Hello and welcome!
As you know I am an Elfanatic and I was the happiest when I found out that the Elven Chronicles by M. A. Abraham does not stop with the last book, Kings of the Empire, number 12 in the series released in February of 2017!
There is one spinoff that started in December with the release of Rising From the Ashes, book 1 of the One Empire series, continuing from where the Elven Chronicles left off. I hope you gave it a try, if not, check out my post with my review, I know I will change your mind 😉
The second spinoff is the Guardians of the Empire series, and the first book, The Goddess, released on February 4, 2018.
My guest today is the heroine is THE Goddess 😀 SURPRISE!!!
Please welcome Chania!
I do a double take as one of the most gorgeous Elven females I have ever seen walk through the doorway and begins to pace in my interview room. She doesn’t look happy about something.
Chania?
Right now I am not so sure if I want to be Chania, but yes.
Is something wrong?
Nothing a good smack to the side of a lunk head won’t fix. Chania adds, even as she heaves a deep sign and carries on. Oh, I know I wouldn’t come here to vent, but sometimes I find men can be so close to being brain dead I can barely tell the difference.
Boy, do I know where you are coming from. I remark, even as I feel somewhat shocked by Chania’s words. Had she not bonded with Daeron yet? I thought that was a border that had already been crossed.
You would have thought that smack I gave him across his head with my Dragon’s tail would have kick started his brains, but maybe that is impossible. Chania continues to rant.
Alright, I remember that. I don’t say it, but I think, most men have hard heads.
You know what is even more frustrating? My Dragon has the hots for his, the hussy Chania snorts, belying the impression I always had that gorgeous women don’t act like this or have trouble with men. I mean, lets be truthful here. The woman is drop dead gorgeous and probably deserves a man that isn’t up for twit of the year.
I thought all Life Mates loved their mates, doesn’t Daeron feel the same for you as you do for him?
Chania plops herself on to the couch as she heaves a sigh He is going to drive me crazy. First he treats me like I don’t exist. Then, when he notices me, he is like a heat seeking missile and yes, he is enough to make a girl want to permanently lose her underwear, but you have never seen anyone so clued out. Most men are like that, aren’t they?
Yes, they are. Don’t get me started!
My sister isn’t helping matters at all either. Of course, she has her own problems coming up, but that isn’t for a while yet. She told me to suck it up because it is already too late for me to change things. Worse thing is, she is right. How do you train a man to behave when all you really want is for him to jump your bones? Damn, but that man is hot, despite his hollow head. Chania huffs
So, what are you planning?
Payback. He thinks he is so great. I have news for him. I will see him grovel before I take him back. Chania decides
You think he will? I wonder.
Chania gives me a smug smile as she replies He will if he knows what is good for him and something tells me he definitely does.
So, what are your short term plans?
Chania grins as she softly purrs, It is time to start teaching that Dragon how to treat a lady and I don’t mean my Dragon, she would only jump on him, the tart.
Oooo, that sounds devious. Are you going to give us an insight about how you intend to do this?
With a devilish chuckle Chania replies, Well, there are a few ideas floating around in my head. The first one runs along the line of killing him with kindness.
And the other? I ask. Yes, I am as curious about this as a cat.
Well… I believe a Dragon can be starved for affection, especially if he sees something he wants badly enough. Chania grins evilly.
You think it will work?
If not, I will hit him on the side of the head with my tail again. Chania declares.
I thought you said your Dragon was a hussy and would jump his Dragon’s bones. I am trying to figure this out.
Yes, but I think I can handle her, probably better than him. Chania worries.
Why do you say that?
Chania sighs as she admits, Because brain dead or not, he is hotter than his Dragon.
Yeah, I can see where that could be a problem. I agree.
What is a girl to do?
Well…. good luck and many blessings! I wish her as she leaves, but she doesn’t answers. I hope they work it out, if Daeron doesn’t behave I could help with the smacks upside the head 😉

Thanks for joining us and I hope you enjoyed the chat. As usual as with all M.A.’s characters, the chat didn’t go as planned, but I did enjoy it immensely because it is a surprise every time LOL
As I mentioned at the beginning, Chania hails from The Goddess, book 1 in the Guardians of the Empire series by M. A. Abraham. If you read the Elven Chronicles, I am sure you already know that this is going to be an awesome series. If not, I urge you to try it, you will become an Elfanatic in no time 😀 I had Daeron, her mate, pop in for a surprise visit, check it out here if you missed it. It was quite entertaining 😉
Chania has lived most of her life in seclusion. She was placed amongst the humans that had once come to the aid of her ancestors, many millenniums before. She kept secreted by the head priestess, and revered as a Goddess by the people. She knows she is not what they think she is. She is an Elven Princess in hiding, and content to stay that way.
Daeron is an Elven/Dragon shapeshifter, who has served as second in command of the Guardians of the Elven Empire for a long time. He comes from a long line of Kings, and has proven himself worthy of his position of life. He is a proud, noble, Golden Dragon, when he is not an Elf. He is not so pleased with the sudden match making ambitions of his leader though, especially when he has been singled out to be mated with one of the leader’s daughters. He is not about to give in without a fight. He will not be used in this manner, not by anyone.
Captured by her father’s guardians and forced to his side, Chania, learns her fate. She is no happier about their upcoming nuptials than Daeron. They recognize the Life Bond they share, but under the circumstances, refuse to allow it to dictate their future. Can they fight an attraction that no Elf has ever been able to deny?

Here is Daeron, Chania’s Life Mate. He is on the inside cover of the ebook.
My 5-star review
Elves AND dragons? COUNT ME IN! A 5-star start to this new series that takes us into the Elven Empire in the far future. Ms. Abraham’s fans of the Elven Empire Chronicles will really enjoy this new era. Despite being a grouch, I liked Daeron, well… most of the time, he behaved really bad for a few but he got knocked-off a few pegs by his Life Mate, Chania, a feisty one that put him thru his paces and made him work for everything. Great secondary characters, I am looking forward to their stories too.
To give you a taste of what is coming, here is the cover for The Princes, book 2 in the Guardians of the Empire series, it is Chania’s sister, Serena and her Life Mate, Theiron, who is Daeron’s brother.
