“Elven Chronicles” Celebration – part 4

Hello and welcome!

Today is the fourth of the 6 posts leading to the release of the last book in the Elven Chronicles, Kings of the Empire by M. A. Abraham on February 16, 2017. See my post with the preorder links.

It has been a few years since the series started and I along with the many fans of the Elven world have been emotionally connected to one character or another, cheered with each triumph and wept at each loss they suffered in the battle with the demon horde.

One thing that stayed constant is their absolute love for their Life Mates and I am sharing the bonding scenes in each book which are my fave in all the books.

Book 7 is…

LUTHIEN’S SONG

There are two couples bonding in this book… an emotionally powerful story

KING INGWËR of the Grey Elven Kingdom mated to NÁTULCIEN, a Daughter of the Sun…

    “… as our family is with us, I suggest we complete our bond now.” Nátulcien decided.
    Ingwër’s smile widened as he took her hands in his and spoke. “My love, my soul has waited for you to be completed, I seek to speak the formal words of bonding with you. Is this also your desire?”
    “It is.” Nátulcien confirmed.
    “Nátulcien, you are my heart’s desire, the reason for my life and the light of my soul. I am yours.” Ingwër answered.
    “Ingwër, for you, I hold the light. May it burn forever bright in its guidance of yours, for you are he for whom I was created. Ingwër, I am yours.” Nátulcien promised.
    “I bring you honor, as I give the same to you and your faith in my love. Your presence is a gift the creator has granted to me and mine. I will guard your light and our love will make your essence stronger through this joining. Nátulcien, you are mine.”
    “Share my eternity as I will yours. Ingwër, you are mine.” Nátulcien spoke firmly.
    As they spoke, they grew closer, never once losing eye contact or releasing their handhold. As one, they spoke the final words. “Together, we are one.”
    Ainariël and Ailumn leaned back against their Life Mates and smiled as they watched the union between Ingwër and Nátulcien. They were happy for them. As far as they were concerned, there was nothing more important in an Elf’s life than the moment they were bonded with their Soul Mate. It was a defining moment and one that completed them through eternity. This was their belief, the foundation of their lives. They had found their Life Mates early in life, their father had needed to wait for his for some reason only known to the creator. They watched as the newly joined couple exchanged a passionate kiss and when the two drew apart Haldemir teased.
    “I bet the first child will be a boy.”
    Vandamir, to be obstinate, disagreed. “A girl.”
    Nátulcien blushed as she smiled and answered. “I am a Daughter of the Sun, just like Lúthien. We can only produce female offspring.”

GOLRADIR, former King of the Free Lands mated to LÚTHIEN, a Daughter of the Sun…

    As Lúthien stood before Golradir, he reached for her and quit singing so he could speak. The children continued to chant as they formed a ring around them. They smiled happily as they held hands and skipped around and danced in the morning light.
    “Come dance with me in sunshine my love. Share with me this moment and I will bring light and happiness to your soul.” Golradir repeated the words she had spoken to him the first time they had danced in the meadow.
    As Lúthien drew closer to Golradir, he took her into his arms and danced as they had many times before and she smiled into his eyes as he raised his voice to rejoin the song the children were still singing. She didn’t hear the voices of the adult Elves as the parents of the children added their voices to their offspring, and neither heard when more voices joined them, until the entire forest rang with the sound of the ancient Elven love song.
    Round and round Golradir whirled Lúthien as they laughed into each other’s eyes and he held her closer until she was pressed tight against him and his arms encircled her waist possessively. As she stretched up to kiss his lips lightly she replied.
    “I would dance with you in sunlight for all eternity.”
    “Your wish is my dream come true.” Golradir admitted as he stepped back slightly to take her hands in his so he could lift her fingers to his lips to deliver a tender kiss.
    Without breaking eye contact, Golradir spoke. “Come speak with me the words of bonding and I will share my life and love with you. Lúthien, I am yours.”
    “In sunshine I will bathe your soul and together we will share our light and love. Golradir, I am yours.” Lúthien spoke in response.
    “In your light I have found reasons for living. Lúthien, you are mine.” Golradir sounded the words that signaled the next stage of the bonding ceremony and his heart skipped a beat it felt so full.
    “In your love I have found completion. Golradir, you are mine.” Lúthien answered.
    As one they spoke the final words. “Together, we are one.”
    Golradir quickly lowered his lips to Lúthien’s and kissed her until they were both laboring for air. When he broke off the kiss, he grinned when the sound of other voices filtered through the haze he felt surrounded them and he spoke.
    “Lúthien, you have made me the happiest Elf in the world.”
    “Really?” Lúthien grinned back as she teased. “I think I know of a few ways of improving on that.”
    Those who could hear them laughed, sounding as if they knew something Golradir didn’t when he looked at Lúthien in askance at her statement.
    Lúthien smiled wider as she broke the news she had hoped to tell Golradir privately, but knew everyone else had already guessed.
    “You see the extra bright glow that seems to beam from me?” Lúthien asked.
    “Yes,” Golradir answered as he wondered what this was about. She had worn that extra light for a while he had noticed.

FOR THE KING AND ELVEN EMPIRE

There are no Life Mate finding each other in this boo, but there are lots of surprises…

Elendil, Gabriel, Eden, and their children are accompanying King Elrohir and his bride to the High Elven Kingdom, by invitation of his father, King Silas. What started off as a simple trip turns into a nightmare, as the children disappear while working in the forest. Eden and Gabriel are frantic. Where are their children? At Gabriel’s command, the Kings and Queens lead their armies into the High Elven Kingdom, but it is not Gabriel who will take command; it is Lothrariel. He has regained his ancient powers and searches for answers, but a power as ancient as his has hidden the answers. Who has done this? Why?

With their parents away, the children of the Light Elven Kingdom work behind the scenes to regain the freedom of their friends. There is only one Elf who can reach the children where they are; S’Larea. When they are finished, will the High Elven Kingdom be the same?

Just when I thought the Elven Chronicles series cannot get better, M. A. Abraham surprised me yet again. Another amazing story that shows us that there is no greater power than the power of love, the love of a parent that will move heaven & earth to rescue a child in danger, the love of a Life Mate who will bring down ANY obstacle standing in the way of reaching their soul mate or the innocent, but fierce love of children that will reach past all imaginable bounds to help their loved ones. This story brought up a whole spectrum of emotions, but the happy feeling lingers long after.

Book 5 is…

RETURN OF THE LEGEND

There are two couples bonding in this book…

HALDEMIR, Price of the Free Lands and a Warrior mated to AINARIËL, Crown Princess of the Gray Elves…

  “Are you real, or a dream come to taunt my waking memories?”


    “I am your love,” Ainariël replied sounding her shock and disbelief. She was no less affected by the meeting than it appeared the Elf before her was. This meeting was exactly like her mother told her it would be like and she smiled shyly at the handsome Elf before her.


    Haldemir raised his left hand to gently connect with Ainariël’s cheek as she raised her lips to offer a kiss. He smiled as he continued to hold her gaze with his, and lowered his mouth to her slightly parted one. She placed her hands onto his chest and as their lips met she ran her palms up over his shoulders to wind her arms around his neck. Hers. He was her Life Mate.


    Haldemir could not believe his luck. He wound his arms around his Life Mate and drew her gently into his embrace. Here in his arms he held his future, the sole reason for his living. He kissed her as if she was the most precious being in the world, and in his world, she was. He had to tell her. As he raised his lips from hers he breathed out his words.


    “You are my everything.”


    Ainariël smiled as she replied. “As you are mine. My name is Ainariël.”


    “I am Haldemir.” He introduced himself.


    “Haldemir,” Ainariël breathed his name.

 “My most precious love. I am yours forever more.”


    Haldemir fought the urge to say the words of bonding that were burning through his conscious state. If was difficult to restrain the impulse when he knew she would accept and repeat them gladly. This, however, was not the right time. There were things he had to do before claiming her. He wanted to speak to her father first. He also wanted to introduce her to his father and Tári. It was important that their bonding was done properly. He wanted their parents blessings on their union. 

    Ainariël didn’t see things the same way as Haldemir did, and she was not willing to wait to claim her Life Mate.

 “Haldemir, you are mine.”
    Haldemir placed his fingers lightly against Ainariël’s lips to silence them as he explained. “This is not the right time my love. I will not deny you the full extent of the ceremony that will bind us but I would speak with your father before we exchange the words of bonding. It is important that we receive the blessings of those who brought us into this world so we can begin our life together as it was meant to be.”


    Ainariël understood. It would slow up the process slightly, but she could live with that. Her Life Mate stood before her, holding her in the circle of his embrace and for him she could do anything, would do anything.



[……]

    Ainariël blushed as she wrapped her arms around Haldemir’s chest and dug her face into the velvet hardness of his shoulder. Her warrior, and Life Mate, he was a maiden’s dream come to life, and he was hers. She looked up into his smiling face and as their shining eyes met, she spoke.

“Haldemir, I am yours.”


    Haldemir smiled wider as he answered: “Ainariël, I am yours.”


    “Haldemir, you are mine.” Ainariël claimed him.

    Haldemir responded with his own, “Ainariël, you are mine.”
    

To seal the words of bonding, they finished as one. “Together, we are one.”


    With a laugh of joy, Haldemir swooped Ainariël into his arms and swung her into a circle as he kissed her thoroughly. His. His bride and Life Mate, the fates had been kind.

VANDAMIR, Prince of the Free Lands and a Warrior mated to AILUMN, Princess of the Gray Elves…

    Haldemir had chosen to claim his bride in the newer, and more progressive fashion that most Elves were embracing. Vandamir found he could not do the same. He was not his brother. He was a scholar as well as a warrior and preferred the teachings of the ancients. He had a feeling his Life Mate felt the same way. He looked at the indecision written on her face, and decided it was time to say what he felt needed to be said. The words he carried in his heart and soul.


    “I come to you on bended knees and pray you will listen to what I say. My love has no room for pride. I reach to embrace you with all that I am. You are the light that brings life to my soul. My heart beats in the anticipation of your love. My mind needs to learn the depths of your knowledge. My eyes only seek the sight of your great beauty. Place your hands in mine and speak the words of bonding with me. Bring light to my life and soul. Bring everlasting completion to our essence.”


    Ailumn could only stare at the sight Vandamir made. She would never have thought that her Life Mate would share her romantic nature. She had gone to great lengths to hide that part of herself. Vandamir’s words could not and would not be denied. She stepped closer and slowly sunk to her knees before him as she reached out to place her hands in his.

 Her mother once had told her and her sister stories of gallant Elven Knights. She had spoke words such as Vandamir had. They were a declaration of the love, commitment and devotion of those knights to their ladies. They were words meant only for a Life Mate. Her romantic soul had absorbed the tales her mother had told like a sponge. As she had grown older, her mind had rejected the ballads. They were nothing but fairy tales meant for children. She was finding now that her heart had held onto her dreams of childhood despite her efforts to deny them. Fate had brought them to life for her in the form of an Elven Prince who had been born to someday be hers.

 Ailumn responded to Vandamir’s plea.

 “I place my hands in yours. In your tender care, I trust my body. My mind opens to the wonders you will teach me. My lips move to speak the words you seek as my soul leaps in joy, and the golden light of our bond thread shines brighter than the sun. Vandamir, you are my one true Life Mate. I am yours.”


    “Ailumn, I am yours.” Vandamir sounded amazed that she would respond as she had, or even as quickly.


    “Vandamir, you are mine forever more.”


    “Ailumn, you are mine.”
    

“Together,” their voices merged. “We are one.”


    As if to seal the vow, Vandamir cupped Ailumn’s face with his hands and kissed her with tender care. When the kiss ended, Ailumn wound her arms around him and rested a cheek against his shoulder. Before she could stop herself, she whispered a plea.

 “Never let me go. Hold me forever within the safe haven of your arms and heart.”


    “You have my vow, Ailumn. I will always be at your side. My sword is yours to command, my love will be yours forever more.” Vandamir replied.

KING’S DAUGHTER

KING LIESSEN of the Dark Elven Empire and an Elven Wizard mated to AREDHEL, Princess of the Free Lands and an Elite Squad Warrior.

Their bonding is quite steamy 😉

     Aredhel continued to gasp as she fought for air and sanity. She couldn’t let Liessen win or she would be lost forever. It was more than she could control. […] She felt his will take control and the words he demanded spill from her lips.

    “Together, we are one.”
    Again Liessen allowed instinct to take over, as he possessed his Life Mate in body and soul. […] He felt her acceptance of what they were and the connection of their souls that would bind them from this time forward. He saw the glitter of tears in her eyes, but felt no remorse for what they meant, for they both knew this would be the final result of their meeting. He hadn’t thought it would come about as it did, but he wasn’t about to bemoan the fact that it had happened. They were one.

Book 3 is…

KING’S CHAMPION

TORRENT, Warrior Champion of High Elven Kingdom, mated to SERENITY, General of the Dragon Army.

The scene is sweet and funny too, I love this couple 😀 Serenity is my fave female character in the series.

Torrent smiled as he kissed her. “You are such a contradiction, but you are mine. I will never let you go. I will love you forever. Serenity, you are mine.” He spoke the first words of bonding to her.

“Torrent, you are mine.” Serenity softly spoke her part of the vow.

“Serenity,” Torrent smiled widely. “I am yours.”

“Torrent, I am yours.” Serenity came back at him.

They finished. “Together, we are one.”

“Finally,” Torrent added as he tenderly kissed her and pressed her close. When he released her he smiled and asked. “So what are we looking at?”

Serenity knew he was only asking about their children and she reported, “Four.” She then waited a moment, before adding. “Girls.”

Torrent dropped like a rock, and as he crumbled Serenity caught him. He folded neatly over her shoulder. She gave a chuckle as she carried him to join the others. Lord but the Elf was heavy.

Book 4 is …

LIFE MATE TO A KING

KING GAROLDTH, ruler of the Free Lands, mated to TÁRI, and she becomes Queen of the Free Lands. Their story is quite emotional but they finally get their HEA after 500 years.

“Tári, you are mine and I am not leaving you step outside of my arms until you agree to complete our bond formally.”
Tári hugged Garoldth closer as she smiled wider and she replied. “Garoldth, your are mine.”
Garoldth was quick to follow her words. “Tári, I am forever yours.”
“As I am yours, Garoldth.”
“Together we are one.” The couple completed their bond as they smiled into each other’s eyes, before they sealed their vows with another kiss.

Today is the first of the 6 posts coming up until the release of the last book in the Elven Chronicles, Kings of the Empire by M. A. Abraham on February 16, 2017. See my post with the preorder links.

It has been a few years since the series started and I along with the many fans of the Elven world have been emotionally connected to one character or another, cheered with each triumph and wept at each loss they suffered.

One thing that stayed constant is their absolute love for their Life Mates and this is my theme for the next 6 weeks, sharing the bonding scenes in each book.

And to start at the beginning… book 1 is…

GABRIEL

There are two couples bonding in this book.

DAROTH King of the Light Elves, a powerful seer mated to C’LIANDRA, a powerful seer herself…

As C’Liandra stepped forth Daroth beamed at her his face full of love and pride.  He held out his hands as she walked up to him and placed her hands into his.  Her eyes never once left his.
     “C’Liandra, my Life Mate.”  His voice was strong.
     “Daroth, he for whom I have waited all my life.”  C’Liandra almost sounded breathless and her hands trembled in his.
     “Would you wish to speak the words of binding now before all who are assembled before us, or would you wish to wait pending a period of courtship as is your right?”
     “We have our entire lives for you to pay court to me my love.  I would be yours in all ways from this moment on, if this is also your wish.”
     “It is my fondest dream.  I shall speak the words of bonding.  C’Liandra my Life Mate; my love, light of my soul, I am yours.”
     “Daroth, my Life Mate, I am yours.” C’Liandra replied.
     “As you are mine, I am yours.  We are one.”  Daroth then sealed the declaration with a kiss.
     The crowd cheered as Daroth drew her into his embrace and as she took her place at his side.

GABRIEL EAGLE CLAW, High Lord General of the Elven Combined Forces mated to EDEN, a powerful Tratchar (A special title held by Elves of extreme power focused on the health and welfare of the Great Guardian and the Sentinel Trees of the Elven Empire.)
… skipping the parts that are not PG, you’ll have to read the book to get the whole scene 😉

“…….Are you mine?”
     “Yes,” Eden hissed, her mind was a jumble of emotion.
     “I want to hear you say it Eden.  Say the words Eden.  You’re mine.”
     “You’re mine,” Eden rasped out and Gabriel ran his tongue over her ……. as she gave a throaty cry and begged.  “Gabriel, please.  I need you Gabriel. Please.”
     “I need the words Eden,” he urged her and he worked his way back up her body.  …..
     “I am yours, my Eden.  You are mine.”  Gabriel repeated the words of binding.

“Come, join me.” Daroth held out his hands to Marious and Tamarak as everyone gathered around them in a circle.

“This is your moment, your dream and hearts desire. Here, beneath the light of the full moon you will reaffirm your bond, surrounded by the light and love of your family.”

Daroth joined their hands together and went to stand amongst the others that formed the circle about them.

Marious took Tamarak’s hands in his and looked deep into her eyes. They were shining a brilliant green, filled with love and happiness and he smiled as he spoke.

“Tam, you are mine.”

In a sure but silvery soft voice, Tamarak repeated the beginning of her vow.

“Marious, you are mine.”

“Tam, I am yours.”

“Marious, I am yours.”

Together they finished. “Together, we are one. Forever.”

There, in the family estate gardens, amidst the light of the full moon and Elven magic, surrounded by beauty and majesty, Elven voices raised in song. Those who had attended the small ceremony were serenading them. Marious took his Life Mate into his arms and kissed her.

As the couple parted, a hoot of an owl was heard, followed by another in answer, and two white snow owls glided out of the night to land on Marious and Tamarak’s shoulders. To Tamarak, that was the crowning touch. Confirmation that it was a joining that had been meant to be, and the acceptance of her mate by those she had lived her life with.”

King Daroth walked through the crowded paths as he made his way to the High Lord General Gabriel Eagle Claw’s headquarters. He was hesitant to bother the Elf, because the last time he had seen him, he had looked so tired he appeared to be ready to collapse. Eden hadn’t looked much better, and it pained him to see his subjects in such a state. He realized it wasn’t his fault. The whole of the Elven Empire had the same problem, and it would only get worse, before things began to improve.

This time, King Daroth had another concern to add to the growing problems the High Lord General was facing. There was another army closing in on the West gates of the Light Elven Kingdom. He wasn’t sure what Gabriel was going to be able to do about that, if anything…
