Hello and welcome!
One of my newest BBF agreed to chat with me and I am so excited. I met him in September and you might remember I posted about the audiobook, if you missed it, check it out here.
Please welcome Drew!
What is your full name?
Really? My full name? I don’t usually share that information with strangers, but since this is an interview, I’ll tell you. It’s Andrew Niles Whitney. I know, it’s a horrible name.
Do you have a nickname?
That’s easy, it’s Drew. I’ve had a few other nicknames, but Drew is the most public-friendly if you know what I mean.
What is one word best describes you?
My friends would say it’s reliable. But my family would probably say it’s smartass. Wait, is this blog for mature audiences only? If not, let’s just go with reliable.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
What do you want me to be wearing…? Okay, just kidding.
It’s my day off, and it’s sweltering in Sacramento today. Because of that, I’m barefoot and wearing khaki cargo shorts with a faded blue t-shirt.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
For the most part, I do. I’m not happy about that whole lying thing, but I was trying to get the girl and get our happy ending. I wouldn’t usually lie like that for any reason, but I was afraid of losing Emily. I took desperate measures, but that’s a testament to how much I love her. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Unfortunately, it almost lost me the girl. All in all, I’d say it was an honest portrayal of who I am. If anything, readers got to see the best and the very worst of me.
What makes you laugh out loud?
Ha! This is a great question. My kids make me laugh out loud pretty regularly. They’re complete goofballs most of the time. I try to make them laugh too, but sometimes they just don’t get my dad jokes.
What is your favourite dessert?
Pie. I love pie. Any kind too, I’m not picky. I’m also a big fan of fruit for dessert. I think I picked that up after spending so much time in Hawaii.
What is your favourite drink?
I’m a beer drinker. That is if you mean alcoholic drinks. Outside of alcoholic beverages, I love coffee, and I always have a bottle of water on me.
What is your greatest fear?
This question hurts to think about. As a widower, I’ve already lived through one of my greatest fear. But I always worry about something happening to one of my kids.
What is your favourite colour?
Let’s see… what is my favorite color? I’m not sure. It’s been a long time since someone has asked me that. I guess if I had to pick, I’d say I love greens and blues, sort of like the colors of the ocean.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Before kids, I didn’t wear anything to bed. But with kids in the house, I can’t sleep in the nude. You never know when a little kid is going to sneak in and crawl into bed with you. Since becoming a dad, I sleep in cotton pajama pants. If it’s cold, I’ll add a t-shirt too.
What is the perfect romantic date?
If I’m being honest, my perfect romantic date includes lots of sex. Dinner is an excellent addition too that perfect date, but sex is always at the top of my ‘perfect date’ list.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I’m not ticklish. Seriously, why would you think I’m ticklish? Just don’t touch my knees or run your fingers down my inner thigh, and we’ll get along just fine.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Oh, good question! I LOVE the smell of fresh-baked cookies. When I was a kid, my mom was always baking something, and I miss the smell of baked treats. I can’t bake. I manage to cook regular meals for the kids and me, but baking isn’t something I’ve temped yet.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I’m a leg man. If I’m not close enough to see a woman’s eyes, it’s her legs that will usually catch my eye. But I love a pair of beautiful, soulful eyes. I can usually learn a lot from someone’s eyes.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
I do have someone in my life. Emily and I are living together and raising our daughter together. We’re engaged and planning our wedding. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and I believe she is too.
What is one word best describes her?
I’m not sure I can describe her in one word. She’s… everything. She’s perfect. Okay, maybe not perfect, but she’s perfect for me. She’s feisty. She’s smart. She’s complicated. She’s charming, kind, and she has no idea just how special she is. She keeps me on my toes, that’s for sure. Okay, if you’re forcing me to choose one word, that word is captivating.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
My book is the second in a series. Each story is a standalone. Book one is about Emily’s brother. If you think she’s a little crazy, wait until you meet him. Book three is about Mike Murphy and Rachel Williams. Mike and Rachel were high school sweethearts who lost their way. She’s been hiding something from him for fourteen years, but now it’s time for the truth to come out.
Thank you Drew for joining me and answering my nosy questions. Hugs to Emily, lucky woman! Looking forward to listen to Mike and Rachel’s story too.

I hope you enjoyed the chat. I sure did 😉
Drew hails from Accidental Lies – An Unputdownable, Steamy, Sexy Contemporary Romance Novel – book 2 in the Accidental Love Series by Dana Mason.
It was only meant to be a vacation fling….
Three blissful weeks on the beautiful island of Maui are exactly what I need…. Hula dancers, Mai Tais with cocktail umbrellas, and golden beaches – what more could I want?
Then I see her, and I realize she’s exactly what I want.
She was locked outside of her hotel room, all buttoned-up in a suit definitely not appropriate for a vacation, and wearing a fierce take-no-shit stance. But I couldn’t help noticing the pain behind her eyes….
Four Mai Tais later, the chemistry between us is hotter than the Hawaiian sun, and we decide to spend the rest of our vacation unwinding, undressing, and getting to know each other a little better….
We have just two rules:
1) No talking about our lives outside Maui.
2) This is just a vacation fling.
That means I can’t tell her about the heartbreak that haunts me, and the secret I have back home. It means I can’t ask her about the sorrow in her eyes, and why she has such a wall up – a wall I’m determined to bring crashing down.
When the sun sets on our trip, can I say goodbye to this gorgeous blue-eyed beauty? Or am I going to be tempted to break the rules?
And if I do decide to be a rule-breaker, will she even want me when she finds out who I really am?
This is a full-length, standalone romance with some hot-under-the-collar action, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA. For fans of R.S Grey, Whitney G., and Vi Keeland, Accidental Lies features a hot AF alpha and a sizzling will-they-wont-they love story that will have you totally addicted!
My review: audiobook edition – 5 stars
What a great story! I fell in love with Drew from the first, no wonder Emily fell for him. Their chemistry is off the charts. The journey to HEA is not easy, with unpredictable twists, at times I wanted to jump in and shout JUST SAY IT !!! LOL
They both need healing from losing their spouse and I am glad they work it out in the end, they are perfect for each other. The ending is sweet, got me tearing up. A great second chances contemporary romance that I recommend with 5 stars.
The experience was made even better by the voice of one of my fave narrators, Ms. Navarro performs with passion. I love listening to the many characters she brings to life.
I found this series through Ms. Kelsey Navarro, who is my newest voice crushes, added to my “eargasm’ list. Thank you Kelsey ❤

I listened to book 1, Accidental Groom and gave it 4.5 stars
My review:
Accidental?
A good romance mixed with drama, smexy scenes, a few laughs, it ends in HEA but what a ride! The story evolves and as I got to know them, Mac and Kelley are more than they appear. They are great together, their chemistry is hot and they help each other on the healing path from their troubled pasts. It touches some sensitive topics and the author handled them so well. The secondary characters are really helpful and some do elicit strong emotions. – 4 stars
Ms. Navarro is a storyteller and such a pleasure to listen to how she brings the characters and their emotions to life. Love the voices she gives them. – 5 stars
Book 3, Accidental Secrets will be released on December 5 in ebook. Hope the audio will be released shortly after and Ms. Navarro is narrating it.
