My Chat with Drew

Hello and welcome!

One of my newest BBF agreed to chat with me and I am so excited. I met him in September and you might remember I posted about the audiobook, if you missed it, check it out here.

Please welcome Drew!

What is your full name?
Really? My full name? I don’t usually share that information with strangers, but since this is an interview, I’ll tell you. It’s Andrew Niles Whitney. I know, it’s a horrible name.

Do you have a nickname?
That’s easy, it’s Drew. I’ve had a few other nicknames, but Drew is the most public-friendly if you know what I mean.

What is one word best describes you?
My friends would say it’s reliable. But my family would probably say it’s smartass. Wait, is this blog for mature audiences only? If not, let’s just go with reliable.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
What do you want me to be wearing…? Okay, just kidding.
It’s my day off, and it’s sweltering in Sacramento today. Because of that, I’m barefoot and wearing khaki cargo shorts with a faded blue t-shirt.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
For the most part, I do. I’m not happy about that whole lying thing, but I was trying to get the girl and get our happy ending. I wouldn’t usually lie like that for any reason, but I was afraid of losing Emily. I took desperate measures, but that’s a testament to how much I love her. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Unfortunately, it almost lost me the girl. All in all, I’d say it was an honest portrayal of who I am. If anything, readers got to see the best and the very worst of me.

What makes you laugh out loud?
Ha! This is a great question. My kids make me laugh out loud pretty regularly. They’re complete goofballs most of the time. I try to make them laugh too, but sometimes they just don’t get my dad jokes.

What is your favourite dessert?
Pie. I love pie. Any kind too, I’m not picky. I’m also a big fan of fruit for dessert. I think I picked that up after spending so much time in Hawaii.

What is your favourite drink?
I’m a beer drinker. That is if you mean alcoholic drinks. Outside of alcoholic beverages, I love coffee, and I always have a bottle of water on me.

What is your greatest fear?
This question hurts to think about. As a widower, I’ve already lived through one of my greatest fear. But I always worry about something happening to one of my kids.

What is your favourite colour?
Let’s see… what is my favorite color? I’m not sure. It’s been a long time since someone has asked me that. I guess if I had to pick, I’d say I love greens and blues, sort of like the colors of the ocean.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Before kids, I didn’t wear anything to bed. But with kids in the house, I can’t sleep in the nude. You never know when a little kid is going to sneak in and crawl into bed with you. Since becoming a dad, I sleep in cotton pajama pants. If it’s cold, I’ll add a t-shirt too.

What is the perfect romantic date?
If I’m being honest, my perfect romantic date includes lots of sex. Dinner is an excellent addition too that perfect date, but sex is always at the top of my ‘perfect date’ list.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I’m not ticklish. Seriously, why would you think I’m ticklish? Just don’t touch my knees or run your fingers down my inner thigh, and we’ll get along just fine.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Oh, good question! I LOVE the smell of fresh-baked cookies. When I was a kid, my mom was always baking something, and I miss the smell of baked treats. I can’t bake. I manage to cook regular meals for the kids and me, but baking isn’t something I’ve temped yet.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I’m a leg man. If I’m not close enough to see a woman’s eyes, it’s her legs that will usually catch my eye. But I love a pair of beautiful, soulful eyes. I can usually learn a lot from someone’s eyes.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
I do have someone in my life. Emily and I are living together and raising our daughter together. We’re engaged and planning our wedding. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and I believe she is too.

What is one word best describes her?
I’m not sure I can describe her in one word. She’s… everything. She’s perfect. Okay, maybe not perfect, but she’s perfect for me. She’s feisty. She’s smart. She’s complicated. She’s charming, kind, and she has no idea just how special she is. She keeps me on my toes, that’s for sure. Okay, if you’re forcing me to choose one word, that word is captivating.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
My book is the second in a series. Each story is a standalone. Book one is about Emily’s brother. If you think she’s a little crazy, wait until you meet him. Book three is about Mike Murphy and Rachel Williams. Mike and Rachel were high school sweethearts who lost their way. She’s been hiding something from him for fourteen years, but now it’s time for the truth to come out.

Thank you Drew for joining me and answering my nosy questions. Hugs to Emily, lucky woman! Looking forward to listen to Mike and Rachel’s story too.

I hope you enjoyed the chat. I sure did 😉

Drew hails from Accidental LiesAn Unputdownable, Steamy, Sexy Contemporary Romance Novel – book 2 in the Accidental Love Series by Dana Mason.

AccidentalLies-audiocover.jpg

It was only meant to be a vacation fling….

Three blissful weeks on the beautiful island of Maui are exactly what I need…. Hula dancers, Mai Tais with cocktail umbrellas, and golden beaches – what more could I want?

Then I see her, and I realize she’s exactly what I want.

She was locked outside of her hotel room, all buttoned-up in a suit definitely not appropriate for a vacation, and wearing a fierce take-no-shit stance. But I couldn’t help noticing the pain behind her eyes….

Four Mai Tais later, the chemistry between us is hotter than the Hawaiian sun, and we decide to spend the rest of our vacation unwinding, undressing, and getting to know each other a little better….

We have just two rules:

1) No talking about our lives outside Maui.
2) This is just a vacation fling.

That means I can’t tell her about the heartbreak that haunts me, and the secret I have back home. It means I can’t ask her about the sorrow in her eyes, and why she has such a wall up – a wall I’m determined to bring crashing down.

When the sun sets on our trip, can I say goodbye to this gorgeous blue-eyed beauty? Or am I going to be tempted to break the rules?

And if I do decide to be a rule-breaker, will she even want me when she finds out who I really am?

This is a full-length, standalone romance with some hot-under-the-collar action, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA. For fans of R.S Grey, Whitney G., and Vi Keeland, Accidental Lies features a hot AF alpha and a sizzling will-they-wont-they love story that will have you totally addicted!

My review: audiobook edition – 5 stars

What a great story! I fell in love with Drew from the first, no wonder Emily fell for him. Their chemistry is off the charts. The journey to HEA is not easy, with unpredictable twists, at times I wanted to jump in and shout JUST SAY IT !!! LOL
They both need healing from losing their spouse and I am glad they work it out in the end, they are perfect for each other. The ending is sweet, got me tearing up. A great second chances contemporary romance that I recommend with 5 stars.
The experience was made even better by the voice of one of my fave narrators, Ms. Navarro performs with passion. I love listening to the many characters she brings to life.

I found this series through Ms. Kelsey Navarro, who is my newest voice crushes, added to my “eargasm’ list. Thank you Kelsey ❤

I listened to book 1, Accidental Groom and gave it 4.5 stars

My review:
Accidental?
A good romance mixed with drama, smexy scenes, a few laughs, it ends in HEA but what a ride! The story evolves and as I got to know them, Mac and Kelley are more than they appear. They are great together, their chemistry is hot and they help each other on the healing path from their troubled pasts. It touches some sensitive topics and the author handled them so well. The secondary characters are really helpful and some do elicit strong emotions. – 4 stars
Ms. Navarro is a storyteller and such a pleasure to listen to how she brings the characters and their emotions to life. Love the voices she gives them. – 5 stars

Book 3, Accidental Secrets will be released on December 5 in ebook. Hope the audio will be released shortly after and Ms. Navarro is narrating it.

Audiobooks to listen to: Shopping for a CEO

Hello and welcome!

I started listening to this series a few days ago and today I finished my fave story so far. I am glad that most are available because they have to be read/listened to in order and the story continues across the series. Waiting for a next book is not my strength 😉

ShoppingCEO.jpg

I’m thrilled to be the maid of honor in my friend’s wedding, but the best man, Andrew McCormick, is a chauvinistic pig with a god complex. And I can’t stop kissing him in closets.

(Don’t ask.)

He’s the brother of the groom and the CEO of my biggest mystery shopping account, but suddenly he’s refusing to be in the wedding. He won’t talk about it. Won’t see reason.

He’s such a man. And he still won’t stop kissing me in random closets.

(Thank goodness.)

I’m a fixer. That’s what I do. I can fix anything if given the chance. But when the game is fixed, there’s only so much I can do.

The ball’s in his court now.

Game on.

My review: 5 stars

This has to be my fave book from the series so far. I loved Amanda from the beginning, she is the BFF of the main character in the previous books. So much is revealed about her life and she does find out things from her past that she blocked out. Andrew is definitely her match, their chemistry is so hawt. At times I wanted to shout, just get it together you two LOL I had so many laughs, I mean laugh out loud, snorting laughs at some of the expressions they used. I did have a few teary moments too. Finding out how that fateful day so many years before had an impact on his life and mind was heart breaking. Loved the ending and Marie gets what she deserves, geez that woman was exasperating. – 5 stars

My first listen to Amy McFadden and I think she is brilliant, how she uses her voice, her emotional delivery and just the perfect pitch, giving each character their own voice. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Going on my ‘eargasm’ list. – 5 stars

Shopping for a CEO is book 7 in the The Shopping Series by Julia Kent.

Shopping-for-a-Billionaire-series-banner.png

The GYST challenge – week 2

Hello and welcome!

Last week I joined the “Get Your Sh*t Together Challenge”. Missed my post? Check it out here.

gyst-partial.png

Weeeelll… I made my list on the 1st, one small thing for each day, but… you know how life is, right? I didn’t do all the tasks from the list, but I did other tasks so that maybe balances it out.

I made my DS clean out his closet of the clothes he’s outgrown, it only took 6 months LOL now I have to find a good home for them, most of them are brand new. That will be a task for this week.

I cleaned out the fridge of things that I bought thinking let’s try something new, but never used. I am adventurous when it comes to cuisines, I like to try new things (within limits) but my DS is a picky eater so it is hard to get him to even taste new stuff, but slowly I am introducing him to new foods, just have to catch him on a good day. 16 is hard let me tell you 😛

One of the tasks was to spend at least one hour with my DS each night chatting about our day or things that he is interested in without phones, iPads nearby or the TV on. He surprises me again and again on how much he understand of things in general or even more complex things. Accomplished 4 out of 7, so that is not bad, right?

I made 250 swag bags for KaLiCon, it took about 9 hours EEEEK but I finished one audiobook and half way thru the 2nd one … WIN-WIN … right?

The ‘clear the clutter from the coffee table‘ task, was 75% successful, but didn’t last long.

Email cleaning – ACK during book signings or busy days at the office when I can check my email only sporadically, emails pile up. So I cleaned out over 8,000 emails in the last week and I am staying on top of it, until the next books signing that is LOL

One of the more daunting tasks is to go thru a pile of papers (3 plastic bins and one wooden chest worth) and shred the papers that are not needed anymore. Since my home shredder gave its last breath a few months ago, I’ve been putting it off, but this week I’ve been bringing small bundles and get them shredded at work. I wish I had a backyard, I could make a beautiful bonfire LOL

The one task that was on my list and wanted to do last week is cleaning the computer desk, didn’t get to it yet, but I am adding it to this weeks tasks. Has to be done, the things came close to tumble off when my DS was looking for an eraser because he could not find the other 4 he has eye roll

How did you do? Did you make a list? Did you start? No worries if you didn’t. You will when you are ready.

A new week start today, wish me luck. Tonight is ‘teach the DS the art of deep scrub of the bathroom’ task.

I will be posting in a week and give you my results. Drop by and tell me what YOU did.

Until next time… read a book, listen to a book and don’t forget to show your love by leaving a review!

Audiobooks to listen to: Cold Justice series

Hello and welcome!

I would love to tell you about a series that I just finished today.

Cold Justice series by Toni Anderson

If you like the contemporary suspense romance genre, you have to read or better yet, listen to the books in this awesome series, narrated by one of my eargasm voices, Eric G. Dove.

name.png

Fast-paced Romantic Suspense with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Each book is a standalone with a different hero and heroine. Characters crossover so readers might get the best experience by starting at the beginning!

1.jpg

Book 1: A Cold Dark Place

Justice isn’t always black or white. Sometimes it’s cold and dark.

Former CIA assassin Alex Parker works for The Gateway Project, a clandestine government organization hell-bent on taking out serial killers and pedophiles before they enter the justice system. Alex doesn’t enjoy killing, but he’s damn good at it. He’s good at dodging the law, too–until a beautiful rookie agent has him wondering what it might be like to get caught.

FBI Special Agent Mallory Rooney has spent years hunting the lowlife who abducted her identical twin sister eighteen years ago. Now, during an on-going serial killer investigation, Mallory begins to suspect there’s a vigilante operating outside the law. She has no choice but to take him down, because murder isn’t justice. Is it?

When Mallory starts asking questions, The Gateway Project management starts to sweat, and orders Alex to watch her. As soon as they meet, the two begin to fall in love. But the lies and betrayals that define Alex’s life threaten to destroy them both – especially when the man who stole her sister all those years ago makes Mallory his next target, and Alex must reveal his true identity to save the woman he loves.

2.jpg

Book 2: Cold Pursuit

Single mom Vivi Vincent is thrust into her worst nightmare when she’s trapped inside a mall during a terror attack along with her eight-year-old son. With the help of Jed Brennan, an FBI special agent on enforced leave, Vivi and her son survive the assault. But the danger is far from over.

Vivi’s son may have witnessed critical details of the terrorists’ future plans and is targeted for death, but he’s mute, and he’s traumatized. Still someone launches a strike against the FBI’s safe house, and Jed fears the bad guys have an inside man. No longer knowing who to trust, he hides mother and son in a log cabin deep in the heart of the Wisconsin Northwoods. There Jed and Vivi try to figure out how to unlock the information inside her son’s head. What they don’t bargain for is the red-hot attraction that flares between them, or the extent of the sinister plot that threatens to rip apart not only any chance of happiness they might have together, but also the very fabric of American society.

3.jpg

Book 3: Cold Light Of Day

Physicist Scarlett Stone is the daughter of the man considered to be the most notorious Russian agent in FBI history. With her father dying in prison she’s determined to prove he’s innocent, but time is running out. Using a false identity, she gains access to the Russian ambassador’s Christmas party, searching for evidence of a set-up.

Former Navy SEAL, now FBI Special Agent, Matt Lazlo, is instantly attracted to Scarlett but life is too complicated to pursue a politician’s daughter. When he discovers she lied to him about her identity, he hunts her down with the ruthless efficiency he usually reserves for serial killers.

Not only does Scarlett’s scheme fail, it puts her in the sights of powerful people who reward unwanted curiosity with brutality. The FBI – and Matt – aren’t thrilled with her, either. But as agents involved in her father’s investigation start dying, and the attempts to stop Scarlett intensify, Matt and his colleagues begin to wonder. Could they have a traitor in their midst? As Scarlett and Matt dig for the truth they begin to fall passionately for one another. But the real spy isn’t about to let anyone uncover their secrets, and resolves to remain firmly in the shadows – and for that to happen, Matt and Scarlett have to die.

4.jpg

Book 4: Cold Fear

A relentless FBI profiler hunts a vicious killer.

When old evidence turns up on a fresh corpse, ASAC Lincoln Frazer is determined it won’t delay the execution of a convicted serial killer. But when more young women are brutally slain, it becomes clear – this new killer is intimately familiar with the old murders.

A dedicated emergency physician hides a dark secret.

Former Army Captain Dr. Isadora Campbell helped her mother conceal a terrible crime. After her mother’s death, Izzy resigned her commission and returned to the Outer Banks to raise her rebellious teenage sister. But it doesn’t take long for Izzy to suspect that someone knows exactly what she did, all those years ago.

If they work together, maybe no one else will die.

With pressure mounting to reopen the old case, Frazer will use any means possible to catch the killer. Thrust together during the investigation, he and Izzy find themselves reluctantly attracted to one another, and begin an affair. Meanwhile, the killer is much closer than they think. Izzy’s confession of her secret drives Frazer away as he struggles with her deception. By the time he realizes he’s fallen in love with the stubborn woman, the killer has her. Now the race is on to save Izzy and any chance of a future they might have together.

Book 5: Cold In The Shadows

CIA Agent Patrick Killion is on a secret mission to hunt down the ruthless female assassin hired to kill the vice president of the United States. The trail leads him to the Colombian rainforest, and an earnest biologist, Audrey Lockhart, whose work on poison dart frogs gives her access to one of the deadliest substances on Earth – the same substance used to murder the VP.

When Audrey is attacked by the local drug cartel, Killion steps in and hustles her out of harm’s way, determined to find out what she knows. His interrogation skills falter somewhere between saving her life and nursing her back to health as he realizes she’s innocent, and he ends up falling for her. Audrey has a hard time overlooking the fact that Killion kidnapped her, but if she wants to get her life back and track down the bad guys, she has to trust him. Then someone changes the rules of their cat and mouse game, and now they’re the ones being hunted – by a cold-blooded killer who is much closer than they think.

6.jpg

Book 6: Cold Hearted

Hunting for a killer who doesn’t play by the rules.

Detective Erin Donovan expects life to quiet down after the arrest and conviction of a serial rapist who terrified her university town last summer. Then two young women are brutally slain and the murders bear all the hallmarks of the campus rapist. Did Erin arrest an innocent man? Now her job is at stake and tensions are high and just when it looks like things can’t get worse, her department gets the help it needs to solve the double homicide – in the form of a man Erin has never been able to forget.

FBI Agent Darsh Singh has no interest in reliving the past. Three years ago, his feelings for Erin Donovan had him breaking all his rules about getting involved. Now his only interest in the former NYPD detective is figuring out if she screwed up a rape investigation and helped send an innocent man to prison. But being forced to work together rekindles their old attraction, and as Darsh and Erin fall for each other, the campus predator fixates on Erin. The race is on to identify the ruthless killer before he makes Erin his final victim.

7.jpg

Book 7: Cold Secrets

When an international ring of sex traffickers kidnaps an eight-year-old girl in Boston, FBI Agent Lucas Randall heads undercover. But his rescue operation goes disastrously wrong and Lucas barely escapes with his life. Now the ruthless traffickers are hunting him down, along with everyone else who threatens their operation.

Computer expert Ashley Chen joined the FBI to fight against evil in the world – evil she experienced firsthand. She has mad skills, and deadly secrets, and once she starts working with Lucas, she also has big trouble, because after years of pushing people away, she’s falling for the guy. The feeling is more than mutual, but as Ashley intensifies her online pursuit of the trafficking ring, her traumatic past collides with her present and suddenly Lucas can’t tell which side she’s on. And as the case escalates into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, it turns out Ashley isn’t the only one with something to hide.

If neither can trust the other with their secrets, how can they trust each other with their hearts?

8.jpg

Book 8: Cold Malice

ASAC Steve “Mac” McKenzie is out to prove himself by leading a task force investigating a series of murders in the heart of Washington, DC. His undercover work in an anti-government compound twenty years earlier is related – as is the sweet, innocent girl he befriended back then. Now that girl is a beautiful woman, and she has something to hide.

Tess Fallon spent a lifetime trying to outrun her family’s brand of bigotry, but someone is threatening her anonymity by using the anniversary of her father’s death to carry out evil crimes, and she’s terrified her younger brother is involved. She sets out to find the truth and comes face-to-face with a man she once idolized, a man she thought long dead. As the crimes escalate, it becomes obvious the killer has an agenda, and Tess and Mac are running out of time to stop him.

Will the perpetrator use a decades-old dream of revolution to attack the federal government? And will the fact that Tess and Mac have fallen hard for each other give a cold-hearted killer the power to destroy them both?

9.jpg

Book 9: A Cold Dark Promise (Wedding Novella)

A Cold Dark Promise takes place during the week leading up to the wedding of former assassin Alex Parker to FBI Agent Mallory Rooney, who meet and fall in love in the novel, A Cold Dark Place. In the midst of wedding preparations, a shadowy figure from Alex Parker’s past reappears and threatens the joy he’s found with Mallory Rooney.

Four years ago, Jane Sanders’ rich and powerful ex-husband kidnapped their young daughter, and Jane hasn’t seen her since. Now, she finally has a lead on her location, and she knows just the man to help her get her daughter back. Trouble is, he’s an assassin. And he terrifies her.

Despite his upcoming nuptials, Alex agrees to help, but it doesn’t take long for the routine operation to turn complicated and deadly. Can the former CIA operative make it home in time to marry the woman he loves, or will his dark past destroy all hope for their future?

10.jpg

Book 10: Cold Blooded

Searching for the truth just turned deadly.

Disgraced investigative journalist Pip West is devastated when she discovers her best friend’s body facedown in a tranquil lake. When cops and federal agents determine her friend overdosed and then drowned, Pip knows they’re mistaken and intends to prove it.

Special Agent Hunt Kincaid doesn’t trust journalists and has no patience for Pip’s delusions, especially since her meddling could reveal why the FBI is interested in her friend’s last days. The dead scientist worked at the cutting edge of vaccine research and might have a connection to a new, weaponized, vaccine-resistant anthrax strain that just hit the black market.

Pip is thrown off her game by grief and her unexpected attraction to the handsome federal agent. Hunt battles the same unwelcome pull, determined to resist the heat that threatens to consume them both. But the more Pip digs, the closer she gets to both the sexy FBI agent and to a bioweapons terrorist who’s more than capable of cold-bloodedly sacrificing anyone who gets in his way.

My Review
Overall – 5 stars
Performance – 5 stars
Story – 5 stars

Cold Justice Series Box Set, Volume I: Books 1-3
AUDIOBOOK edition

Love Ms. Anderson style, her books are thrilling, big on suspense, hard to guess who did the crime and it is always a surprise. Adding the romance and a few hot scenes makes it appealing to the romantic in me. I recommend the series with 5 stars.

The voice of Mr. Dove was a great choice for this series, he makes the stories believable and enjoyable, the characters come to life. – 5 stars

Cold Justice Series Box Set: Volume 2: Books 4-6
AUDIOBOOK edition

Ms. Anderson sure knows how to keep the blood pressure high. The suspense building in her stories, mixed in with a few hot scenes, are sure to keep your heart going fast. It is almost impossible to guess who the bad guys are in her stories, and when it is revealed, you will be surprised. – 5 stars

Mr. Dove is giving the characters and stories life with masterful manipulation of his voice. Very enjoyable experience. Looking forward to more. – 5 stars

Book 7
AUDIOBOOK edition

I loved being back in Ms. Anderson’s Cold Justice world. Suspense, fast paced action, mystery and the twists makes this a story that will make it impossible to stop listening to. There are also a few heart breaking moments when finding out how the young girls were abused, it makes you think how some people are so rotten to the core. Definitely not for the faint of heart. The chemistry is off the charts between the H and h, results in a few hawt scenes. Ashley and Lucas get their HEA, so it ends well… not so much for the bad guys though, they get what is coming to them. – 5 stars

Mr. Dove is masterful with the manipulation of his voice, giving each character its own. Always a delight to listen. – 5 stars

Book 8

AUDIOBOOK edition

WOW I think this one was the most realistic and suspenseful of the series. I could not stop listening and it is well past my bedtime… what work? LOL Chilling premise, to think some people are so callous and heartless even to their own family, never mind strangers who happen to be different. Right up to the end I could not figure out who the evil mastermind was, so many twists and quite a few surprising revelations. Well done! Glad it ended well but there were quite a few close call for both the H and h. – 5 stars

Again, Mr. Dove made it an amazing experience to listen, giving each character its own life. I felt like I was there with them in the story. – 5 stars

Book 9

AUDIOBOOK edition

WOW talk about a close call. Alex sure fought to be in time for his own wedding and his love waiting for him at the altar. Love their close bond and their faith in each other and I am glad it all worked out. My heart is till pounding after listening what Alex and his team went thru to save a little girl and the world. It was also great to see the other players we met in the previous books. A great addition to the series, Ms. Anderson. – 5 stars

As usual, Mr. Dove did an excellent performance telling the story, love listening to his voice. – 5 stars

Book 10

AUDIOBOOK edition

I think this is my fave story from the series. Suspense kept my heart beating a mile a minute, the believable plot kept me listening on. Loved the relationship between Hunt and Pip. She has near misses with death so many times wonder she is still sane, but Hunt is there to save her every time. I liked her spunky attitude, that she never gave up on her friend and fought to find out what happened. Their chemistry is hot and I am glad they got their HEA, despite the many obstacles. Toni Anderson is one of my faves in the contemporary suspense romance genre. – 5 stars

Mr. Dove is one of my fave voices and can’t imagine anybody else performing the series. He is masterfully giving each character life. He is on my ‘eargasm’ list. – 5 stars

A few of the authors signing at KaLiCon 2019 joined Andi Lawrencovna to make a boxed set, the KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle, where each share a short story, giving the readers a chance to get to know their writing styles and the worlds they created. It will be available FREE until the event starts. How awesome is that?

I invited their heroes, heroines for a chat to give you a little more than the books and have fun while doing so. Check them out here.

Download the bundle via BookFunnel and start reading today.

Get Your Sh*t Together Challenge

Hello and welcome!

I joined the ‘Get Your Sh*t Together Challenge’ 😀

get your shit together image.jpg

I first heard of it on Rosanna Leo‘s blog post, followed the link to the original creator of the challenge, Herding Cats & Burning Soup blog. An interesting post and it came at the right time.

I was chatting with my BFF last week when I said that things come to me when I need them, I just have to believe. I need little reminders when I am ready to throw in the towel.

So yes, I AM JOINING in because I need to do something about the colossal to-do-list. I always kick myself when a deadline is looming and I procrastinated each day with tomorrow is another day, although I’ve been dealing with some medical issues and pain is not conducive to do anything. Breaking it down will help me overcome the panic that creeps up on me when I think about it. Lots of the tasks are about getting rid of stuff that brings sad or painful memories. So I am looking forward to getting rid of mental and physical junk, also getting my health back.

Check out the post, there is a printable list that you can use to get ideas and things checked off.

Today I will sit down and make a plan for the next 6 days, each day tackling one small task. So I challenge you to pick one thing to change this week, what will it be?

I will be posting in a week and give you my results. Hope you will drop by and tell me what YOU did.

Until next time… read a book, listen to a book and don’t forget to show your love by leaving a review!
