My Chat with Hank, the Hunk ;)
Hello and welcome!
I was really tempted to hold back this chat and keep Hank all to myself, but then I thought NAH I always share my book boyfriends with my gals š
Hank is quite a new addition to my list and he is so yummy, he is a cowboy, should I say more? I didn’t think so š
Without further ado, I give you Hank!
What is your full name?
Hank Jensen. I donāt have a middle name because Ms. Carlan didnāt give me one.
Do you have a nickname?
My sweet Angel calls me āStudā. I like that one. He winks Iāve been known to go by a few names but none of those are appropriate for this here interview.
What is one word best describes you?
Loyal
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Darlinā should I sayĀ Iām in my birthday suit? He whispers and my imagination is running off with me Nah! After this Iāll be headinā to the job site. Wearing my favorite pair of Levis, with a Jensen Construction monogrammed t-shirt. Aspen says the color brings out the gold flecks in my eyes. blows a kiss to Aspen Sheās somethinā else. Anyway, havenāt got my work boots on yet so Iām bare foot. Thatās about it.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Iām here arenāt I? Wouldnāt be answering your questions if she didnāt.
What makes you laugh out loud?
When Oliver and my Angel fight about shoes, or clothes, really anything for that matter. Those two are worse than brother and sister. As long as he remembers to be respectful to my girl I let them go about their tantrums.
Oliver pipes in Tantrumās? I know he didnāt just say tantrums. You want to see a tantrum cowboy? Iāll show you one. Howās about the crap youāre pulling with hiding all Penās skirts. You know the ones Iām talking about. The Prada pencil skirts with the slit up the thigh?
You mean those handkerchiefs you call a skirt? No woman of mine is going to wear a napkin buddy. End of.
Every woman in the world wears Prada, Hank! Itās designer. Itās meant to show that much leg.
Not my womanās legs. Those stems are meant to be wrapped around my waist.
I see Oliver is getting exasperatedĀ Unbelievable! Pen! Iām going to have to replace all of your skirts.
I quickly ask my next question, these too can go on and on if I let them.
What is your favourite dessert?
You mean āsides my sweet Angel?
Stud, you talk about our sex life and Iām going to withhold for a week! Maybe two!
HeĀ rolls his eyes Sheād never make it. Iād give it two daysā¦tops!
What is your favourite drink?
Nothinā better than a cold beer on a hot day.
What is your greatest fear?
Losing Aspen. Sheās my everything. Without her, well, that would be that. Iād be done for.
What is your favourite colour?
Donāt know that I ever really thought about it. I sure like my girl in white. So if I had to pick one Iād reckon that would be it.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
I donāt like nothinā between me and my woman. I wear what the good Lord gave.
What is the perfect romantic date?
I think you ought to ask Aspen but I like the simple things life offers. A nice sunset, a good meal, and my girl is all I need to be happy.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Real men arenāt ticklish.Ā Hank covers his arms over his chest protectively
Heās full of it! Aspen laughsĀ Thereās this spot just on the back of his neck. I take great pleasure in torturing that spot as often as possible.
Now Darlinā donāt be tellinā all my secrets. A manās got to have a few under his hat.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
I love the smell of vanilla and honeysuckle. My Angel smells like a dream. I could eat her up. Hank grins And her hair, thereās nothinā like it. Nothinā.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I could lie and say a good pair of tits and ass wasnāt the first thing I thought of but Iād by lyinā and I donāt make a habit of doinā so. With my girl though, I think it was her confidence that stole my breath initially. There arenāt too many women like her runninā around this God forsaken city.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
I believe you know Ms. Aspen Bright-Reynolds. Soon to be Mrs. Jensen with none of those other names weighing her down.
What is one word best describes her?
Mine.
I laugh out loud. I gathered that much, you are an adorable caveman.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
My book is the first in the series. Thereās more to come in London Falling which is about Aspenās sister. Then thereās Justice Falling which is about her lawyer and my receptionist which he takes as his own filly. Weāre all connected. Good friends if not family. I will say that Aspen and me make several appearance in both books and you get to see through to the end of our happily ever after. So pick up our tale and enjoy the ride. I sure as hell did.
I sure did too Hank! The series is an amazing journey!Ā Thank you for agreeing to spend some time with me.
Thank you Aspen for being here too… and Ollie, you are just adorable, one of a kind, beautiful person.
Can I keep him, Aspen? I hope Ms. Audrey will let you come by sometime in the future and have a chat with me.
Aspen looks horrified, Hank grins and Ollie shakes his headĀ at me, but smiles and I can’t keep myself from laughing out loud.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you enjoyed the chat as much as I did.
Hank hails from “Angel Falling”, book 1 in TheĀ Falling Series by Audrey Carlan. A beautiful, sexy series that I read in a matter of days, it was that good, 5 stars from me the whole way.
The series was recommended to me by a good friend of mine, Karen and I have to thank her for it.
It’s been a while since I’ve been so excited about a series, it is just something about Ms. Carlan writing that draws you in and doesn’t let you put down the book. The characters are so well matched and the secondary ones are well complementing. I love Ollie, best friend and fierce protector to Aspen, Hank’s love. We get to see him in all 3 books, but I hope we get to read his own HEA story, same with Tripp who you get to meet more in-depth in the 3rd book. Click here to read an interview with Oliver (Ollie) over at Tome Tender, I loved it.
Now onto the QUESTION of the day!Ā Silk or leather?
I loooove leather, especially if a nice tush is encased in it š
One lucky commenter will win an ebook copy of “Angel Falling” by Audrey Carlan. The comments will stay open until 1pm, Tuesday, September 30th, 2014. Good luck!
My chat with Alan and Duncan !
Hello and welcome!
Today I have twoĀ special guests all the way from Lusty, Texas. A small town I came to love so much with all the wonderful people living there.
And here they are! Oh my ! I will have to have a chat with Ms. Covington, she could have warned me… a feast for my eyes… oh my!
They walk in… no … they swagger in with that delicious cowboy walk… you know what I am talking about. They take their hats off and bow their heads slightly in greeting.
Welcome! Welcome! Have a seat! Let’s get started, I know you have more workĀ ahead of you.
What is your full name?
Iām AlanāAlan Wilson. This dark haired fellow is my best friend, Duncan Moore. Oh, you wanted our full names. My middle name is Brylandāitās a family name, on my motherās side.
My middle name is Thomas. Duncan Thomas Moore. That was my grandfatherās nameāboth of my grandfathersā, in fact.
Do you have a nickname?
Like a pet name? Not me,Ā Alan says.Ā Though I got called a thing or two over the years, especially when we worked as stock handlers for the southwest rodeo circuit. What about you, bud?
No, me neither. Iām not counting it a bad thing. Wellāguys call you by your last name, and I suppose that technically that could be considered a nickname.
What is one word best describes you?
Honest, Alan says. Donāt you mean clumsy?Ā Duncan asks. Nope. If you were to describe me in one word it would likely be clumsy. But the lady didnāt ask you to describe me.Ā Alan frowns.Ā Besides, I donāt think it can be called clumsy. Getting shot.
Any of the other guys you were with, riding in that pasture that afternoon, get shot?
Alan laughs.Ā Maybe not right then, but the Alvarez brothers managed both before, if youāll recall.
Right. Ok, Iāll give you that one.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers. My eyes are drinking them in.
Both men immediately looked sheepish. Weāre just wranglers, Maāam,Ā Duncan says and I want to melt hearing him say Ma’am in that deep voice.Ā Even all duded up, you can tell weāre wranglers. And, um, yeah, thatās actually what Iām wearing. These wranglers are well broken in, had āem a few years. I got my blue shirt on, and I did put my nicer boots on, instead of the shit kickers I sometimes wear.
Alan laughs. Weāre both embarrassed because Holly made a big deal about our āWrangler buttsā. And, well, as you can see, my shirt is just a plain white tee. And my boots, too.
We just wore our straw hats today because, unless weāre going out, thatās just what we wearāand we do have to get back to work after this. Going out fancy? We each have a felt Stetson. Or if itās casual, we might grab a ball cap.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Itās eerie, the way Miz Covington can see right into our heads, isnāt it, brother?
No kidding. Itās as if she knows what weāre going to say, even before we say it.Ā Duncan nods.Ā Of course, thatās a good thing, because she was able to find our Holly for us. Donāt know if weād ever found her on our own.
What makes you laugh out loud?
Alan and Duncan look at each other, and I can see that they want to say something, but hold back. Then Alan shrugs. I like a good joke. Sometimes, just hanging around the cousins is good for a chuckle, because they all waste no opportunity to tease and poke at each other.
What is your favourite dessert?
Anything Miss Carrieāsheās our bosses wifeāmakes for us. Alan says.
She has a way with pecan pie.Ā Duncan grins.Ā I keep trying to sweet talk that second piece before her husband Brian gets itābut just to get his goat.
You also have to love the pastries that Tracey makes, over there at Lusty Appetites.
What is your favourite drink?
You mean beer? Havenāt been in Texas long, but Iām really liking Shiner Bock. Never had much of a taste for whiskey. Alan sighs.Ā Most days, just one cold beer after a hard dayās workāthe taste of it sliding down my throat just puts the stamp on the day.
What is your greatest fear?
Not being the kind of husband that Holly needs,Ā Alan answers as if he didnāt have to even think about it. Duncan nods.Ā That, and not being a good father, when the time comes.
What is your colour?
Anything Holly has on.Ā Both men say that at the same time, then they chuckle.Ā Something weāve figured out, maāam, about being two men who plan to share one wife. In some things, we are exactly the same,Ā Alan says. And in other things, we are very different. That is how together, we can meet all of our womanās needs.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
They are so cute, look at them, they are blushing. They trade looks, and then finally Alan says, Umā¦nothing, unless itās Holly.
Yup,Ā Duncan looks down at his hands.
What is the perfect romantic date?
Weāre still learning what all Holly likes, Alan says. But for me, itās anything at all we do as long as itās with Holly.
I feel the same way. Though I really like to set the mood, with candles and music, if you know what I mean.Ā Duncan sits forward.Ā I think the key is paying attention. We pay attention to Holly, to the way she reacts to things, to the little clues she gives about what she likes, or her mood. If a man is tuned into his woman, if he makes her the centerāwell I donāt think you can get much more romantic than that.Ā I am tempted to ask him if he has a brother…. sigh
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Iām not ticklish at all,Ā Duncan says. Then he jerked his thumb toward his best friend.Ā But this guy? Heās got a tickle spot in the middle of his back. I didnāt even know about it until one of the rodeos we were workingāactually it was the first time we met JuliĆ”n Alvarez. JuliĆ”n was riding a bull, a mean sonofaā¦um, critter. Made it to eight seconds, got off, and then that critter made a run at him. Alan was on the gate, and hauled JuliĆ”n upāimpressed the hell out of all of us. Alvarez slaps him on the back, and Alan giggled.
If weāre going to be completely honest,Ā Alan says,Ā then I have to tell you that my feet are ticklish, too.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Vanilla,Ā Duncan says.Ā It reminds me of my grandma. She made the best cookiesā¦thatās likely where I got my sweets addiction from.
Mine is the way a spring morning smells after a rain, all fresh and new and full of life.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
For me it was always the eyes,Ā Alan answers.
Her smile.Ā Duncan turns serious.Ā You can tell so much from a womanās smile. Holly has a real open one, full of humor and the joy of being alive.
What is one word best describes her?
Again, both men answer.Ā Perfect.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Our story is the 22nd book in her Lusty, Texas series. And when she told us that, we both asked her whether or not there was an end in sight. That is a lot of books,Ā Alan says. Now, we donāt think she would mind if we told you her answer.Ā As they had with all of the questions, the men share their response. Duncan has the last word.Ā She told us that it was an authorās sacred trust to give her readers what they wantedāand as long as folks wanted to read more of her stories, sheād keep writing them.
I hope so,Ā I want more, as I am sure theĀ many of the Lusty fans do.
Thank you both for making the time for a chat with me, I am so looking forward to meet Holly.
As they turn to leave, I make sure to check them Wrangler butts, Holly isĀ right… they are mighty fine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you enjoyed the chat as much as I did.

My chat with Aidan!
Hello and welcome!
Today I will share a chat I had with a very handsome Highlander I discovered recently, I met him in an audiobook version of this great story written by Tanya Anne Crosby, very proud and oh so handsome and his voice is to die for. The narrator is James Gillies and WOW what a voice! I hope he will narrate the next book too. Have a listen here… I love the brogue, there is something about it that makes me weak in the knees sigh
Here is what Aidan had answered to my nosy questions…
What is your full name?
My given name is Aidan ā simply Aidan. Our tribe is the last of 7 Pecht nations, but we dinna hail from any one in particular. Rather, we are the sons of Cat, Fidach, Ce, Fotla, Circinn, Fortriu and Fib.
Do you have a nickname?
They call me the dĆŗn Scoti, but while my kinfolk do hail from the hill lands, I am no Scoti, nor do I bend the knee to any Scoti king.
What is one word best describes you?
I would say protective ā there is only one thing on this earth that means aught, and tis family. I loathe to say, but I would kill for any one of my bloodā including Lael, though sheās defied me. Iāll leave that for ye to ken once yeāve read Highland Steel.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
āTis little changed from the garb of my ancestors, but because ye came to call in the wee hours, I dinna wear my tunic and quickly dressed in my breacan-feile ā my tartan wrap. I don’t mind the view, not at all š
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Ach, weel, she knows me as well as any, but we all have secrets and there may be a few things Iāve kept from the lass as yet.
What makes you laugh out loud?
My sister Cailin and my brother Keane. Those two are so full of mischief that even the brownies have aught to learn.
What is your favourite dessert?
Blancmanger, a dessert made of chicken, rice and almond milk. My sister Lael makes it well.
I tried to find a picture of it, but no success. Maybe we can convince the author to post one for us š
What is your favourite drink?
Uisge, oā course, though if ye dinna drink it carefully, yeāll find yourself face down in Caoineagās Pool.
sounds like something my hubby would enjoy
What is your greatest fear?
That somehow I willna be aboot to help the ones I love. My father was a diligent man, but for his trust in others, he found himself betrayed.
What is your favourite colour?
Violet. āTis the color of my sweet Liliās eyes.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Nought at all.
What is the perfect romantic date?
Date? I dinna ken this word. Can ye explain?
A romantic date is an outing where you take a lass to woo her.
There is a place behind the falls at Caoineagās Pool where none can spy ye. Tis a bonny place to steal a kiss from a lass with a mind to give one.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Aye ā¦ though I dinna care to say. My wife alone bears this knowledge.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
The scent of grass in spring. āTis a harsh clime weāve chosen to bear, and when the snows finally melt the scent of green fills the air. No sweeter fragrance can be found.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
It depends on the lass, but I love a woman who knows and speaks her mind. Whatever her physical allure may be, tis all the more lovely once I know sheās no wilting violet. My kind of man… most men find it intimidating.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
Aye, my bonny wife, Lili, the mother of my bairn.
What is one word best describes her?
Passionate. She gives her heart completely to all she does.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Aye, Highland Fire is but the first of many more, or so the author says. But we shall see. There are three I know of as we speak.
Looking forward to read more for sure. Thank you Aidan!
He winks at me, then leaves and I can’t help looking my fill at that hard body made for fighting … and loving š
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you like the chat.
