My Chat with Jet and Roger!

Hello and welcome!

Today I have a yummy duo that I just had to have here on the chat.

Please welcome Jet and Roger!

What are your full names?

Jet: Jet Frost. nudged by Houston, he continues You want the whole thing? scowls before exhaling loudly I was adopted by a couple called Quartermain though my parents are named Switzer. Since there’s been Frosts on the Circle C since 1868 I changed mine when we married. Easier for the kids.

Houston: Lila’s carrying the start of the next generation, meaning my son and Jet’s daughter. he grins, obviously proud I’m Houston Simpson, ma’am. narrows eyes in warning Only my father calls me Roger.

What is one word best describes you?

Jet:  Determined.

Houston: Ma’am, about the only time I use one word it’s something that’s not fit for a lady’s ears. grins But if I must, how about flirt?
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.

Jet: Boots, socks, jeans, T-shirt, and hat.

Houston: Below the belt we’re both wearing Ropers, which are cowboy boots with a wide toe, socks, and well-worn Wranglers still dusty from work. We’ve both got leather belts with a Montana Silversmith buckle. My daddy got me this buckle with a yellow rose of Texas. he tilts the silver oval to show a gold rose surrounded by black stars Above the belt I’ve got a T-shirt that used to be white and a black Lone Star hat. grins You know what they say. You can take the boy out of Texas, but yee-haw! raises his hat and winks

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?

Jet abruptly leans forward, forearms on knees, dropping his head, he mutters Dang woman talks too much.

Houston: You mean she knows you too well. kicks Jet’s ankle. Before he can react Jet swats him in the back of his head. He laughs Best take that as a ‘yes, ma’am’.

What makes you laugh out loud?

Jet: This fool when he puts both feet in his mouth while trying to backpedal and falls on his ass. tilts his head toward Houston

Houston: Hey, I resent that remark! suddenly turns serious I laugh a lot, ma’am. Ms. Butler says I play the fool to hide what I don’t want others to see. looks up, eyes hard and direct If you’re asking what makes me happy it’s seeing kids, ones who’ve been told that they’re not good enough, finally realizing someone believes in them. They look up at you, hoping that this time, after all the other times they were let down, you might come through for them.

Jet: Houston’s got a fortune in oil. He’s come through for a lot of kids. punches Houston in the shoulder, breaking the sombre mood

What is your favourite dessert?

Jet winces I have to say Lila’s chocolate chip cookies.

Houston: That’s not what you said when even the pigs wouldn’t eat the last batch. snorts a laugh Lila doesn’t set off the smoke alarm as much now, but…dayam! he shudders, exaggerating it I like anything Aunt Marci bakes. Pie, cake, squares, cookies… leans back, sighing in rapture That woman can make an old boot taste mighty fine.

Jet: After Lila’s cooking I’ll take Mrs. Mac’s cinnamon buns, with raisins and cream cheese frosting.

What is your favourite drink?

Jet: Water. Maybe a couple beers if we’re out.

Houston: Sweet Texas tea while working, beer with buddies, and single-malt whiskey when I’ve time to savor it. Eighteen year old Oban, or even better, the 1989 Balblair. sighs Now you’ve got me wanting a wee dram.

What is your greatest fear?

Jet: Losing Lila and our babies. When I thought that son-of-a-gun killed her… looks away, blinking

Houston: Ditto. absently rubs the leg hit with shrapnel from the roadside bomb that forced him out of the army I went nuts when I found out my sister had passed. Don’t know how I’d get through losing our wife or children.

Jet: We’ve all signed up as organ donors. The only way I’d get through losing someone I love, is knowing others will live because of it.

What is your favourite colour?

Jet scowls What does that have to do with anything?

Houston: You’ll have to pardon Jet. The only time he pays attention to color, other than to tell animals apart, is when it’s touching Lila’s skin. As in lingerie.

Jet nodding She looks good in green. It matches her eyes.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?

Jet’s lip twitch My wife. And all she wears is a smile.

Houston: Dammit, Jet, you’ve made the lady blush. they share a look We might as well enjoy it now. Once the twins are crawling, we’ll have to wear something.

What is the perfect romantic date?

Jet:  A picnic at the Double Diamond’s hot springs. Just me and Lila, skinny dipping under a full moon.

Houston: I’d take Lila to an adventure theme park in Texas for the day. When she was a kid she was so determined to prove that she could be as good as her male cousins that she never really got to play. So we’d spend the day having fun. She’d relax at a spa during her mani-pedi and facial, then get all dolled up and we’d go out for some barbeque and dancing.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?

Both men look at each other, shake their heads, and refuse to speak

What part of your wife first caught your interest?

Jet: Her size. I’m six-six and big all over. Lila’s almost six feet tall and has rancher muscles which means she’s big enough to share fun without breaking. What you should ask is what kept my interest, and that was her sharp mind and attitude.

Houston: You gotta know I grew up with people who judged people by how they looked and the size of their assets. First time I saw Lila I was lying in the back of Jet’s truck, still badly banged up. All’s I could see of her was her face and that gorgeous rack. We shared scars and then she asked if my hydraulics still worked. She didn’t give a damn about my scars because she cared more about what was inside. Still does.

What is one word best describes Lila Frost, the woman you share?

Jet: Mine. glares at Houston, daring him to dispute it

Houston shakes his head, sighing as if in pity I believe the word you are looking for, ma’am, is caring. Sometimes she cares too much. Then it’s our job to remind her to take care of herself as well.

Jet: True. holds up his left hand, where a gold ring shines But she’s still mine.

Is your book part of a series?

Jet: Yes, one that’ll be continuing for a while. Ms. Butler might have discovered us but we exist now, and that’s not going to change. We won’t disappear if Ms. Butler stops writing about us for a bit. nods abruptly, as if to make it so

Houston: To answer your question, ma’am, there’s at least seven sets of bachelor brothers who need wives, and so books to create them.

What does the future hold for the readers of the series?

Houston: Well, I also heard Simon MacDougal’s got Beth Elliott helping him track down descendants of the original Tanner’s Ford ancestors.

Jet jerks his head to face Houston Beth? He’s got that ghost working for him?

Houston: Simon wants to bring in as many members of the original families as he can, including the Texas branches of the MacDougal and McInnes families. He says Climax is not going to fade into the dust because of the economy. A cask of buried gold nuggets would help.

Jet: I heard a few handfuls of nuggets went into building the rehab facility and senior’s home. It’s for wounded veterans and locals. Houston spent a fair bit of time there.

Houston: I called those torturing physios some bad names but they do good work.

Jet: He’s putting some of his oil money into a new pool building with saunas and a therapeutic whirlpool. There’s even going to be a kiddy section.

Houston shrugs it off Our twins need to learn to swim in something other than a damn cold river. A lot of the staff are female. If they wear bikinis in the pool some of the cousins might find themselves a wife without Beth’s help. eyes light up And speaking of wives, ours should be waking from her baby nap. Duty calls, ma’am.

Thank you so much for chatting with me, I am hoping to see you again.

I hope you enjoyed the chat with the 2 hunks. Thanks for joining us.

Jet and Houston hail from “No strings Attached”, book 4 in Climax Montana series by Reece Butler.  Check out the snippet on the website.

Tough rancher Lila Frost is determined to prove to her parents that she can manage the Circle C Ranch while they’re away for a month. She’s desperate for hired hands, so eagerly signs up Jet Quartermain and “Houston”. Having just left the Army, Jet wants to ease into civilian life while Houston needs to recover from his injuries.

Lila’s experience with men has been limited and boring, though her fantasy life is rich. Jet’s insistence he be her master at night both arouses and annoys her. Naturally dominant men, they find her independence an enjoyable challenge. She enjoys their attention, and the jealousy shown by spiteful rivals from her past.

The stakes are raised with the possibility of pregnancy as Jet, born a bastard, insists a baby means a husband while Lila refuses to consider it. When Lila’s life is threatened all three must reconsider their pasts, the present, and future plans.

My Chat with Baron Wolfgang

Hello and welcome!

I am bringing one of my book boyfriends over from the old blog because I can’t let him be forgotten.

Wolfgang … what can I say… sigh

Oh and here he is…

Welcome, welcome! Please sit. Would you like some coffee, tea or maybe some hot chocolate? I will have some hot chocolate, my favourite on an evening like this, rainy and blustery for sure out there. I was hoping spring will finally arrive, but Mother Nature has other ideas. I love whipped cream on my hot chocolate!

Yes, I would love to try your whipped cream and hot chocolate…
he winks

Good thing I wasn’t drinking it then, I would have chocked LOL

Here are some cup cakes, really delicious, even the cup is edible! licking fingers

He stares at me…

Shall we begin? OK so here I go.
Wish me luck, he looks very imposing, forbidding even, and I should feel intimidated, but I know better. Besides, I see the mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

What is your full name?
I am the Baron Wolfgang Gerhart Von Schlader.

Do you have a nickname?
Only one calls me Wolf.

What is one word best describes you?

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
It is on the cool side so I am dressed in a warm pair of pants with a fur lined Hussar coat. I have a pair of knee high boots.
he does look rather delish

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Embarrassingly so. There were some parts of my character I would rather have had brushed over. I like to think of myself as a fair man, I don’t like having my faults laid out for the rest of the world to look at.

What makes you laugh out loud?
I enjoy a good joke and lighthearted play.

What is your fave dessert?

Oooh… mine too!
I should have made some!!!

What is your greatest fear?
The same as anyone else, that my country might someday go to war, that those that I love will be hurt or worse.

What is your fave colour?
I love the color red, in moderation of course.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
I am a civilized man. I wear pyjamas… for a while at least…

What is the perfect romantic date?
I believe the perfect romantic date would be to go out for a dinner at an expensive restaurant then to go to a ball or dance of some sort. I like to hold my woman in my arms and in this time you have to be careful of these things so you don’t cause her dishonor but mere association. Waltzing is the perfect excuse, you can look into her eyes and dream as you move across the floor.

I love the waltz and the tango, my Father taught me many types of dances. I love dancing.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Clearing throat. I am a little sensitive on the sides. Well perhaps just below the ear as well, but not to the fingers.
he smiles and winks

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
I love the smell of the earth after the first rain in spring. It has a sense of cleanliness about it. A feeling of renewal.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I like my women to have class, nothing crass or abrasive. A woman is special, she should have grace as well as beauty and she should be happy. A well loved woman is a thing of beauty.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Yes, my Janice.

What is one word best describes her?
She is spirited.

Is this book part of a series?
This is a stand alone book.
Oh! That is too bad.

Well, I guess there comes a time when all good things come to an end. Thank you for accepting my invitation for a chat.
It was my pleasure!

He bows and kisses my hand. Not many men do that anymore, do they? sigh

Thank you for coming by and reading my chat with Wolfgang. He is the main hunk, well… one of them, in My Darling, Janice by M. A. Abraham. There is another one, but you just have to read it to find out 😀

Isn’t this just gorgeous? Loved the work that Cora Graphics did.

Rothliel has learned his Life Mate’s name and his brother tells him that the time has come for him to claim her. Lothrariel also tells him about her plans. He is not pleased with what he hears. Nothing, however, that he says deters her when they meet, and he is drawn into her game plan.

Neither Larien nor Rothliel are prepared for what they find. The Demon Mountains hide many secrets from the world. They are not what everyone thinks they are. What has the Drazon been hiding? They are about to find out, as they travel deep into the Demons Lair.

Excerpt from “Return of the Legend” and this is where he appears in the series…. quite a predicament to be in 😀

The moment Gabriel caught a glimpse of Eden he froze.  Eden was standing perfectly still.  Her chin was lifted high in the air, and a naked male Elf stood behind her.  There was a knife pressed to her throat and a look of determination on her face.  There was no question in Gabriel’s mind that she was in trouble and while he slid up behind the strange Elf he noticed that he was also standing as stiffly as Eden.  Why?  That didn’t make any sense.

“Drop your knife or die,” Gabriel snarled at the stranger as he pressed his own knife against the neck of the male Elf holding his Life Mate captive.

“You tell her to drop her knife and I will drop mine.”  The strange Elf returned.

“What knife?”  Gabriel asked before he had a chance to think whom he was asking about.   Of course Eden would have a knife.

The strange Elf didn’t hesitate to answer, as he replied.  “The knife she is holding my balls hostage with.  I have no intention of killing a pregnant female Elf any more than you would.”

Gabriel almost gave in to an urge to burst out laughing as he took his knife away from the Elf’s neck and addressed his Life Mate.

“Eden, let the Elf’s balls go.”

“Give me one good reason why I should trust him.”  Eden replied.

“She isn’t a female to take orders, is she?”  The Elf remarked.

“No, orders are not her favorite thing.”  Gabriel replied.

“If I lower my knife, will you lower yours?”  The Elf offered as a gesture of good faith.

Eden looked as if she was prepared to give the matter some thought, but little credence.  Gabriel was not about to let her get away with that.  There was no aura of menace about the Elf to indicate that he didn’t mean exactly what he said.  The only sign of ill intent he could see was coming from his Life Mate.  It was time this matter was settled, and the male Elf clothed.

“Eden, now.”  Gabriel ordered with a sharp snap to the tone of his voice.

Eden immediately balked, and Gabriel warned her.  “No Eden, you are to do exactly as I said, and you are going to do it now.  I am not happy having to stand here and watch while you have your hands around another man’s balls.”

Eden gasped, the stranger grinned, and Gabriel knew he was going to regret saying what he had.  Eden was going to have a few words to say to him later, if she was talking to him.  He decided, he would cross that bridge when he got to it.  He watched as Eden pulled her knife away from the male Elf so fast he could have sworn she had been burned.  The knife at her throat disappeared equally quickly.

“You don’t appear to be dressed for the weather,” Gabriel noted as he lightly teased the strange Elf.

“Really?”  The Elf returned.  “I thought myself appropriately undressed for the temperature.  If my lack of attire offends you I can see to the matter immediately.”

It took the Elf little more than a thought, and he was dressed in a foreign uniform.

“You may tell your Life Mate it is safe for her to turn around and face me now.”

Eden turned without being told and Gabriel snickered.  She was still blushing and he loved it.  She frowned at the two men, then decided to let the matter go.  There had been no harm done.  She looked at the strange Elf and wondered whom he was, and where he had come from.  He certainly looked like a man who would be popular with the women.  She couldn’t help but compare him with Gabriel and although she found him lacking, she knew many others would not.

To Eden the strange Elf’s hair was too bland, not that Gabriel’s was all that much darker, but she had never favored white blonde hair.  She looked at his eyes and she noted that they were too blue, granted they were much like her own, but men should never have eyes that blue, it didn’t look right.  His mouth was too generous, his nose too straight, his hair too long, his skin too dark, his body too lean and his outfit strange.  She frowned as she moved to Gabriel’s side, and she exuded pure attitude.

Gabriel chuckled at the look on the strange Elf’s face as he studied Eden in return.  He knew they were not about to hit it off right away.  Not with the way they had met.  Eden was not the type to forget that someone got the drop on her in her own forest.

“Where am I?”  The foreign Elf asked.

“I am going to assume that we are in the part of the forest that used to be covered by the veil.”  Gabriel replied.

“The veil has fallen or you wouldn’t be here, and neither would the other Elves that are about to join us.”  The foreign Elf added.

“You seem to know a lot about the veil that formed the boundary.”  Gabriel noted as Marious and Torrent broke out of the trees at a run.

Until next time!

My Chat with Mary Morgan

Hello and welcome!

Today I have a wonderful, sweet lady I met recently. How did we meet you ask?

Well… You know the new feature I started not long ago where I invite my friends for a chat with their book boyfriends, right? My friend Liz invited Alastair Colum MacKay. You can read the chat here. He intrigued me, so I read the series thinking I will pick my own book boyfriend. Let me tell you, I couldn’t pick. Soooo…. I invited the author 😀

Please welcome Mary Morgan!

Scottish paranormal romance author, Mary Morgan resides in Northern California, with her own knight in shining armor. However, during her travels to Scotland, England, and Ireland, she left a part of her soul in one of these countries and vows to return.
Mary’s passion for books started at an early age along with an overactive imagination. She spent far too much time daydreaming and was told quite often to remove her head from the clouds. It wasn’t until the closure of Borders Books where Mary worked that she found her true calling–writing romance. Now, the worlds she created in her mind are coming to life within her stories.

Do you have a nickname?
Yes. It’s Lori. My full name is Mary Lorine, so the nickname is a portion of my middle name.

What is one word best describes you?

What makes you laugh out loud?
Hearing my grandchildren play. Their playfulness and laughter is so infectious.

What is your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Roses. It invokes warm, spring days filled with love.
I love the pics you posted the other day, beautiful roses.

Screen Shot 2016-04-07 at 3.45.00 PM.png

Favourite place to spend time in.
Near the woods by the ocean in Monterey.

Is there a genre that you refuse to read?
Crime thrillers. I have a difficult time reading them.

Writing! What started it?
I’ve started writing at a young age—from poems to plays. I constantly daydreamed, creating these imaginary worlds within my mind.

If you could choose another career what would it be?
History professor or archaeology.

Audiobooks! What started them?
So many readers had asked me. In addition, I love listening to stories on audio. If you have a good narrator, he/she can transport you within the pages of the book.

Does your work convey a specific emotion or message?
Most definitely! I believe anyone can seek redemption, if they truly want to be redeemed. I also believe in the healing power of true love.

Who is your intended audience and why should they read your books?
For anyone who wants to escape into another world—filled with history, mythology, and true love. Stories that will sweep you across time to the Highlands of Scotland and the shores of Ireland. Where warriors will fight for redemption and the women they love.

What is next in your writing?
I’ve just finished writing the fifth and final Dragon Knight’s story, so I’m keeping fingers crossed it will be out late summer. Currently, I’m working on a Christmas short story with one of the characters from the Dragon Knights series. I’ll share more in the next few months. Afterwards, a brand new series with the Fenian Warriors.

OOOOH! Fenian Warriors you say? I like the sound of that.
Thank you Mary for coming for a chat and putting up with my indecision in choosing my book boyfriend. You make it really hard, you know. I love them all. I am looking forward to reading more.

Thank you all for joining us today and hope you enjoyed the chat.

INTERCESSION by M. A. Abraham – Cover Reveal

Hello and welcome!

Look at the gorgeous cover of a book coming in 2017. I know it is early still, but I am so excited. This series is growing and expanding in a way I think even the author is surprised. The characters have a mind of their own and she learned is better to give in, otherwise she will not get any sleep 😉 it is enough that the Gorgeous Bratz keep her awake…

Intercession is book 4 in the Tantalus series by M. A. Abraham.

designed by talented Cora Graphics

In the history of the Tantalarian people, The Tribunal Elder is the only one who ever stood up to the Tribunal. He did that when he was a Tribune, and managed to live to eventually lead it. He had disagreed with a decision the counsel made and acted on it. In protest; he cut off his ceremonial braid and threw the discarded plait onto the floor at The Elder’s feet, and refused to ever wear a braid again. His action was considered an insult, to the Elder of that time, as well as the Tribunal. The spirit of the man, who was, still lives in the ruler who is now.

The Tribunal Elder has lived through more millennium than he cares to think about. He is not the type to shirk his duties. He is a force to recon with; yet he is known to be a kind man. To settle a dispute between the Martians and the Human settlers, he is being forced to take the mother ship that they had arrived on Tantalus with many eons before back into space. This, he is not happy about.

The message from the Martians is clear, remove the settlers from the surface of their planet, or they will die. The Tribunal Elder soon discovers there is more to this than those who are command know about, for the act that precipitated this action had multiple events. Someone is working in the background, manipulating forces, to create a power struggle between the two species.

Will he allow the Tantalarians to be pulled into a conflict that they have and want nothing to do with?

That gorgeous hunk on the cover is The Tribunal Elder sigh
