My surprise visit to …

Hello and welcome!

I have to tell about the surprise visit I had just yesterday to a world that I love so much.

‘What in Heaven’s name is going on?’ I wonder.
A few moments ago there was loud sounds from outdoors intruding on my peace and grating on my nerves. Suddenly, everything has gone silent. No. That isn’t quite right. I can hear the sounds of birds, singing in the trees outside. Wait a minute; the songbirds are gone, migrating south, to where the heat is. There is also sunlight shining brightly through the windows, but the skies were overcast only a moment ago. I run to the window to check this out for myself, and do a double take. Where did all the trees come from? Where is the city that surrounded this building go? It looks like summer out there; it isn’t cold and gloomy anymore. I run to the door to see if this is real, or if someone is playing a trick on me.

OMG, there are flowers everywhere, and they are in full bloom with colorus ranging from one end of the spectrum to the other. The birds are really singing! There are trees framing a picturesque clearing and it is so wonderfully warm. Really, warm. This isn’t a dream, don’t wake me if it is, I don’t want to know. I blink in surprise as twelve Elven men walk out of the forest and bow to me.

Welcome to the Free Lands, my Lady Eniko. This is our home. Dínendal speaks, as his eleven brothers smile.

I have died and gone to Heaven, I swear it. I can’t be hallucinating, it is impossible, I was at work only a moment ago.

Your home? I stammer

Yes, my Lady. Dínendal replies, as he extends a hand to help me step off the stair I am standing on, to the ground where he is.

Of course I take it, I can’t safely make that step on my own, it is almost a full six inches high. I never thought it before, but Dínendal is drop dead handsome. My heart won’t quit pounding and it does a full flip as two blond Elves step forward to introduce themselves. One is in full dress uniform.

I am Eöl. He smiles

I am Endiku.

Endiku is wearing a ruby red robe, edged in white and gold, and it flows around him as he walks.

Both Elves offer me an arm so they can escort me around to meet their brothers. I tuck my shaking hands into the crooks of their arms and smile so wide I swear my face is splitting into two.

Haldemir, and Vandamir. Endiku began.

We heard you were coming and travelled from the Grey Elven Kingdom to make sure we got the chance to meet you. Haldemir spoke for both him and Vandamir, as he took my hand from Endiku’s arm. He then raised it to his lips to press a kiss to the back, and smiled as Vandamir took my other hand. They led me onwards, to the next set of brothers.

Elios and Eanor. Vandamir introduced his younger brothers.

Red heads, my favorite color and on these two Elves, unbeatable. I am speechless and I think they can tell; their eyes are twinkling very brightly with amusement, I am sure that is amusement, the rascals.

You don’t want to be bored by the exploits of two old married Elves. Permit us to show you around. We are much more lively. Eanor teased.

Elios grinned as he tossed me a wink and moved to stand beside me so he could wrap an arm around my waist. Just follow us and we will put stars in your eyes.

Eanor laughed, as he wrapped his arm around my waist from the other side. I appreciated the support, as I allowed them to lead me from Haldemir and Vandamir. We didn’t get far before two of their other brothers blocked our path. I looked at them and felt a whimper threatening to escape. They didn’t have to be introduced. I recognized them easily. Helix and Calix had dressed in the golden splendor of their Battle Bird squadron uniforms…to meet me!

Be good my brothers, you know we won’t let you get away with this. I am Calix.

I looked from one to the other and gave a sigh of appreciation. The two Elves looked so alike, and it was enough to make a girl melt at their feet. This is so unfair.

But of course we look alike. I am Helix, and we are twins, so we should look somewhat the same. I am the handsomer of the two, as you can see.

Of course! I replied.

All right, so I am sounding a little shell-shocked. Can you blame me? I feel like I am standing before two golden Elven gods. I expect them to lead me further to meet their other brothers, but it doesn’t turn out that way, as a dark haired Elf steps between his brothers and parts them. He takes my hand and pulls me out of the small circle I never realized I was in the middle of.

I have come to your rescue, fair maiden. My name is Tathar, and this is my brother Reiss. You remember him, I am sure.

I sure do, but can’t seem to respond fast enough, as Reiss pulls me into his arms to press a soft kiss against my forehead, while he croons. Of course she remembers me. How could she forget?

Very easily. She never met me. A younger Elf answers, as he wrapped his fingers around mine and pulls me gently out of Reiss’s arms. I am Garrett, and much closer to your age than they are.

Yes, but… I know I am forgetting something important but can’t think what…

I believe I know someone she would like to meet, even more than us, while she is here. Come this way, Lady Eniko. Dínendal purrs.

Someone I would like to meet more than Elven Royalty? The thought strikes me into a state of sudden awareness; these Elves are all Princes of the Free Lands.

A lone Elf slips out of the forest. He is in disguise. He is wearing a mask to hide his face, so I can’t see who he is. I am not an Elf, but despite that I can still sense this man’s power. It threatens to overwhelm me, yet I get the impression he has muted it so he doesn’t hurt my senses.

Eniko.

His says my name, and it rolls off his tongue with a seductive smoothness that races through me like aged brandy. Who is he? I can see the smile in his blue eyes. Wait a moment; there is something familiar about this Elf. He laughs, a full rich sound that makes goose bumps appear suddenly, all over my body. Can it be?

Of course it can be. The mysterious Elf purrs, as he takes my fingers in his hand and lifts them to his lips, to caress them with a light touch. When he releases my hand he raises his hand to the mask that shields his face from me. He removes it, as Endiku speaks from behind me.

“Eniko, may I present Lothrariel, King of the Elven Empire.”

I don’t know what happened after that, but when I woke up I was laying on the couch in my interview room. The day was overcast again and there were signs of the city I live in all around the building, including the noise.

Did I dream it all?

Maybe.

But I know one thing… the down comforter that surrounds me smells of an Elven forest and flowers. I have never felt a cloth so soft, warmth so complete. I feel precious, treasured. Special. Again, I have to ask myself.

Did I dream it?

Perhaps.

But I know this much. There was no down comforter in this room before, and I sink deeper into the cozy depths of my bower and inhale deeply I swear I can smell the scent of a certain Elven King. Unfortunately, it is soon overwhelmed by the fragrance of flowers as they fill the room. Elven Starflowers, now those I KNOW don’t grow where I live.

The 12 Princes of the Free Lands and Lothrariel, the King of the Elven Empire, hail from The Elven Chronicles series by M. A. Abraham. A series that I adore and was fortunate enough to be along for the journey from conception to publishing.

I never really like Elven books before this series, but the world that Ms. Abraham has opened for the readers is amazing and I wish I could go in and never return, and many times I loose myself among the Elves while following their life story.

Read them yourself and you will see why I love the series so much, follow the various characters, each finding their Life Mate and happiness. Of course their life is not easy, they fight against an enemy that is formidable and cunning. Amid all the strife, the author can weave in humour and lighthearted banter that make the books very light and enjoyable. The love is palpable in the story and the bonding scenes are heart melting, the words that the Life Mates speak to each other and joins their life forces.

What is your full name?
My full name is Joshua Brandon. I was always this name. Has served me well throughout history.

Do you have a nickname?
Daniel used to call me Josh. Most my lovers have loved the longer name, Joshua. We dark angels love the Bible names, and take them on purpose. Except Felix, of course, but that’s another sad story.
Yes, his story is sad.

What is one word best describes you?
Unstoppable. I am relentless. I am a consumer of passion, lover of all fine things, especially fine women and good wine. I like things on the edge, thrilling, and unexpected.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Why, I’ve just taken a steam bath, so I’m draped in my red fluffy bath sheet, and nothing else, my dear. What did you have in mind?
I have many things in my mind…

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
I’ve begged her to have a date with me like she did with Daniel, her hero in Heavenly Lover. Sharon, come out and play. I don’t bite (I’m not a vampire), and I too love to dance. And I can show you a good time, my lovely…
You are incorrigible LOL

What makes you laugh out loud?
Little things tickle me. Like when a Guardian is attracted to me. Or when a human woman thinks she can get away from me. I love it when I watch Audray become full of herself, take control of the dark side and become an Icon. She will do this, you know. It was predestined. There’s a whole lot more about her you’ll read about very soon in Underworld Queen.
I can’t wait to read and listen Underworld Queen. Quite a twist…

What is your favourite dessert?
I’m thinking Absinthe with a sugar cube.
I shudder Not my drink, but I used to serve it at the French restaurant I used to work at.

What is your favourite drink?
Flaming brandy.

Now we are talking. How about a glass now? Not flaming, but warmed up.

What is your greatest fear?
Paperwork. Organization. Rules I must follow.

What is your favourite colour?
Probably red, but I thought of black first.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Nothing. Are you interested in proving this?
I laugh out loud You are shameless!

What is the perfect romantic date?
A little Italian wine, small waterfall, violin music (sad, gypsy music like they play in the streets of Prague), a beautiful woman who is a virgin to me. I love conquests, especially virgins.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I am ticklish along my waistline. Just a little quirk. If a woman takes an inch of my flesh and squeezes it there right above my hip, I giggle and quickly try to reposition her hand.
I sit there and try to imagine him giggling… nah… I can’t… should I try it?

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?

I love the smell of deep red roses. Chrysler Imperial is my favorite rose.
I like those too, my fave is Double Delight.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I look at her aura. I inhale her scent and feel her passion, her fear. If she has deep fear, that excites me. Means she will have deep passion when it is set free. I listen to their thoughts, especially when they think I can’t understand them. When they question their erotic fantasies when they look at me. Love that the best.

I wonder if he can read my naughty thoughts. He looks at me and winks. I think I have my answer, my face burns…

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Melanie is in my life now. Melanie Worthington. But I fear she will leave me in Book 4.
Oh no! Really? But she loves you so much! What did you do?
I scowl at him and he shrugs

What is one word best describes her?
A delicate flower, and I claimed her before any other. I rescued her from death, a death that would have made her mine for all eternity. I ache for her and for the leaving I know she must do. She will grow. I will continue. That is the difference between us.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Yes my book is Book 2 of the Guardians. Book 3 will be out sometime before the end of 2014, if Father leaves Sharon alone enough to get it done.

I call him THE CHAMELEON VOICE, with such a wide range of accents, voice pitches, moods, I think JD Hart is one of the best narrators I’ve heard so far. I even used his voice to help with the migraines that plague me quite often.

Today I have two cowboys I met back in June and they are oh-so-yummy!

What is it about cowboys that makes our hearts go pitter-patter? Don’t know about you, but for me they embody everything that is earthy, loyal, passion, compassion… we can’t forget about the rugged, well muscled bodies either, especially jeans-covered tushies 😉 …. I could go on, but I know you are curious who these hunks are. So here I go…

What is your full name?
Hugh Donovan
Riggs Archer

Do you have a nickname?
Hugh the Huge. You’ll have to find out why. wink
Riggs: grins He calls me Archer, but only sometimes.

What is one word best describes you?
Hugh: Straightforward
Riggs: Passionate

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Hugh: A pair of Levis with a hole in the pocket where I got it caught on the fence, a black Boot Knockers logo T-shirt, my favorite cowboy boots and hat.
Riggs: Wranglers with a hole right here points to worn area by fly and a denim shirt. My trusty boots and black hat.
I know I am ogling, but can’t help myself. They look good enough to eat, holes-in-the-pants and all.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Hugh: Hell yeah. I wouldn’t let her get away with anything funny.
Riggs: Only thing that was off was my portrayal of my fights with Paul. I kicked his ass more than you see.
I think she did a great job.

What makes you laugh out loud?
Hugh: The antics of my guys. The other Boot Knockers are always playing practical jokes—gluing someone’s ass to a toilet seat, melting off Ty’s eyebrow with depilatory cream? Classic. That’s just a couple examples of their antics.
Riggs: When Sybill finds that special ticklish spot on Hugh’s side…

Oh I read about those, I laughed out loud when reading the batteries stealing scene, my favourite.

What is your favourite dessert?
Hugh: I’m fond of cream pies. clears throat and shifts around
Riggs: I love pie.

What is your favourite drink?
Hugh: A cowboy ain’t a cowboy unless he likes whiskey.
Riggs: Ditto.

What is your greatest fear?
Hugh: I was pretty nervous about losing Sybill, but in the end Riggs and I won her back. My greatest fear now? What do I have to be afraid of?
Riggs: Don’t let him fool you. He hates snakes.
Hugh: There’s one snake I don’t hate.
He is serious when he said it, but I see the laughter in his eyes.

What is your favourite colour?
Hugh: Hot pink because Sybill wears it on her toenails.
Riggs: Definitely hot pink.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Hugh: Do I look like a flannel jammies kinda guy? I sleep buck nekkid just like my lovers.
Riggs: winks

What is the perfect romantic date?
Hugh: With three of us, it’s hard to find romantic moments. But when we come together, there are wild, playful and sweet moments.
Riggs: We recently went to a big horse auction and had a great time in a local bar. Hugh’s got some dance moves.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Riggs: I think we covered this above.
Hugh: I’m not ticklish at all. looks to the side at Riggs I am not ticklish, Archer. You’d better keep that to yourself if you know what’s good for you.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Hugh: Leather and sweet woman.
Riggs: I get hard just thinking about those scents.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
Hugh: Until Sybill, nothing really riveted me. When I asked her to turn around and saw her shapely calves? Whooeee!
Riggs: I have an ass fetish, and she has the perfect one.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Hugh: Riggs and Sybill are not going anywhere.
Riggs: Never.

What is one word best describes her?
Hugh: Addictive.
Riggs: Delicious.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Hugh: The Boot Knockers series is about a group of cowboys who specialize in helping women with sexual problems. You’re going to see a lot of these cowboys—Damian from Body Language, Jack and Paul from Reining Men and Ty from Ropin’ Hearts, coming in June 2015.

I sure did love Body Language and looking forward to more.
