Hello and welcome!
It’s been a while since I posted… you know… LIFE !!!
Today I would like to give you my thoughts on the latest adventure in the book world. I attended Romancing the Falls 2019 on May 18, I mentioned in my last post.
Freya Barker! Congrats on another awesome event and kudos to your team, the volunteers were exceptional.
Look at this beautiful stand-up banner that greeted the readers this year! I am jealous of my friend who won it, but I am happy for her too. I wouldn’t have the space to display it in my little place LOL

Got to ‘boss around’ M. A. Abraham again 😛 (sorry … inside joke), help with the table and got to sneak away to get my pre-orders and get a few more of course 😉
These are the books I got… I did pretty good, right? Just a tad over my budget.

Also got a few prezzies too.
Finally got a ‘squishy willie’ I had my heart set on for a few events now but never managed to snag one, thank you Tricia MUAH

I adore Renea Mason and love her books, got a few BBF in her various series. I listened (a few times) to the audiobooks, narrated by the scrumptious voices of Erin Deward and Noah Michael Levine and cannot recommend them enough, if you like ménage that is.

Received these colouring books from Christine at Sweet & Spicy Reads for blog giveaways Thank you Christine ❤ Check out their website, you might find some new books to love.

Awesome swag too, these are a few that stand out to me

Got to hug again authors I met at previous events, shared some laughs and of course the signature jello dicks were present too, along with some jello hearts, thank you Kerri ❤
… there were also a few authors I read, but met for the first time and a few new-to-me authors.
J.S. Scott was one of the ones I met for the first time, she donated a book for the giveaway on this post. I discovered her books not long ago and from what I read so far, I will continue for sure. Melanie Moreland donated an audiobook for a giveaway in the Aural Fixation group I am part of on Facebook. A great group for audiobook lovers, just reached 7,000 members WOOT !!! Janine Infante Bosco was so much fun and so was the duo who makes up Kindle Alexander. The upbeat energy that another duo, Morgan and Jennifer Locklear, gave off was contagious. Jen Luerssen is a new author for me, the book covers got my attention, so I bought some. Shiloh Walker is another new to me author, some titles caught my attention that will have to check out.
I wish I had time to meet them all, but missed a few because there was a lineup every time I got a change to get away from the table or the ‘shiny’ kept me busy LOL
For the first time since I’ve been going to these events, I got snubbed / ignored by a couple of authors when I approached them. It wasn’t a pleasant feeling, and believe me, I do not expect royal treatment, I am a nobody, but a hello or a ‘goawaybecausemyphoneismoreimportantnow’ would have been enough. I will not mention names, but they lost a reader/reviewer. Not a big deal in the big scheme of things, but I could have used that time to go see the others tables I missed visiting. Moving on…
Overall it was a great event, seeing my book ‘tribe’, the people I interact on FB often or see at events and consider friends, left me ‘high’ again. Such a positive feeling! THANK YOU for the hugs, laughs and your friendship. And the prezzies too XOXO
The silent auction was a resounding success, with the generous donations from authors and bloggers and proceeds going to Niagara Falls Public Library Children’s Literacy program. I think it was over $2,500 that was collected. My contribution was this basket, it didn’t go for the cost of it all, but was a good sum nonetheless. Every penny counts, right? I bid on a few baskets myself but didn’t win any.

Now to the best part… because you are all amazing and I love sharing my loot with you.
