What makes you laugh out loud? A quick wit. Seeing the funny in everyday life.
What is your favourite dessert? Ice cream. I mean…come on! There are so many choices out there.
What is your favourite drink? Coffee
What is your greatest fear? I’ve had to face what used to be my biggest fear – losing my family. So now there really isn’t much that frightens me.
What is your favourite colour? Ocean blue.
What do you wear when you go to sleep? A big t-shirt.
What is the perfect romantic date? A picnic in the park while the philharmonic plays.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish? Very and I’ll never tell!
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of? Citrus and cedar. It reminds me of sunshine and earth.
When you look at a man what catches your interest? Their eyes. You can see SO much in a person’s eyes.
Do you have somebody in your life now? Well, since I am living in the middle of nowhere, and the only other human being is my utterly exasperating hermit of a “sort of” neighbor. I’d have to say no. No I do not.
What is one word best describes him? Sullen
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series? It’s not. It’s a stand-alone story of redemption.

My review for The Piper by Lily Baldwin
A short but potent story that had me in tears at times, sometimes in sadness as my heart was breaking for both Cait and Ewan and their struggle, but also in joy on how they overcame their injuries and found their HEA with each other. One of my fave quotes from this story: “I don’t even feel dented anymore. I feel full and sumptuous and perfect.” and alludes to a saying that the cook told Cait. Well woven tale that will stay with me for a while. – 5 stars
I hope you will give these stories a go and maybe discover a new author or two. I know I will.

You would not believe what happened to me last night! Read on and find out.

With my son at a sleepover, I was finding myself at a loss for something to do. With the thought of doing as little as possible, I shut down the computer, stretched out on the couch and thumbed through a list of movies I didn’t feel like watching. This wasn’t getting me anywhere. Perhaps I should read or listen to a book, but even that didn’t appeal to me. So, what was I going to do?
A light knock on the door settled my problem. Entertainment had arrived!!! Hopefully. I went to the door and open it and would have squealed in shocked delight, if a hand hadn’t shot out to cover my mouth to stop me. MARIOUS!!! The moment Marious removed his hand, he lifted a finger to his lips to signal for silence.
Marious grinned as he whispered.I have a surprise for you.
I was so excited I could have bounced.What did you bring me?
Marious chuckled as he instructed.Close your eyes and back into the apartment. I will show you in a moment.
Dare I hope? I could feel my inner-self wiggle in excitement.
I take a step back and hear the sounds of people entering the entrance area, before the door closes and the lock gives a click.
You can open your eyes now.Marious allows.
I can hear the smile in his voice and know this is going to be good. I open my eyes and notice a man that bears a strong resemblance to Marious in front of me. I look at the two of them and smile. There is a strong connection to Gabriel between them too. With a light teasing manner I comment.So it is true that the Eagle Claw lineage breeds true.
Marious and the Elf I believe to be his father laugh, then Marious answers. You know it. This is my father, Lorenth.
I quickly offer my hand in greeting, and Lorenth bows over it, before tucking it into the crook of his arm and escorting me into my living room.
I understand you are interested in hearing certain things about my illustrious brother that only we would know.Lorenth chuckled.
I am immediately interested.My readers would certainly be interested in knowing more about him.
Lorenth laughed and a dangerously amused glint appeared in his eyes. You know my stick in the mud brother used to have little or no sense of humor at all? Nor did he give me any credit for adding on to his extensive education about the members of the female sex. I had him tutored by the best.
I raised an eyebrow at Lorenth and asked.Dark Elven Squad members are the best?
Lorenth smirked as he answered,For what Gabriel needed to know, there are none better. He learned to appreciate his gifts after a few ambushes. Of course he would never admit that in public.
I smiled as I ask, You sure about your facts?
Lorenth grinned and asked,Which of many are you asking about, the Dark Elven Elite Squad? I checked them out personally during my formative years. I man needs to know how to treat a woman in bed. I am sure Eden appreciated his technique.
I doubted it, but hey, what do I know. Then again, considering how these Elven men are built, how could Eden not?
Lorenth smiles as he watches me for a few moments, then offers. If you are interested, I can send one of the Dark Elven men to teach you a few lessons for when you meet your own Life Mate. It makes life very, very interesting.
Marious clears his throat and taps his father on the shoulder.I think you are getting carried away, Dad.
Lorenth shrugs and brushes the matter off. Depends how agreeable Enikő is. Then he turns to me, What do you think? Would you like to get lessons from a Dark Elven male? I can promise you that you would be still smiling in the morning, much as the girls used to put a smile on Gabriel’s face. He was such a sourpuss.
I laugh and reply. As tempting as that sounds, I think I better forego the pleasure. But what is this about a Life Mate of my own?
Marious sighs and mumbles, Sagan is going to kill you.
Sagan? I can’t help but wonder what the alien god has to do with this. I open my mouth to ask and I hear pounding on the door, followed by a voice much like Lorenth. Lorenth, are you in there spreading lies to our friend?
Marious grins maliciously as he opens his mouth to answer. Lorenth gives him a warning look and his smile turns smug as he mouths a reply.You are so busted, Dad.
Lorenth shoots Marious a look of knowing and replies. You ratted me out, you miserable fink. You are such a dead Elf.
Marious chuckles as he replies. Bite me.He then called out. In here Uncle Gabriel, I tried to stop him, but you know Dad.
The door flies open and Gabriel walks through. There is s menacing look on his face. The last time you did anything like this I spent three days dangling from a tree. I am not going to let you get away with it again.
Marious murmured from the side of his mouth at his father. Busted, big time.
Lorenth doesn’t look like he cares much as he smiles at Gabriel and spreads out his hands. We have barely had time to say hello.
You told her about the Elite guards, didn’t you?Gabriel growled.
Me?Lorenth asked innocently.
A moment later, Gabriel slung Lorenth over his shoulder and walked out of the room with him. Marious snickered as he watched the two brothers walk out of the apartment. I look at Marious and ask. What is going to happen?
Marious laughed and answered. The last time Dad pulled something like this, Gabriel told him that he was going to tie him to the underside of the back end of a horse.
I nearly choke at the image that brings up, then look up at Marious with an incredulous expression. Gabriel isn’t serious.
Marious laughs as he walked out of the apartment, and before he closed the door, he promised. I will send pictures, although don’t expect them to last long before they disappear. If Gabriel finds out about those, Dad will have company.

As you probably know by now, the Elves are unpredictable and I never know when and how they will come by. I love every minute of their shenanigans.

I really loved the book and finding out more about Gabriel, it really gives a better understanding of him. I cried reading how he cared about his men after the battle, when he stopped and talked to the dying Elf. Loved seeing Marious again, he was my first love in the Chronicles. Spending time in the Elven Empire is like going home.

Another bright star has passed away and my heart is breaking. My condolences to her family… and to her daughter: Words are not enough and will not lessen the pain you feel right now, but celebrate her life and remember the good times.
My friend Julie, who I have known for many years on-line. A great friend and bright soul, her wicked sense of humour and dead-pan comments made me laugh out loud many times. I love her name, if I had a daughter, her name would’ve been Julie.
She shared my passion for books and she sure loved her SEALs, cowboys and the rogues too. Julie was a big supporter of my blog from the beginning, she shared and commented on all of them.
Another opportunity to meet in person lost. We talked and planned to meet up with her when going over the pond to visit my niece, but that didn’t happen either.
I will miss you Julie! Many friends will miss you, will remember and laugh thinking of big buckles…

Nate Ross was everything my over protective Irish brother warned me about. He was older, impulsive and a player.
He was always on the road with the band and would eventually leave me broken-hearted. In my brothers own words, Nate wasn’t good enough for me. Now I have to lie to my family about falling in love with him.

What is your full name? Chase Nelson Kayla Quincy Oh I love that name… KAYLA
Do you have a nickname? Chase blushes and looks down at his hands a small smile on his lipsKayla calls me Fluffy stupid i know but I like it. It’s how I knew she accepted all of me. I don’t have… I take that back… firecracker! Chase calls me that when I get all fired up over something.
What is one word best describes you? Just one word? I would have to say Primal. I feel the call of the wild all the time since I became an anchor. I would say determined. I never back down. When I decide to go for something, I go all the way and put everything into it.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers. I like comfortable. I’m in my favorite faded jeans a black and blue plaid flannel button up long sleeve shirt and hiking boots. I am wearing a black free flowing skirt that comes down to my ankles it has a bright blue butterfly on the left side on the bottom, a white silk button up shirt and Black sandals.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately? She did an ok job. I think I would have been a little smoother around Kayla. Kayla seems to think Megan got me just right. I think Meg did alright. I think she should have given me a bigger salary.
What makes you laugh out loud? I have to work really hard at not laughing when Kayla tries to help around the cabin. She is a city girl through and through. So, country living, and chores are a bit awkward for her sometimes. I love watching Chase and Teddy when they are in wolf form. They act like pups. It is the cutest thing.
What is your favourite dessert? Key lime pie is my weakness. Sweet and tart and so easy to make. Oh god… best desert? Chase is such a good cook. I guess I would have to say egg custard pie. I know it sounds weird since I am from the city but the first time, I ate it… it just melts in your mouth.
What is your favourite drink? Coffee! I need my coffee otherwise my inner wolf looks like a sweet puppy compared to my human side without coffee. Sangria. It’s light and fruity.

What is your greatest fear? I worry all the time that I will give in to my primal instincts. It’s alien to me this power became a part of me when Sam grounded me to the earth, and I became immortal. I have no idea what I will become if I give in to the power inside. I am terrified of being trapped or buried alive. Just the thought of it sends my blood pressure soaring.
What is your favourite colour? My favorite color is blue. The sky, the lake, the color of Kayla’s eyes… Yeah blue is definitely my favorite color. I love white. The snow in winter and the color of Chase’s fur. Its just so pure and calming.
What do you wear when you go to sleep? Nothing usually but if we have guests over, I will sleep in a pair of grey sweats. I usually wear an oversized shirt or a set of Pajamas if it’s cold.
What is the perfect romantic date? I haven’t been on a real date in seventy years. I have been stuck in the forest. So, I’m a bit rusty. I guess a homecooked meal, a long hike to see all the scenic spots and dancing under the stars. I think a perfect date would be going out and having a nice candlelight dinner, going out dancing, then maybe a walk in the park after dark talking hand in hand.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish? I am not ticklish. Why? What did Kayla tell you? I didn’t say anythingshe laughsYes, I am ticklish everywhere.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of? Cinnamon. It’s spicy and smells like home. I think my favorite smell is the bathroom right after Chase finishes a hot shower. His soap and cologne are heavy in the air. It reminds me of the woods at the cabin after a heavy rain and the night life of the big city. It’s really hard to explain.
I look at Kayla and ask – When you look at a man what catches your interest? His shoulders I love broad shoulders, then his eyes you can really tell a lot about what a man is like by looking in his eyes.
I look at Chase and ask When you look at a woman what catches your interest? What do I notice first…? Her scent would be the first thing I would notice then her eyes you can tell a lot about a person by looking into their eyes. A woman’s voice she has to have a sexy voice. Then I would look the rest of her over.
Do you have somebody in your life now? Yeah, Kayla she is amazing beautiful and smart. She’s a short firecracker. Not to mention the most determined reporter I have ever met. I do now, Chase is the first guy I have had a real relationship with. I’ve dated and had fun but my career has always come first. With Chase I don’t have to choose he supports my being a reporter and wants to see me succeed.
What is one word best describes him?I ask Kayla The one word that come to mind is natural. He just seems to fit no matter where or who he is with it all seems to come so natural to him.
What is one word best describes her?I ask Chase Bulldozer. When she gets ahold of a story or she thinks one of her friends are in trouble she will push through anything to get to what she wants or needs to get things done.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series? Yes, our story is the first in The Hunter’s Series.Kayla answers. then Chase continues Hunters are trying to destroy the paranormal world of shifters, witches, and other mystical creatures. We have to take down the organization and save everyone we can.

Will she stay when she finds out that supernatural creatures exist, and she is falling for the Solstice Wolf? Or will this beauty run from her beast?
