I just finished this audiobook and wanted to share with you. Lisa Becker is a new-to-me author and I am glad I got to discover her work. I will check her other books out for sure.

I love the book, I laughed, I cried, it broke my heart then put it back together. I do believe in fate and is true that Ryan is a rarity. I am glad that he found his ‘the one’ with Angie, they complement each other in many ways and their chemistry is palpable. Loved the movie references and the quotes…. Love this one: “The rearview is smaller than the windshield.”… My heart was breaking while following their journey to HEA, how callous some of those around them were. He had great friends though, loved his family and their closeness. His sister was a hoot. My first book from Ms. Becker and I thoroughly enjoyed. – 5 stars
Ms. Mallon is one of my ‘eargasm’ voices and she did an excellent performance as usual giving each character their voice base on their temperament and state of mind. I love listening to her voices, male and female alike. I especially liked Ryan’s and Angie’s voices. – 5 stars

What is your full name? My true name is Kgosi Kerneels Nyuesi which translates to something similar to Chief Kingly Black. He laughs, I know it’s not so pretty in your American language. But as a Black Rhino Shifter It is important to our people to have names that encompass who we are.
Do you have a nickname? Well actually yes. My nickname and the name I go by is Karl. When I was a little one my best friend couldn’t pronounce my name and called me Karl. It stuck and I find it much easier to use.
What is one word that best describes you? Warrior, I protect and care for my people. They are my family, and I will do anything to keep them safe.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers. I have worn today what we traditionally wear in my village. The men do not wear much more than a Kente loincloth. Kente is an African cloth that we weave with bright colors and shapes. I have noticed that you like to admire mine.he winks at me bustedDon’t blame a gal for lookingI grin at him unrepentantly
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately? She has done an amazing job capturing me and my Rhino also approves of how she portrayed him.
What makes you laugh out loud? I know it is silly but I love Dad jokes. Like “Did you hear about the circus fire? It was in tents.” Has me in stitches every time.
What is your favourite dessert? Hertzoggies are my absolute favorite. They are jam-filled puff pastry tartlets that are sprinkled with coconut.

What is your greatest fear? Poacher’s taking away all that I love.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of? My mother used to make me Fish Curry and Rice. It is my favorite meal and now that she is gone, Nkuku makes it for me. Nkuku is my grandmother you will meet her in the book. The smell reminds me of my mother, I miss her so much.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest? What always catches me first is if they can hold my gaze. Eyes are what I look at first.
Do you have somebody in your life now? I have found my mate, but it is complicated. She is amazing, but also imprisoned for her bad deeds. I hope I can help her find the good in her before it is too late.
What is one word best describes her? Stubborn, but she is also so elegant and firey. Being away from her makes my heart ache.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series? It is part of the Endangered Mates Series. There is so much to explore. Check it out and you won’t be disappointed.

Do you have a nickname? My family calls me Mealy. she blushesMy little sister had trouble saying my full name and it kinda stuck. But I prefer Amelia. I have been called Alex, but I currently go by Demetrius.
What is one word best describes you? I would think focused would best describe me. I’ve had to be to get what I’ve wanted. Patient. I’ve had several lifetimes to develop the trait.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers. My wardrobe consists of 98% scrubs. Along with nursing clogs, it’s about all I wear. I prefer casual business attire. More often than not, I wear button-down silk shirts, slacks, and loafers.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately? Without a doubt. She knows exactly how I think. She was disturbingly accurate.
What makes you laugh out loud? It has to be outrageous to make me laugh out loud, I’m pretty quiet. I tend to be overly serious at times, or so I’m told.glances at Amelia, who is smirking at his responseThough I do enjoy Amelia’s snarky comments, which has made me laugh a time or two.
What is your favourite dessert? As long as it’s chocolate, it’s my favorite. I’m not one for sweets, though I remember my mother making bougatsa when I was a young boy. We didn’t get the sweet pastry often but I enjoyed the custard filled dough.
Bougatsa? Hmm I do a quick web search AAAAH Looks yummy. I make a similar pastry but with cottage cheese.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of? Fresh baked cookies. I spent a lot of time with my mom in the kitchen when she was cooking or baking. Those are my best memories. A breeze over the open sea. It reminds me of working as a youth in Greece with my father on his boat.

My review: 5 stars It starts as the usual contemporary story and then the reader is slowly drawn into the paranormal world. I loved the premise and the ease how the author introduced the different characters. Audrey is a hoot! You know the type of spunky grandma full of stories? That is her. Then there is Demetrius LE SIGH loved how gentle he was with Amelia and let her come to terms with entering his world. HEA at its best. Ms. Granger is a new author for me and now that I got a taste of her writing, I will have to check out her other books.

This series chronicles the relationship between Brandy and Tucker, who meet on New Years Eve, at a SEAL wedding. Tucker has been out of the teams for nearly ten years, but reluctantly attends this wedding. He misses his former teammates and the Brotherhood that they share. There he meets Brandy and their instant chemistry continues through all the books in this series, from their wedding, to their eventual new family and home remodel. Tucker remains one of the “Senior” members, one of the most respected “older guys” on SEAL Team 3, but he can still out press and sometimes outrun any of the younger ones.

My review: 5 stars It is so good to be back in Ms. Hamilton’s SEAL world. This time with the older generation. It was great seeing all the characters I came to love in the other series make an appearance in Tucker’s story. And what a story it is. Spanning 5 novellas, the listener (or reader) is following along his journey to HEA, well deserved. He found Brandy when he least expected, just as she found him, that night changed both their lives. Their chemistry is felt throughout and I think intensified throughout the 5 books. I love how vivid the scenes are, being at home or on a mission and it touches so many issues military families deal with while on active duty and after. Mr. Hart did an awesome job as usual, the various characters got their own voices accentuating their temperament, adding the emotional touch for each scene as needed. One of the best one so far. Thank you Ms. Hamilton and Mr. Hart for the very enjoyable hours listening to Tucker and Brandy’s story. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately? Absolutely, she’s amazing! Well, aside from the fact that she only gave me a B-cup bra size. I mean, come on, shouldn’t every middle aged woman with a rocking body be blessed with at least a size C? They are over-rated 😉
What makes you laugh out loud? Pretty much anything whimsically sarcastic.
What is your favourite dessert? Cheeeeeeeesseee Cake! Hands down cheesecake, of every flavor, as often as I can stuff my mouth with it!
What is your favourite drink? There’s this guy that’s way too young for me, yet he won’t leave me alone, and I can’t seem to get him out of my mind. When we first locked eyes, I was wearing a pineapple dress. He remembered that, and left a surprise drink recipe for an amazing pineapple rum punch on my doorstep shortly after. I won’t admit it to him, but I’m obsessed with it. I’ve drank it practically every day! What is the perfect romantic date? Something simple. I care more about who the date is with, and how they handle me afterwards, than I do about the date itself. I agree!
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish? I’m not, no where, not even a little. Sounds weird, I know, but try as you may I won’t even crack a smile.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of? I like anything with a fresh, earthy scent. Rain and pine trees take the cake, but I also love other real natural smells like the ocean breeze, things like that. I like outside air, that when inhaled deeply makes me feel grounded.
When you look at a man what catches your interest? That one’s easy. The width of his shoulders and length of his back. You remember that young guy I was telling you about? Before I ever saw his face, he caught me spying on him during his working out. I was practically drooling all over myself while I watched a single drip of sweat work it’s way down the toned muscles that frame his spine. Even just explaining the moment is causing my thighs to heat and butterflies to swarm my belly. Oh I know what you mean 😉
Do you have somebody in your life now? Just that ^^ guy. I’m still fighting him off though. His name is Blake and although I’ve practically caved into my body’s need of him, I wouldn’t consider myself his… just yet.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series? Nope, my story is a stand alone, and perfectly so. I’d like to keep my future with Blake all to myself. We’re both selfish lovers, so naturally what we do from here on out will be kept between us.

Didi Oviatt is an intuitive soul. She’s a wife and mother first, with one son and one daughter. Her thirst to write was developed at an early age, and she never looked back. After digging down deep and getting in touch with her literary self, she’s writing mystery/thrillers like Search For Maylee, Justice for Belle, Aggravated Momentum, Sketch, and more, along with multiple short story collections. Today starts a series of chat with characters from the upcoming anthology Sinners and Saints, a collection of stories I am looking forward diving in.
Read on to find out how I met my first guest…
A crash of the door opening diverts my attention from the papers I am working on. I look at the open doorway and wonder how it got open. There is no one there. Not only that, but I distinctly remember locking it. This doesn’t make any sense.
As I stand to go to close the door and relock it, a dark haired, blue eyed man walks through and I freeze. My mind doesn’t though. Nor do my eyes as they slowly trace every line of his body from top to bottom. One part of my mind drools, despite the other side warning me that he could be dangerous. This is break and entry, although there is nothing wrong with the door. No, the drooling side of my brain argues, no criminal looks like this. The man’s body is made of granite and he has the face of an angel. I realize I am holding my breath and I let it out on a sigh. I don’t know whom this person is, but his body should be declared illegal. I think to myself, be still my beating heart.
The man with a body that could put a Greek god to shame crosses his arms over a well-honed chest I mentally slap my hands away from. He then drawls.I believe we have an appointment, Eniko.
Appointment? Appointment? What appointment? He knows my name, so I should have some idea who he is, right? I look closely at him and two words form in my mind,Oh my.They aren’t the right ones for the situation and I thank the Fates that I don’t say them out loud. I see the look of expectation on his face and search my mind for something to say. I swallow and manage to squeak out a question,Who are you?
Sagan.He says the word as if it should mean something to me.
Suddenly the name strikes a bell in the back of my head. We did have an appointment, but that was five months ago! I feel a touch of indignation, he might look like he walked out of a wet dream, but he stood me up for one of my appointments. He suddenly doesn’t look that good. Then he moves and I notice he is wearing leather. Damn, but I love leather.
With no regard for propriety, Sagan shrugs off my sudden shock and walks further into the room. The pants move with him like they are a part of his body. DAYUM
I was busy at that time. I had something very important to take care of.Sagan speaks as he sits down on my couch and crosses those long well shaped legs.
I inhale deeply as the scent of leather wafts through the air with his every movement. I so do love leather. Especially when it is surrounding a bitable… I mean lickable… I mean… never mind what I mean. To try to get myself under control I say. It must have been very important to have kept you busy for five months.
Sagan looks suddenly uncomfortable and then admits.I was looking for my lost love. Ele.
I give another sigh. Figures. The man is already involved, just my luck. I continue on.I am to understand by your presence that you found Ele?
Sagan smiled widely and gave a curt nod. I did and I will never allow her to leave my side again.
You could have at least sent me a message to let me know you weren’t coming.I complain. I can’t help it. The man is a keeper and when we are through talking he is going to walk out the door and I will probably never see him again.
Sagan smiles and I watch helplessly as he reaches for me to pull me onto his lap. His voice caresses my senses like the finest velvet. That is alright, fair lady. Five months ago you would not have liked me at all. I am much more civilized than I was then. But to try to make amends for my thoughtlessness, I will send you a surprise.
Only a part of my mind is on what Sagan is saying, the other part is imagining what it would be like to run my fingers through his silky dark hair and down his rock hard abdomen, I mean chest. I hope I didn’t say that aloud. Sagan gives a throaty laugh and I blush. I never blush.
Sagan doesn’t wait for me to reply. He lifts me off of his lap, and smiling widely, he says, I think I know what will make you happy. I will send you that surprise when I get home and remember to.
I ask. What if I don’t like surprises?
Sagan laughs in amusement and assures me. You will like this one.
Aaaargh… Sagan is soooo arrogant. So tell me, how can you be so sure of yourself?
Simple,Sagan replies.I am a god. We know these things.He then rises to his feet and disappears.
I give a huff as I talk to myself in the emptiness of the room. Gods are so full of themselves.
Sagan’s voice suddenly sounds in my mind. You need not worry that I will send you a god. Most of them are fools anyway.
Unlike you?Without Sagan standing in front of me to make me nervous I can be as sarcastic as I feel at the moment.
They are definitely not like me,Sagan replies. Ele knows how lucky she was that I found her. She is happy at my side.
I roll my eyes at Sagan’s arrogance, then remember how he looked in those leather pants. Alright, I admit. Ele probably does and is, I will admit that much. But he is still extremely full of himself.
I blush again as I hear Sagan’s laughter and his renewed promise. I will send you something very special.
There is silence after that and I know this time Sagan is gone for sure. I race to my desk to write everything down before I forget it. I have actually interviewed a god! My mind then lingers on how those leather pants clung to him and I sigh as a crystal vase with two-dozen perfect sunset roses appear on my desk. How did he know? The smell of leather is quickly erased by the fragrance of these beautiful flowers. I smile as I remove one from the vase and wonder what Sagan is going to send me.

Ele is a powerful goddess in her own right, so she doesn’t worry about her safety as her sisters think she should. She is beautiful in ways that catches the wrong type attention. In order to keep her safe, her sisters blackmail a god from another world to take Ele into his care. Sagan is a warrior god on his planet and every bit as powerful as Ele. He is also the epitome of what every woman thinks a god should look like. Without seeing Ele, he promises to keep her safe and keep his distance. After seeing Ele, he doubts if he can keep his word.

My review: 5 stars A different type of story than what I am used to from the author, jokingly told her… Not bad for not having Elves in it 😛 All joking aside, it was engaging, and it has a HEA, very important! Sagan is a hero that grows on you, he wins Ele’s heart and she tames him, capturing his heart and soul. Their journey has twists and at times I didn’t think they will make it, but they do! YAY
