My Chat with Hope – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 9

Hello and welcome!

Another heroine is joining me for a chat. She is quite interesting. Enjoy!

What is your full name?
My full name is Hope.

Do you have a nickname?
Nope. It’s just Hope.

What is one word best describes you?
Unearthly

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
A pinafore that shimmers like dragonfly wings over a snow-white cotton blouse and peacock-blue sandals.

sandal.jpg

Oh, I love those!

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yes, I think she did. I’m quite secretive, so she could only go with what I allowed her to imagine.

What makes you laugh out loud?
Humans who say I don’t exist.

What is your favourite dessert?
Rainbow Ice Cream.
I never had that, sounds yummy.

What is your favourite drink?
Sparkling lemonade.

What is your greatest fear?
That children will one day be unable to see the magic.

What is your favourite colour?
All of them.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
A smile.

What is the perfect romantic date?
Being absolutely anywhere with Matthew.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Not very ticklish, though I discovered I have a tickly spot behind my ear. Matthew sometimes kisses me there, and it makes me giggle.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Baked apples and pine cones. Reminds me of Christmas.

When you look at a man what catches your interest?
Matthew is the only man who has ever caught my interest. I gave up eternity for him and would do it again without hesitation.
Eternity?

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Matthew. He is my life.

What is one word best describes him?
Genuine.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
No, not part of a series. Though that may change should the author decide to do a sequel. I’ll whisper a suggestion in her ear.

Thank you Hope for joining me today. I am looking forward to reading your story.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you enjoyed the chat with Hope. Have you figured out what she is? She hails from “Matthew’s Hope” by Avril Borthiry.
Mathew-cover.jpg
Author Bio
Avril was born and raised in the beautiful and historic region of Cumbria, northwest England, but now resides in Ontario, Canada. A lover of history, legend, and romance, her books embrace those elements. Her Celtic roots also weave their way through much of her writing, and she does have a wee bit of a dark side too, which sneaks out now and then.
She also has a pretty amazing family, some fantastic friends, and a very cute pooch.
Feedback on her books is welcome, and replies to emails (providing they make it safely into her inbox) are guaranteed.
My Chat with Albert – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 8
Hello and welcome!
Enjoy the chat with my next guest.
What is your full name?
Albert Cowden
Do you have a nickname?
Sometimes I’ve been called “Doc” by close friends.
What is one word that best describes you?
Complicated
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
A blinding-white Oxford shirt, jeans, and sandals.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yes and no. She understood my longing to find the love of my life before it was too late, and she realized how frustrated I was with everybody hovering around me as if I were an invalid—which I’m NOT—but I don’t think she truly understood the complicity of my nature. Her readers will, though. Some will recognize themselves in me.
What makes you laugh out loud?
When Rose and I were fooling around, she’d push me away, giggling, afraid we’d get caught, but then she’d tilt her chin in that funny way with a smile that lit up her eyes, and I knew then and there we’d be together again soon. I had to be patient!
What is your favourite dessert?
Apple crisp—the kind my wife Jean makes. The buttery crust melts in my mouth. Although she overcooks chicken sometimes, Jean prepares mouth-watering meals and desserts for our family.
What is your favourite drink?
I enjoy a chilled glass of Chardonnay while sitting on the porch watching the sun come down over Silver Birch Bay.
What is your greatest fear?
Dying before righting the wrong that has haunted me for decades.
What is your favourite colour?
Kingfisher-blue. My granddaughter, Lauren, says my eyes are kingfisher-blue, but that’s not why I like the colour best. Kingfishers remind me of the cottage. I often see one perched on a tree before it plunges headfirst into the bay after a fish. But the belted kingfisher also eats amphibians, insects, small mammals, and reptiles. Although you asked about colour, I couldn’t help myself from digressing about this specific bird because my science brain never shuts off.
Kingfisher-blue? Doing a quick web search… aaah…
kingfisher-3
source
What is the perfect romantic date?
I’d take the boat—the Cobalt, not the runabout— with Rose across the bay to the island. We’d sit on one of the large flat rocks on the northside of the island, where there aren’t many people, if any, and share a picnic of wine, smoked gouda, or another exotic cheese, and salty crackers (not the kind that tastes like cardboard). Later, warmed by both the wine and sun, we’d peel off our clothes and go swimming, then, well . . .
Smoked Gouda is my fave cheese YUM
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I’m not ticklish on my neck or under my arms or even on my feet, which are common places for people to feel ticklish, but I am somewhat ticklish along my spine when the touch is exceptionally light. I like a soft touch, and I like tickling others in fun.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
The aroma of cornbread just out of the oven is my favourite smell. It reminds me of the first time I went to the reserve, which was when the chief’s wife served Rose and me tea with cornbread. I smothered my portion in butter and honey. Delicious!
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I assume you expect me to say that what catches my eye about a woman is her smile, her figure, or her eyes. But what draws my attention to a woman most is her demeanour, especially one that’s warm, positive, accepting of me and herself —not needy. I can see this in her body language and face.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
Hmm . . . Maybe.
What is one word that best describes her?
Captivating
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Readers can expect to see some of the characters from Moonshadow in future novels. They’ll be surprised by the settings and circumstances in the new books, however. Surprises will be the norm.
Thank you Albert for chatting with me. Looking forward to reading your story.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Did you enjoy the chat with Albert? He is the hero in Moonshadow by Joy Lynn Goddard with Daniel Pike.

My Chat with Hayley – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 7

Hello and welcome!

Another heroine is joining me today, read on and find out who she is.

What is your full name?
Hayley Elizabeth Fitzgibbon

Do you have a nickname?
Rory calls me ‘Hales’. Since we were kids. I used to dislike it but these days, it’s not so bad.

What is one word best describes you?
Passionate.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Black skirt, white tank top, and red heels.
Dayum girl! Those are wicked, stand up and let me see them better.

redheels.pngsource

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
I do, yes. Kacey realized it was time for me to tell my best friend how I feel about Rory. She didn’t allow me to hold back, and to finally confront it head on. Kacey’s encouragement means so much to me, and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

What makes you laugh out loud?
Funny jokes, the camaraderie between best friends who know one another so well that nothing is off limits. Nothing is more healing than laughter.

What is your favourite dessert?
Lemon meringue pie. My grandmother used to make the best.

What is your favourite drink?
Non alcoholic – coffee. No day can start without at least two cups.
Alcoholic – margaritas.

What is your greatest fear?
Heights. I’m not a fan of being up higher than how tall I am. I like to keep my feet on the ground.

What is your favourite colour?
Red. There are so many shades of it, I can’t pick just one.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Nothing. I don’t like to get tangled up in anything.

What is the perfect romantic date?
Quiet time. A nice quiet dinner with great conversation, maybe a walk along the water or through a park. Good quality time, just being together and appreciating one another.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Oh my gosh. Is there anyone alive who isn’t ticklish? How could someone not be. I’m ticklish in multiple places. Especially my feet, but also under my chin, behind my knees. Well, that’s all the places I’ll tell you about.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Lilacs. They remind me of my childhood and my grandmother. The moments when we’d go pick them from around her yard. There were a gazillion lilac bushes on her land and we’d pick them fresh daily. I loved those moments and cherish the memories.

When you look at a man what catches your interest?
His eyes. I believe a man’s eyes can tell so much more than what he might say verbally. I love gazing into Rory’s eyes. They always express his kindness and humour, as well the laugh-lines around his eyes are very adorable. His eyes also show me how much he loves me. Every woman should be able to read all the love her man has for her through his eyes.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Rory, whose been in my life forever. We grew up together, have gone through so much, and we finally admitted how we truly feel about one another a few years ago.

What is one word best describes him?
Sincere. I could go on and on about all his amazing qualities, Eniko, but I love how honest and genuine he is. Rory is always sincere in his advice and guidance with me and our friends.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
The Revved & Ready books are not a series, but a collection of stories with the common theme of Mustangs. Kacey’s favourite car is the Mustang, ranging from year to year, and who doesn’t really? Their long, sleek and sexy. I think my heat-o-meter ramped up when Rory bought his many years ago. giggle The Mustang in each story also seems to be the way for everyone to come together at the crucial moments that they need to realize what’s right in front of them, what they miss, or for comfort with the past.

There are many more to come in the collection. Kacey has some incredible adventures coming up that readers will absolutely enjoy. I’m thrilled that it all started with mine and Rory’s story, 69 Mustang. Each one is more incredible than the last. Readers have to check them out.

They sound awesome, I am looking forward to reading your story. Thanks for chatting with me Hayley.

Did you enjoy the chat? As Hayley mentioned she hails from “69 Mustang” by Kacey Hammell.

My Chat with Zera – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 6

Hello and welcome!

Have you read the previous 5 chats? You should. They are awesome characters.

Today I have another heroine and she is kickass, I can’t wait to read her story. Read on and see how awesome she is.

What is your full name?
Zera Chancelay

Do you have a nickname?
They call my Chancy – because I tend to be a risk-taker.

What is one word best describes you?
Hmm… Badass?

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
My typical military issue attire for training; combat books, camo pants, white tank top and a ponytail.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Kali gets me, more so than most, I think. Deep down, I think she sees a little of me in herself. Maybe that’s what she manages to portray my thoughts and feelings so well in my story.

What makes you laugh out loud?
These days, not much. The weight of the world on my shoulders and all. If I had to pick something, I’d say the playful banter between Elyse and Ghost. Those two are polar opposites, and yet perfectly suited for each other. Under their constant bickering, they really love one another.

What is your favourite dessert?
Anything but rations, to be honest. I’m a sucker for Strawberry Cheesecake. Man, I could kill for a slice right now! We don’t get the good food on base. scrunches nose in disgust
Got some mini cakes for you, taste this one.

Mini-Strawberry-Cheesecakes-6.jpgsource

What is your favourite drink?
A double Whiskey Sour. In fact, plenty of them will suit me just fine, thank you!

What is your greatest fear?
Losing everyone I love. Oh wait, been there, done that. Okay, not being able to save our two worlds from complete and utter destruction.

What is your favourite colour?
I’m partial to black, but the camo green kinda grows on me.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
My tank top and panties. I always keep my pants and boots at the edge of the bed. You never know when the enemy will be crashing through your door.

What is the perfect romantic date?
Oh, wow. I had the perfect date. Sushi, Saki, secret messages of adoration and stolen kisses in the dead of night. Other times, a good sparring session of KAPAP sets my blood on fire.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I honestly don’t know. No one’s ever dared try to tickle me. It seems most folks are a little intimidated by me.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
My favourite smell is hardwood burning in the fire place. It reminds me of home. My in-laws have a beautiful cabin in the Catskills. The crackling fire is one of the few things that calm my warrior spirit.

When you look at a man what catches your interest?
There’s only one man who catches my interest. His shoulder length, dirty blonde, the way the stray wisps dance around his perfect face. His full, luscious lips, tanned complexion and the gold flecks mixed in the blues of his irises. It doesn’t hurt to look at his broad, muscular shoulders and rock-solid chest, and just the site of him in his camo pants and tank top. The way it hugs his corrugated abs… sigh I’m sorry, where was I?

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Whoa, that’s a story in itself. First, I had the love of my life, then I lost him. Then, I sort of connected with a duplicate. That turned out to be a major problem, there were bullets, explosions… let’s just say, it’s complicated.

What is one word best describes him?
Perfect… stares at the wall blankly Where was I?

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Let’s just sum it up with, Kali has yet to write a complete series. She tends to be a single story kind of author as of late, but this story is just the beginning. There is room for an endless series, a TV show, major motion picture, star-studded cast like Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Hunnam… Oh man, there is no end to the possibilities. Considering how long it Kali took to write this story, it’s hard to predict the future. You know, she’s constantly distracted by her damn dragon fetish. Maybe if we genetically modify one, she’ll get inspired? Anyway, I’ve got tons of work left to do, and to be honest, there is a little unfinished business in this story. Uh hmm, eyes the author with an evil glare Kali will have to speak to that later. I will just add, I’m pushing her for more.

Thanks for taking the time to chat with me. I try to sneak online between training sessions and combat. It’s always great to see your awesome interviews on SEELKs FIRE &  ICE. I can’t believe you actually picked me to talk to! Maybe my whole saving the world assignment upped my profile?

Thank you Zera for chatting with me, I am looking forward to reading your story and I will give you a hand in nudging Kali to get more stories… and a movie with Chris and Charlie? Sign me up.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope you enjoyed the chat. Zera hails from “Utopic Paradigm” by Kali Willows. The book will release in the fall. The KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle has chapter 1 from this book.
My Chat with James – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 5
Hello and welcome!
Thanks for joining me on Day 5 of the “Discover new worlds” for the KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle.
Please welcome today’s guestuhmguests?
This should be interesting.
What is your full name?
James Matthews
Do you have a nickname?
James: Nope
Mac raises his eyebrow What do you mean no? I’ve given you a couple of them.
James glares at Mac Correction, no appropriate nicknames
What is one word best describes you?
I’d say that I’m pretty loyal
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Honestly? I just got off a rather long day shift so I’m still wearing my after work baggy black t-shirt and a pair of grey sweats that have a splattered bleach stain on my left pant leg.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
I really hope so! She’s still working on it currently and hasn’t finished it quite yet.
What makes you laugh out loud?
I’m always up for a good comedian or messing around with my coworkers when there isn’t a dire situation.
What is your favourite dessert?
Apple crumble
What is your favourite drink?
Let’s see… For alcohol it would have to be just straight rum on ice. For other drinks it would have to be anything peach related.
What is your greatest fear?
Being cheated and left…again
What is your favourite colour?
Hmmm…  probably blue
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
When I sleep alone, probably just boxers. When I’m sleeping with my partner I don’t wear anything, mostly because it becomes annoying when he gets all touchy-feely.
What is the perfect romantic date?
Our first one
Mac pipes in Really…? Out of all the dates that I took you on that one was your favourite? We literally just went to dinner at an Italian restaurant and then solved a murder.
Yeah, so?
Mac: ... Okay, I’m good with that…
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
James glances nervously to Mac who is now sitting on the couch beside him Very ticklish, but mainly on my ribs.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
James looking at Mac Just don’t laugh… it used to remind me of you when we were in high school.
Mac: Me?
James: Yes you, I used to smell Aloe Vera.
Mac: Seriously?
James blushing Yes… Hey! You promised you wouldn’t laugh!
Mac: I never promised anything Mac chuckles as James swats at him
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
Ummm, well with my ex-wife it was the fact that she wanted me more than anything else. But I guess with other females it was always their eyes and the way that they held themselves when they walked.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
James: Y-yes well sort of. Mac? Are you going to say hi now that you sat in for most of the interview?
Mac: Hello! I’m Mackenzie and I’m-
James: Okay I think that’s enough out of you!
What is one word best describes him?
It would have to be annoying
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
It is and it isn’t. It’s a single book that’s a mini series within the covers. Each chapter is its own story but it’s also in chronological order.
Thank you so much James … and Mac for stopping by today. I am looking forward to reading your stories.
My Chat with Quinn – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 4
Hello and welcome!
Here we are on day 4 and today’s guest is another heroine. Read on, find out who she is and what she has to say.
What is your full name?
My full name is Quinn Grace Jamieson. Grace was my maternal grandmother’s name.
Do you have a nickname?
Mmm, not really. When I was little my parents called me Quinny. Oh, and a boy in high school used to call me “Q”. He’d said, “Good morning, Q.” or “What’s going on, Q?” Stuff like that. But he was the only one that called me that.
What is one word best describes you?
I don’t know. I guess maybe, dedicated. Ha, or maybe I should say naïve. No, I’ll stick with dedicated. It’s more positive. Anyway, it’s what I’ve heard others say about me. It’s not something I think about.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Well nothing glamorous. I’ve only been out of the hospital for a few days. The wound on my right side is still tender. So, I am wearing a loose-fitting purple t-shirt and a pair of grey boxer shorts with the waist band rolled down a little. Even though my wound is covered, I can’t stand any pressure on it.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
I think so. I mean it was a pretty traumatic event for me. She did a good job showing that despite my attack I still tried to… Sorry, the memory is pretty raw. It’s a difficult thing to go through. I have an appointment tomorrow with a psychologist. You know, to talk about everything. Anyway, yes, the author portrayed my reaction accurately. It’s what I do. That instinct to try and save a life is ingrained in me.
What makes you laugh out loud?
Right now, nothing. Not because I don’t want to, but because it hurts too much… physically. But what makes me laugh out loud are unexpected things. You know a quick-witted comment that you don’t expect. Or maybe an action from someone or some animal that is unexpected. Things like that.
What is your favourite dessert?
That’s a tough one. I love dessert, but I exercise every day so I can eat whatever. Well, not now. I haven’t exercised since the day of the… of the incident. Can’t for another few weeks. So, I guess I’ll be staying away from sweets for a bit, or at least full portions. Maybe, I’ll eat a little.
Anyway, if I have to pick one, I’ll say cheesecake, all kinds.
What is your favourite drink?
Alcoholic? Ciders. Non-alcoholic? It’s a toss up between coffee and water.
What is your greatest fear?
Wow! I guess I’ve lived through it. I mean that wasn’t my greatest fear until it happened. Fighting for my life… what could be worse?
What is your favourite colour?
It used to be red. Not anymore, not now. Maybe I’ll like it again some day. I do like purple too though. That was always my second favourite. I guess it’s moved ahead now.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Before incident – nothing or just underwear. Well, maybe a light t-shirt in the winter. Now, a loose-fitting tank and my underwear.
What is the perfect romantic date?
Do I have to answer this question? Sorry, it just reminds me of… him… the incident. I can’t think of romance, dating, before or in the future. I don’t know.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Very ticklish. Well besides the usual places like sides, underarms, belly. I’m strangely ticklish at the back of my knees. Oh, and between my shoulder blades.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Vanilla and fresh ground coffee. The vanilla reminds me of my mother’s baking. And the coffee, well I just like the smell. Always have, even years before I liked the taste.
When you look at a man what catches your interest?
Sorry, I can’t answer this. Nothing, at the moment.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
Next.
What is one word best describes him?
Really? Do you not know what happened to me?
Sorry, I do not know.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
No, this is not part of a series, but the author may eventually turn this short story into a full length novel.
Thank you for your time, Quinn. Wishing you speedy recovery.
Now I am curious, what happened to her? It must be pretty bad.
Her story is “Not Worth Saving” by Sandra J. Jackson.
Follow Ms. Jackson on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date, find other links on the website.
Sandra J. Jackson was born in Montreal, Quebec but has lived in Ontario for over 30 years.
An avid reader of many genres, Sandra’s writing does not fall into any specific category. However, her goal is to create stories that pull readers into the book and make them feel as though they are a part of the story.
Sandra’s debut novel, Promised Soul, was originally released in 2015 by her former publisher. Her second novel, Playing in the Rain – Book 1 of the Escape Series, released in September 2017 also by the same former publisher. Both books were re-released by her new publisher in early 2018. And in August of the same year, Playing in the Rain was the finalist in the Golden Box Book Awards under the science fiction category. She holds a professional membership with the Canadian Author Association and is a member of Writers’ Ink.
With book 2 of The Escape Series due to be released sometime in 2019, Sandra is currently working on editing book 3 of the series, her first trilogy.
My Chat with Gemini, Yvonne and Justice – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 3
Hello and welcome!
Did you enjoy day 1 and 2 in the “Discover new worlds” for the KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle ? I hope so and I am so glad you joined me again
Welcome to day 3, and today we have not one, not two, but three guests and I am so excited!
Gemini is a Vampire from Ancient Rome. Wealthy and educated. Emotional, impulsive, warm, loving. Centuries old yet looks like he’s 18.
Yvonne is Gemini’s human lover/partner. Artist and teacher. 35. Serious, talented, nurturing.
Justice is Gemini’s and Yvonne’s new lover. 19. Irresponsible, passionate, needy. Intelligent though uneducated.
They take seats on the large comfortable sofa across from me. Justice sits between Gemini and Yvonne, snuggling into Gemini. Yvonne wraps her hand around his.
Welcome! Welcome!
Gemini: It’s wonderful to meet you, Eniko. What a beautiful name.
Thank you!
Yvonne:
Yes, it’s lovely.
Thank you!
Justice: Hey. This is pretty cool. I’ve never been interviewed before.
Thank you for joining me today. I will be asking you some questions and hope you will answer them, my readers are very curious bunch.
Do you have a nickname?
Gemini glances at Yvonne
Yvonne: Yes, he does.
Justice: It’s Gem. And he nodding at Gemini calls her Von. I don’t really have one, though.
Gemini smiling Would you like one?
Justice: Sure.
Yvonne: Don’t we call you sweetheart?
Justice blushing Okay. Yeah. Stop it.
Gemini: Stop calling you sweetheart?
Justice: No. Stop embarrassing me.
Yvonne: Never. It’s such fun. lifts Justice’s hand and kisses the back of it
What is one word that best describes you?
Justice: Ooooh, actually can we pick a word to describe each other?
Sure, have at it.
Gemini pointing at Justice and smirking Upstart.
Justice pointing at Gemini Elitist.
Yvonne is laughing while pointing at both Concupiscent.
Gemini laughs loudly
Justice:
I’m kind of scared to ask…
Gemini: Horny.
Justice nods Okay.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Gemini looks down at himself Dark jeans and a grey sweater. Dress shoes. Watch. The usual.
Justice: Ripped jeans and a Twenty-One Pilots t-shirt. glances at Yvonne and Gemini, then whispers No underwear.
Yvonne feigning shock Justice, really. We can’t take you anywhere.
Justice smirks You just can’t undress me anywhere.
Yvonne winks at Justice We’ll see about that.
Gemini’s eyes travelling over Yvonne slowly Yvonne is wearing a chartreuse dress that I am very fond of as it shows off her assets very nicely.
Justice: Her ass?
Gemini: Assets. All of them.
Justice gazing at Yvonne with affection I have to agree.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Justice: Huh. Mostly. I come off as very young though. Younger than I am.
Gemini: Compared to me you are extremely young.
Justice: Then maybe you shouldn’t be fucking me, old man.
Yvonne laughs
Gemini: I have the body of an eighteen-year-old. So, we’re good.
Justice: Your body is younger than mine. Which is pretty mind-blowing.
Yvonne: Well, not really. It just looks like it is. You bastard.
Gemini: Yvonne, you don’t have anything to complain about. You are stunning.
Yvonne winks Should have seen me at eighteen.
Gemini: Perhaps I did.
Yvonne laughs You wouldn’t have been able to hold yourself back for all those years, trust me.
Justice turns to me This is how they are all the time. Talk about ass kissing.
Yvonne and Gemini raise their eyes at Justice
Justice snorts
What makes you laugh out loud?
Justice: Talk about ass kissing.
What is your favourite dessert?
Gemini: Justice.
Justice: Very funny.
Gemini: And true.
Yvonne: Justice covered in chocolate.
Justice blushes You guys. Seriously.
What is your favourite drink?
Justice and Yvonne stare pointedly at Gemini
Gemini shrugs Same answer. Although Yvonne comes in a close second. I am a vampire.
Yvonne: Mine is sangria.
Justice: Coke.
What is your greatest fear?
Gemini looks down, clears throat I can’t talk about that. Next question.
Justice and Yvonne both watch him
Yvonne smiling sadly Next question.
What is your favourite colour?
Gemini: Blue.
Yvonne: Red.
Justice: Right now, it’s chartreuse.
Yvonne: Darling. leans in and kisses him on the cheek
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Gemini and Yvonne both laugh
Justice: Each other?
What is the perfect romantic date?
Justice: Oh God, oh God! That time you guys took me to that movie, I can’t even remember what movie it was because I couldn’t pay attention to any of it!
Gemini: It was a Spanish film. I can’t remember either.
Justice: We sat in the back row and they…all through the movie their hands were all over me. It was fucking awesome. And kissing and … fuck. For, like, two hours.
Yvonne: Then we took you to the rooftop garden at Jennifer’s building. She was kind enough to let us up there. And keep everyone else away.
Justice: You drove me insane
Gemini: It was excruciatingly lovely, teasing and tormenting you for so long.
Justice: They finally, uh, you know, finished me. I saw stars. And not just because we were on a rooftop.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Gemini: No comment.
Justice and Yvonne both laugh
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Yvonne: Fresh cut grass. Childhood.
Justice: Pot. Sex and happiness.
Gemini: Justice. Home.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Gemini: This is a free story that covers how I met Justice and rescued him from an, ahem, deadly situation.
Justice: He saved my life.
Yvonne: He brought you home.
Gemini: The next story involving the three of us is also free. It’s called Aeternum and is available on Elizabeth’s author page at Prolific Works. I believe these two stories will eventually be the beginning of a novel called Diamond Dogs. I apologize in advance for the graphically erotic nature of Elizabeth’s stories. She enjoys portraying our encounters in great detail glances at Justice and Yvonne. Although I can’t say I blame her.
I am looking forward to reading your story. I really enjoyed chatting with you, thank you for joining me today.
My Chat with Diealnor – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 2
Hello and welcome!
Did you enjoy day 1 in the “Discover new worlds” for the KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle ? I hope so.
Welcome to day 2, my guest is somebody very new to me, wish me luck 😉
What is your full name?
Diealnor ip Orfan dua Tramki – it’s a mouthful, I know. I swear, I didn’t choose it, it was forced on me.
I am not even going to try to pronounce that.
Do you have a nickname?
Diea…like idea…only…not.
Now that is better.
What is one word best describes you?
Alone. My name makes me an outcast amongst my people, and really everyone. My family, well, they weren’t good men and I’m tainted by their blood so I must not be good either. Most people stay away from me because of it.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
The author portrayed me as being hopeful. I left my homeland to escape the persecution I faced there, hoping that in a new land, if I lied about who I was, I could escape my past, but I know that’s not true. People always find out. I wasn’t hopeful when I fled. I am now though, so…I guess…yes, to my author.
What makes you laugh out loud?
Bubbles. Don’t share that and I will deny it if questioned. But they tickle against your skin when they pop and they make children forget the world around them for a few moments to chase after the shimmering ball of soapy air. They are magical and laughter is a wonderful form of magic.
SHHH don’t tell him I revealed his secret, but isn’t he sweet? AWWW
What is your favourite dessert?
What’s dessert? I eat berries after most meals. Does that count? And the baker in the city makes cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
Cinnamon rolls can be dessert, so can berries.
What is your favourite drink?
Mead, though I’m more used to just water. Humans brew good mead though.
What is your greatest fear?
That I will turn into a monster like my father and brothers and the world will turn against me like it did against them, deservedly so.
What is your favourite colour?
Silver, like Sagila’s eyes.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Why would you wear anything when you go to sleep?
I know, right?
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
Her spirit. There’s something about a shining soul that entrances me, draws me close like a moth to the flame. Strength and kindness shine out of someone like a gift waiting to be claimed, but that claiming is not a thing of taking. It has to be earned and given in return.
I am already falling in love with him…
Do you have somebody in your life now?
Sagila. She’s the most perfect creature I’ve ever met. She never turned from me, not even when she learned my name; she stood close. I never thought to love myself, nor for someone to love me. It is a gift beyond measure and I will cherish it for an eternity.
What is one word best describes her?
Strong. She fled an abusive relationship and had to start over on her own, bereft of money or family or friends. Yet it didn’t break her, and it didn’t dim her spirit. She worked hard to give herself a life of her own choosing. She is my inspiration and my strength. It is my honor to offer my own as a meager protection for her safety now.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
I suppose… I am the start of the future. My grandson is to be a prince, someone the world will want to destroy, who will have to trust in fate and love to thrive. He will be charming and true and change the world with the way he lives. He will be a king like no other before him, and his children will be the only hope of my – of all – peoples.
Thank you Diealnor for chatting with me, hope you will return one day in the future with updates.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So? What do you think? Will you enjoy reading Diealnor’s story? I am looking forward to reading it. He hails from The Elf and the Shoemaker by Andi Lawrencovna.

Thank you Andi, for sending my future BBF (book boyfriend) for a chat 😉

Follow Ms. Lawrencovna on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date, other links to social media sites can be found on the website.

Andi Lawrencovna lives in Northeast Ohio where she was born and raised. She has spent nearly her entire life in the same area, minus the semester she spent studying abroad in England. Though she has not gone back recently, her lifelong goal is to open a pub in one of the small little towns in the Cotswold’s and shear sheep in the backyard during the slow hours of the day. Or, barring that, write about a pub keep with sheep who gets abducted by trolls or enspelled by a siren. Either path works for her.
She recently finished her MFA in creative writing from a low residency program out of state. Her mad-schemes of world pub domination currently are on the back burner while she endeavors to pass on her love of literature and writing to local area writers groups and panels.

My Chat with Ilène – KaLiCon Reader’s Bundle – day 1

Hello and welcome!

As I mentioned in the intro post, Andi Lawrencovna came up with this great idea and a few of the authors signing at KaLiCon 2019, joined her to make a bundle where each share a short story, giving the readers a chance to get to know their writing styles and the worlds they created. It will release August 1 and will be available FREE until the event starts.

My first guest! SQUEEE

I am not about to be ambushed by Elves or Aliens this time, but for some reason, this visit has been on edge more than any other I have had in a long time. The only advance warning I got came by messenger…

message.png

translation for those of you who do not read Elvish: Brace yourself, I come bearing tales of the past our friends would probably rather I forgot. There was nothing else on the paper, but I could swear I heard a maniacal laugh after I finished reading it.

It is for this reason I am standing outside of my chat room and bracing myself to go inside to face what is to come up. I walk through the doorway, into the room and notice a Female Elf inside. She is dressed in black leather that covers her from top to bottom like a second skin and the skirts are cut on the sides from hem to hip. She is also seated in my chair with her feet propped up on the desk and crossed at the ankles. I am tempted to say something, but the devilish look on her face accompanied by a challenging gleam in her eyes stills my tongue. Sure, you are free to drip mud and water all over my notes, make yourself at home. I walk over to where she should have been sitting and make myself comfortable by emulating her. Unfortunately, I can’t do it with the same degree of grace. Despite this, the only difference between us is that I am not checking the sharpness of a knife with my thumb or bristling like a porcupine with others. I refuse to allow her to outdo me in my own office though.

Hello Lady E, my name is Ilénè, The Dark Elf speaks with a sultry voice that brings up images in my mind that doesn’t belong there. Damn, but if she is half as dangerous as she sounds, we are in serious gimshee.

I look at her mocking grim and know she can read me like a cheap novel. No matter, I reply, Your ancestor, King Liessen, was much more eloquent.

Ilénè laughs, her amusement sounding of pure joy, I am sure he was. His reputation isn’t about to die any time soon in the Elven Empire either. I am willing to bet it was well earned too.

I return her smile and answer, The secret of his behaviour in this world is safe with me.

This isn’t what I came for, but it has been rather fun. Do you spar as well as interview? Ilénè asked hopefully.

Never touch the stuff, I admit.

Well, if you ever interview Gabriella Eagle Claw, it is the only way you will have any fun, Ilénè informed me. She can be as canny as the rest of us, but under it all is a plain boring sense of duty. Cambria, on the other hand, will show you a good time if you let her. That girl does know how to party.

Taught her all you know, did you? I chuckled.

Those who plot together and all, Ilénè answers in a flippant tone. Of course it doesn’t work so well against her sister, but occasionally we get lucky when she is otherwise busy and not looking to be ambushed. An excited flush covers Ilénè’s face as she giddily adds,Gabriella on a mission to even the score is a thing of beauty. She has such a diabolical mind. A girl can hurt for a whole week after she is finished, but it is so worth it.

As I continue to smile, I shake my head and think to myself this girl is certifiable. I have heard about Gabriella Eagle Claw and wouldn’t want to butt heads with her.

About this time, I hear a soft knock on my door and Ilénè calls out, Come in if you dare and you better make sure it is worth the interruption.

With that, two Male Elves walk through the doorway and they are wearing very little else but a dark bunny suit and a suggestive smile. A little less and there would be nothing left for the imagination. Oh, but they are drop dead gorgeous. The only thing that seems out of character about the costumes are the weapons they carry. Bunnies don’t wear swords and knives tucked in strategic places. How they found those places I will never know. As I check out their … COUGH … costumes, I notice other things bunnies don’t have… things like fur lined collars and cuffs hanging from whatever there is to hold them.

I glance at Ilénè and a seductive purr comes from her direction, Well, well, the boys want to play. Time to leave the office for a bit of fun and games. Care to join the party, Eniko? Always room for one more and I have the most interesting games room.

I can’t help but grin as I reply, I am sure you do.

Ilénè chuckles as she answers, I am, after all, in training to become a member of the Dark Elven Elite Squad. I also fully intend to be the head of it one day. To do this, I will need to know everything.

I watch her leave with the two hunks and shake my head. She is definitely a descendant of Liessen , King of the Dark Elves. I am pretty sure she had a good time. Dark Elves are not known for their shyness LOL

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ilénè hails from “The Legacy” by M. A. Abraham, a short story from the Elven Empire where I would love to move once M.A. convinces one of the Elven Mages to open a portal for me 😉
I had the chance to read the story and you will love it. Here is an excerpt:
Mariss looked at Gabriella in suspicion as he asked, “Where did you ever hear about anything like you said?”
Ilénè preened, as she openly grinned and answered, “You seem to forget, Dark Elven Princess here, hello. If you think what she said was explicit, you should try living at my place.”
“Your parents allow talk like that in front of you?” Mariss’ Life Mate exclaimed. “You are a child.”
“If you think the words paint a picture, Ranèdel, you should see the visuals,” Ilénè sniffed. “As far as the rest goes, I might be a child, but I have ears and eyes. Only a baby wouldn’t be able to put two and two together.”
“You are corrupting my sisters,” Mariss stated. In his indignation, the syrup and feathers were pushed aside.
“Correction,” Ilene pointed out. “I am educating them. I would rather have them know about these things than have some randy Dark Elven teenage boy try to take advantage of their innocence. We will work on the heavier stuff in a few more decades.”
“If the young men in the Dark Elven Kingdom value their nuts, they will stay away from my sisters,” Mariss mumbled.
“I heard that,” Ilénè grinned. “I will warn my brothers. They keep saying Gabriella and Cambria can’t grow up fast enough for them.”
As Ilénè dealt with Mariss, Gabriella and Cambria turned their charms on Ranèdel “If it wasn’t meant to be there, you would have thought our brother would have gotten this sticky mess off of you immediately,” Cambria tsked.
“You take care of the sap and I will help with the feathers,” Gabriella offered. “Men. No sense of a woman’s needs.”
Mariss heard what Gabriella said and turned to her angrily, “I was about to tend to some of those needs when you set off your trap. You little hooligan.”
Gabriella and Cambria stood as if stricken. While twin sets of silver blue eyes filled with tears, Ranèdel admonished Mariss. “That is quite enough. You are a big bully. All they were doing was trying to help. As for this mess, they weren’t anywhere near us when that bird landed on the overhead branch causing it to break. It was just our bad luck everything happened at the same time. Look at the poor darlings. You made them cry. Your own baby sisters.”
Gabriella and Cambria were tempted to send each other looks of triumph, but that would have been a dead giveaway. It was enough to know they had won this round. The look on Mariss’ face, however, told them he was far from being fooled. He was well aware of what they were doing, and what they had done. He just had no way of proving any of it.
With an abruptness that caused Ranèdel to gasp, Mariss conjured a cleansing spell to whisk the gooey mess covering them both away, then took her hand and led her away. To make sure he made his point with his sisters, he shot them a look over his shoulder to tell them this was not over. He was surprised when Gabriella returned one to him that she was ready and waiting for him.
Make sure you sign up to Ms. Abraham’s blog and follow on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date.
Born and raised in the central part of Canada, M. A. Abraham still lives on the prairies, while she writes her stories. She was known as the storyteller when she was a child, and those she told were played when they were at a loss for something to do. Her friends and her would act out the character parts, as they raced around outdoors, in summer as in winter. At thirteen, a friend challenged her to a writing contest, to see who could make up the best story. Well, after winning that, she continued to write, and never stopped, although her life didn’t run in that direction later.
Her sidekicks, Thena and Tath, the two Siamese cats, aptly nicknamed The Gorgeous Bratz, rule her house and she tries to keep them in line. They are spoiled beyond reason, but there are a couple of things she will not share with them, her extensive Snoopy collection, and her books. The Snoopy stuffies are hers exclusively; the books are for those who want to read. The question she often asks, when people go for a signed copy, “Which would you like? Elven Warriors? Or Winged Aliens?” She has them both in the worlds she creates.
