Hello and welcome!
I got another surprise visit, a good one I have to say. Read on and find out who popped in for a chat.
Bet you thought I wouldn’t arrive in time.
I hear a man’s voice coming from behind me as I insert the key into the lock on the door of my office. My first thought is, is he talking to me? I turn to see a tall blonde drop dead gorgeous Elf. YES! Definitely for me.
I thought M.A. told you I would be arriving at around this time, The male Elf looks slightly apologetic.
It strikes me then that there was supposed to be a conversation between M.A. and I, but I got busy with meetings, then she was busy and, next thing we knew, it was time for me to head for home before the boss thought I was looking for more things to keep me busy. Who would have thought what needed to be discussed was this pressing. She usually gives me more warning than this, the woman can’t keep a secret worth beans.
We never got to discuss much of anything lately. We have been busy, I offer as an excuse. I am having a bit of a problem keeping my mind focused on the conversation I am supposed to be having with this Elf as he is standing barely a foot in front of me wearing nothing but suede pants and a pair of boots. He smells of the deep forest and his hair is hanging in long swathes down to his hips… and what hips they are, tapering down from a very lickable chest… so shoot me… I am a living, breathing female with twenty twenty vision.
Would you like me to come back at another time? He asks.
No, we are good, come in, I invite. I then realize how cold it is outside and he is standing before me without a coat on. Not that I mind, but he has to be freezing. It is the next thing I say, You must be half frozen.
This isn’t bad, you should feel what it is like where M.A. lives. That is worth putting on a shirt for. Also, as you two never got to talk about my visit, you won’t know who I am. My name is Thieron.

I thought as much, I admit. I recognize you from your posters … which is currently hanging up over my bed, I am not about to tell him that though.
I thought about bringing Talus with me, but he is too busy panting after Britallia at the present, Thieron confided.
I read about that, I snicker, as I taken off my coat to hang it up.
When M.A. told me what you said after you read about my treatment at the hands of the Eagle Claw children and their friends, I figured I would come and collect your offer, Thieron announced with a grin.
Collect? What offer? I stop and look at Thieron in surprise. Things are moving too quickly here, I am having trouble keeping up. This has got to be M.A.’s influence, she is always throwing me curves.
Yes! You don’t remember? My hug? Thieron smiles widely as he holds out his arms.
How can I resist? Doesn’t everyone want to hug someone that smells of evergreen trees? No, the physique doesn’t really matter… much.
I wrap my arms around Thieron’s waist and lay my head on his well-defined chest and resist an urge to taste … well … maybe I did manage to sneak a quick flick of the tongue. 😉 He enfolds me in his arms and I sigh. Yes, I definitely love the smell of pine trees.
When he lets me go, he is grinning and his eyes are full of mischief while he passes on a few messages.
Cambria sends her regards.
Cambria? Why? I can’t imagine what she might send to me.
I watch Thieron turn and walk to the outside door. DAYUM he even looks good from behind. He returns with something wrapped in vines and decorated with flowers. Definitely the work of a woman. He drops whatever is tied up onto the floor and I hear a voice give a squeak of protest as it lands hard on the ground. I feel my eyes widen as I ask, Is someone in there?
Thieron chuckles and replies, Unfortunately, I have to take it back with me when I leave or the Dark King won’t be pleased. He is apt to have words with us as it is.
What have the two of you done? I gasp.
Thieron speaks a few words and a young boy picks himself off the floor and launches himself at Thieron as he goes on the attack. He stops as he gets one warning, Cambria told me what spell to use to hang you from the trees as you did to me. Now, be a gentleman and say what you should to Lady Eniko.
The young Elf turns to me, bows and speaks, I am honored to be in your home.
Don’t you feel somewhat contrite about how you and the Eagle Claw children treated poor Thieron? I ask.
The boy smiled smugly winking at me while he declares The Eagle Claws motto says it best, For the King and Elven Empire. Serena is our Princess and it is our responsibility to protect her.
So why have you brought him here? I wonder.
Just to let him know, with an impartial witness, that payback can be brutal, Thieron laughs aloud, as he waves farewell. He picks up the young Elf and walks out the door. I watch from the window, he looks around and turns into a Dragon. As the young Elf turns to run from him, Thieron catches the seat of his pants in his teeth and warns, I wouldn’t thrash about too much if I were you, material has been known to tear and then where would you be? Then took to the air.
I shake my head and chuckle. Never boring around M.A.’s Elves, that’s for sure. I didn’t get to ask him any of my usual nosy questions, maybe next time.

I hope you enjoyed this visit too.

Thieron hails from the just released, THE PRINCESS, book 2 in the Guardians of the Empire by M. A. Abraham.
With the help of her sister, Chania, Serena managed to escape from their father. She will not be held captive, not by someone that wants to mate her to one of his prime Dragon shifters, not even if the man is an Elven Prince. She refuses to settle for anyone but A true Life Mate.Thieron returns home from a mission, only to find he has to go out again. This is not what he had planned, and he is not happy about being sent to the Elven Empire to chase down a spoiled Elven Princess who won’t listen to reason. They are both surprised, when they meet face to face to find that they are Life Mates, but it is never that simple with a Light Elven maiden, especially when she has recruited others to help keep her safe.
My review: 5 stars
The series will be epic. “The Princess” was just as good as the previous book with the twists, the humour that the fans are accustomed to from the author. Serena really put Thieron thru his paces but in the end he does get his Life Mate he’s been waiting for and I say it was about time. Poor Thieron! I want to hug him.
