Cover Reveal – Hidden Treasures by M. A. Abraham

Hello and welcome!

I am excited to reveal the cover I created for book 2 of the Drakaina series. I hope you like it.

They are hunted from the moment of their birth, their parents, and all of the Drakes will fight to the death to protect them.

Sequestered on an island with the young girls, Nonnie teaches these Hidden Treasures.

They will grow powerful as they age, enough to challenge the world, and their mates, as they forge new paths into the future for their people.

For they are Drakaina, and they will survive.

If you read ‘Vengeance Has A Daughter‘, you know this book will be another exciting journey in the Drakaina’ lives’s world. Or maybe you listened to it? If you didn’t, what are you waiting for? Narrated by Jennifer Blom who did an amazing job.

I guess it is so much easier to create a cover when you read the story and I can tell you that it is a great read and loooove the ending. I can’t wait for the audiobook! There will be an audiobook, right Ms. Abraham?

I do not have a release date yet, but will make sure you are informed and maybe will get to chat with somebody from that world 😉

Elven Chronicles by M. A. Abraham on sale!

Hello and welcome!

My fave author has the Elven Chronicles series on sale! ALL OF IT for the very first time.

12 novels & 9 short stories!

So if you have not read them yet, now is the time to do it! Click on the picture to go to the buy links on the website.

If you are subscribed to my blog or read a few of the posts, you are aware I am an Elfanatic! I love the world, the characters and their stories. It has been a few years since the series ended and I along with the many fans of Ms. Abraham’s Elven world have been emotionally connected to one character or another, cheered with each triumph and wept at each loss they suffered.

Since the fans asked, begged, demanded, pleaded … more series were born 😉

  • One Empire – that deals with the times right after the last book in the Elven Chronicles, where the Elves rebuild the war-torn areas – there will be 6 books…. starts with ‘Rising from the Ashes’ , a short story that starts us into the series and there are also 3 novels out so far.
  • Guardians of the Empire – where we learn about 12 of the best warriors from the royal families of the Elven Empire – there will be 12 books… starts with ‘The Goddess’, and there are 6 novels and 2 short stories out so far.
  • Elven Legends – where the fans asked to find out more about their fave character. One of the most popular characters is Gabriel who we get to know better in ‘The Eagle Claw Legend’.
  • To Love an Elf – I jokingly ( not really 😉 ) complained to author that she always gave away the Elf I claimed as mine, so she gave me my own Life Mate, Athiän, LE SIGH… YAY Then the author decided to give a LM to more of her biggest fans. So far there are 2 stories, mine “To Love and Elven Lord” and Fran’s, a good friend of ours that was one of the biggest fans of Ms. Abraham’s books, “To Love and Elven Healer”. They were part of anthologies, but I hope they will be released on their own soon too. Check out this post. Two more are in the works for 2 more of her biggest fans and more will be chosen soon.
  • more coming 😉

Please comment with what you are hoping to see next from the author from the open series or just a few words of encouragement for Ms. Abraham. We all needs those sometimes, right?

Until next time, happy reading / listening!

Cover Reveal – Blood Vows – Surprise Chat with the twins DAYUM

I hadn’t even had a chance to get out of my vehicle when a couple of men walked up to the side of the car, and boy were they easy on the eyes. I haven’t seen bodies on men like these since I met Thorn. Bite me, but I couldn’t resist the temptation to check them out. Tall, dark, and handsome… triple check. Eyes you could get lost in… check. Shoulders like a linebacker… yup, and double yup. Abs you could use as a scrub board… and then some. Narrow hips, large hands… gotta love a man with large… hands.

“Lady Enikö?” A deep rumbling voice spoke from outside of the window. Did I dare roll down the window and talk to these men? They exuded danger from every pore.

I sigh, might as well, I take one more discerning look at them and my hands begin to itch. Ahem. Right. Talk, no touching.

Anyway, I have to get out of the car anyway, so I open the door and exit as I ask, “Who wants to know?”

Both men bow as they introduce themselves.

“I am Lyon.”

“And I am his brother, Dyon.”

“We hale from the story of ‘Blood Vows’ your friend is writing at the moment and have a few questions.”

“I am not sure I can help with those, M.A. hasn’t given me much insight into the story beyond saying she is past the middle of the book.”

“And she just threw me a curve, just when I felt I had reached my objective.” Lyon grumbles.

“Yes, she tends to do things like that.”

“Could you get her to make things a little easier on my brother?” Dyon asks.

“I don’t know if that is going to help,” I admit.

“I can make it worth your while,” Dyon suggests with a purr to his voice.

Thoughts of satin sheets and sweaty bodies run through my mind and I correct myself. Down girl, remember, Athïan. “Sorry,” (boy am I sorry, and in more ways than one). I am surrounded by too much testosterone. “I am already taken.”

Lyon snickers at Dyon and I get the impression he would stick his tongue out at his brother given the chance and the right place. To me he bows and speaks, “Well, at least consider helping me. Kayla has not been an easy person to win over, and I would like to keep her to myself, not allow others to steal her from me.”

He hands me an envelope, then they leave. I check out how they look walking away from me too. Dyon looks over his shoulder, and winks.

I open the envelope and … SQUEEEE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If your thought was ‘DAYUM’, we think alike 😜 Those two would make a gal forget her name if she lets her guard down.
Lyon and Dyon hail from the WIP of M. A. Abraham and what I told the gorgeous men is true, she didn’t tell me much and my hands are itching to get my hands on the finished story. From what I read so far, I think it will be one to rival ‘Aura’, which you might know it is my fave from the author’s standalone stories.
I am happy to show you what Lyon handed to me. It is the cover of ‘Blood Vows’ and you see it here first.
Brother and sister, they made promises and would honor their dying father’s last wish.
Kayllan
The young Prince who became King at an early age. Unknown to anyone, he made a pact with his best friend, a blood vow not even death could break.
Kayla
Born twice royal, she will become Queen, trained to rule a nation, also to become some man’s wife. She never expected to make promises to a dying brother. She would do as he decreed, and do so proudly, but she didn’t know the full extent of it all.
Lyon
First born in his lands, he rules as King, and he has vowed to protect Kayllan’s sister, to marry her and rule at her side if Kayllan dies early. He never expected her to be a beauty, she astounds him with her inner strength.
She knows nothing of his vow to her brother, but he vows she will, and then she will be his.
Isn’t it beautiful? Created by Cora Graphics, whose talents are known all over the world. I know it will fit the story well.
No release date yet, but you will know when I do. Make sure you sign up to get my posts in your inbox.
Surprise visit from 2 gods *gasp*
Hello and welcome!
As the title discloses, I did have 2 gods visit last night. Read on to find out who 😉
—————-
I could hear the sounds of male laughter coming from the end of the hallway as I exited the elevator, and I smiled. I didn’t know where it was coming from, but I was certain someone in the building wouldn’t be happy to hear how loud it was. I could think of some neighbours and I hope they were irritated by the raucous laughter.
As I got closer to home it seemed like the noise was coming from my place. Impossible. No one was home. I hear my cellphone ring and I answer, it’s my upstairs neighbours.
“Do you think you can hold down the racket? Some of us like to rest when we get home from work.”
“Wrong neighbour, I am just getting home from work now.” I hang up.
Despite saying this, I have to admit it sounds like there’s a party happening on the north other side of the door as I insert the key and open it.
Oh. My. I am not going to complain, especially if my apartment is left in this condition. I look around at the open room concept and sigh. Good Housekeeping magazine, eat your heart out. Not only does my house look like it belongs in a photoshoot, but in the living room there’s two of the most drool worthy men I have ever seen.
They sense my appearance, turn to me, and smile. I stifle a moan. They stand and introduce themselves.
I am Sagan, and this is Riel, my brother.
I am Eniko, and… I look around, still stunned.
The smiles on their faces widen.
We hope you don’t mind our redecorating your apartment. We will put it back before we leave. Oh yes, we also brought some wine from our home planet to share with you. Unfortunately we can’t leave that behind either.
Why not? I am getting the short end of the stick here. This isn’t fair.
If the management saw this, you wouldn’t be able to afford your rent. If someone saw the bottles, you would have even worse trouble.
So, come join us, relax and enjoy this while you can.
I have a mischievous thought run through my head, Can we continue to bug the neighbours without letting them know where the noise is coming from?
Even better, they can come see this for themselves. They will then go report what they saw. By the time the powers that be come to investigate, everything will be back to normal. It will make everyone think they are on something.
I can’t help but smile, what a diabolical plan. I walk into the room to join them and the two wing chairs turn into a cozy couch. Sagan reaches out to hand me a golden goblet of wine, and the fragrance of a freshly prepared meal comes from the kitchen area. A glass centrepiece glows, lit within by a candle that smells heavenly. It is decorated with star flowers. I can hear the sounds of an Elven choir in the distance. I accept the goblet and Sagan pats the spot between him and his brother.
We will set the atmosphere, and then leave you and Athiän to enjoy your time together. Until he gets here, however, we can enjoy ourselves. So, I ask you, which of we looks the hottest?
What a hard question, and I am not willing to pick between them, they are both gorgeous. I also know certain Goddesses that will have my hide if I would even think to hit on their men. And besides Athiän is coming SQUEEEE
Wait! How do you know about Athiän?
I get twin male laughs in answer as they disappear from my living room. Then Athiän appears in their stead and takes me into his arms. Use your imagination to figure out what happens next 😉
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So? What do you think?

Sagan and Riel hail from “The Temple / The Fortress” by  M. A. Abraham released today!

CONGRATS Ms. Abraham!

“The Temple” was part of an anthology and now republished as a duet with a continuation in “The Fortress”.

cover designed by me 😉

The Temple

Ele is a powerful goddess in her own right, so she doesn’t worry about her safety as her sisters think she should. She is beautiful in ways that catches the wrong type attention. In order to keep her safe, her sisters blackmail a god from another world to take Ele into his care.
Sagan is a warrior god on his planet and every bit as powerful as Ele. He is also the epitome of what every woman thinks a god should look like. Without seeing Ele, he promises to keep her safe and keep his distance. After seeing Ele, he doubts if he can keep his word.

The Fortress

As Ele welcomes her sisters to her new home, Sagan senses a familiar disruption in the ether on his planet. It doesn’t take him long to discover the reason, or to meet the twin he never knew existed before this.
As a god of chaos, Tash, is intent on creating discord wherever he goes. Telling Riel who he is was supposed to cause a war between brothers, instead Riel bonds with Sagan. He then takes a look at one of Ele’s sisters and falls in love. This isn’t anything Tash will allow to go unchallenged. He will go to any length to get his way despite the odds.

the original covers I created for the two stories

My review for “The Temple”: 5 stars
A different type of story than what I am used to from the author, jokingly told her… Not bad for not having Elves in it  😛 All joking aside, it was engaging, and it has a HEA, very important! Sagan is a hero that grows on you, he wins Ele’s heart and she tames him, capturing his heart and soul. Their journey has twists and at times I didn’t think they will make it, but they do! YAY

My review for “The Fortress”: 5 stars
The blurb you read on this one doesn’t even cover a fraction of the happenings in this story. So much is happening and so interesting as the story unfolds, more twists that the usual from the author. There are Ele and Sagan who you meet in the first story, then we meet the sneaky Tash, I wanted to smack him many times. Then the surprise reveal of another one, the plots and schemes only deities are capable of. This story will keep you engaged even if you are not into this type of story. The end is happy in many ways, a few more surprises, and all get what they deserve.

My Chat with Tyndal!

Hello and welcome!

I was surprised by today’s guest and I can’t wait for you to meet her. Read on!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Special delivery, a muffled woman’s voice sounds through the door.
A moment later there is a knock that sounds like it was done with the toe of a shoe. Does it make sense? No. But I am beginning to get used to things like this, it comes from being associated with M.A.
I open the door and a gorgeous blonde shoves a huge bouquet of fragrant yellow roses into my arms as she breezes through the doorway.
So glad I didn’t have to do that twice. You have any idea how bulky a could dozen roses are? Not to mention the other gifts that were sent to you from those who know you at home.
Gifts? Others? Who? What? I don’t understand.
I don’t need to say a thing.
I am Tyndal, and I know you haven’t met me yet, but I have heard a lot about you.
Actually, I grin as I bury my nose in the flowers. I have heard quite a lot about you in the past, and I expect to hear more about you in the future.
Which is why I came to see you. I want to clear this up before any of it begins to take place. To have that happen, we have to light a fire under M.A.’s butt or she will never get anything done. Any ideas?
I watch, as Tyndal seems to have taken possession of my home. She reaches into the cupboard and pulls out the largest vase I possess, even as she motions for me to bring the flowers to her. It only takes her a few moments to prep them to go into the water. As she puts the finishing touches on the placement of the blooms, she adds,
Rhys picked these from our garden only this morning. It is why they smell so good and look so fresh. He said they would fit the theme and you would love that.
Theme? Theme for what? I still haven’t found my voice. It doesn’t seem to matter.
I thought you would like these.
Tyndal hands me a box that has to weigh no less than five pounds. I open the top and a golden sheet of film floats into the air. Inside the bottom is layer after layer of truffles nestled in golden wrappers. Have I ever mentioned how much I like truffles?
I look up at Tyndal as she places the vase on my cluttered table, and as she turns to pick up a stack of white boxes that are tied in tiered fashion together.
Without missing a beat, Tyndal continues to talk as she pulls the bow that keeps the packages in place. She then pulls several plates out of the cupboard, and places each of the contents of the boxes onto their own platters.
Lemon meringue tarts. Lemon slices, Lemon chiffon cake, and not to be outdone, Lemon cheesecake with a blueberry garnish. The girls thought you would like a few treats. And yes, they can be frozen if there are too many.
I finally gather my wits enough to speak, I am overwhelmed. To be honest, I thought that now that the Daughters of the Valley Trilogy is over that I wouldn’t be hearing anything more from the other side.
Who said anything is over?
Tyndal asked.
Well, I assumed, since it’d been forever! I exclaim.
As Tyndal helped herself to a bottle of cold water, she waves a forefinger at me and replies,
Never assume. Nothing is over. In fact, now that the boys are home, things are just beginning to warm up. I have to admit, they are some of the most broody men I have had the misfortune to hang around with. They weren’t that way when they were here. Well, maybe Lucifer was, but he has taken his frustration to a whole new level. I swear, that man needs to get laid. But there is hope for him, as you will find out when M.A. gets caught up with her backlog. You really need to ride that woman’s butt to get her motivated. The ‘Sons of the Valley’ will never get written if she continues to mope the way she does.
Tyndal looks at her watch and sighs,
I have to run, it was nice talking with you. Do you mind if I take the bottle with me? Thank you, and see you again, perhaps next year. Or, if I can’t make it, perhaps I will send Lucifer… that should be lots of fun… black roses, dark chocolate truffles, Devil’s food cake.
Tyndal laughs, and moments later she is gone. Behind her she leaves the fragrances of lemon pastry, Yellow roses, and expensive chocolate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hope you enjoyed the chat as much as I did.

Tyndal hails from ‘Tyndal’ a novella from the the ‘Daughters of the Valley’ series by M. A. Abraham.

As Angelika’s godmother and a member of an organization called “The Angels”, Tyndal has followed in her family’s footsteps in the outside world. Their place is to make the world a better place to live. Her time to continue her work has come to an end. In helping Angelika Leanne return to her home world, she has made a deadly enemy, one that will do whatever it takes to learn her secrets.

When Tyrus receives news that Tyndal has been injured, he goes to her rescue, his friend, Rhys, follows him. To Rhys’ surprise, he falls in love with the woman he is about to meet. They, however, come from different worlds. Or do they?

My review: 5 stars

I was so excited when I heard that Tyndal will be getting her story as I fell in love with her character since she appeared in the ‘Daughters of the Valley’ series.
The author didn’t disappoint in giving Tyndal the take-charge-independent-fearless traits she is known for giving her heroines. I am glad she is not alone anymore, she found her mate in Rhys, but their journey to HEA is dangerous and lots of surprises, some good, some bad, are thrown their way, and the readers’ too 😉
Will also get to know more about the Angels organization that Tyndal is part of.
I sure enjoyed the read and I am looking forward to the next adventure in the Valley and hopefully will get to meet more Angels.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So there will be another trilogy with the Sons of the Valley SQUEEEE as my guest confirmed and here is a small excerpt from her book that made me think there will be more.
“Did you think your people were the only ones with secrets? Those you will be privy to are not only going to shock you, but make you question what you thought you knew about your world. Not everything is how it seems. Keep that in mind and know there are more hands at work here than it seems.” Lucifer told Tyrus.
“Are you talking about the underground organization of people living in the world that comes from other dimensions? If so, we have known about them for a long time already,” Tyrus informed Lucifer. “We have a connection to a few and even know that there isn’t one Angel that didn’t originate from beyond one of the portals.”
Lucifer grinned as he commented, “Someone has been talking.”
NEW RELEASE! Fire Bonded
There is a slight noise outside of my door, something I think is rather weird as it is the middle of the night. I rub the sleep out of my eyes, and despite my common sense telling me to ignore whatever is happening, I have a feeling that it is important that I don’t. I open the door, and there is a package sitting there. For me? There is also no sign of anyone who would be the delivery person… no surprise there, couriers tend to hit and run. But, not in the middle of the night.
Picking up the box, I bring it into the apartment to see who it is from. All it has on it is my name in bold Elvish scroll. Dozens of questions crowd into my mind.
I read the lettering on the side, it tells me to put the package on its side with the opening facing me. I do this, then unfold the flaps on the box to look inside. There is nothing. Well, not totally nothing, it looks like a scene from a forest inside. I smile. This has to come from Athïan. Yet, there is no sign of starflowers inside, not by sight or smell. A single sentence appears out of nowhere.
I speak the word and a strange glow enters the room. I am suddenly in the box, or so it feels. The woods surround me, and I am in awe of what I am seeing. It has the look of the Elven Empire, and the feel of it, yet I know I am somewhere entirely different. Where am I?
As I touch the flowers that surround me, 18 elves seem to appear out of nowhere. They look friendly, and 14 are vaguely familiar.
We thought it would be easier to bring you here than to all crowd into your apartment. There are so many of us. The first Elf speaks.
We wanted to thank you for bing such help, and to give you a present, one of the women add.
Athïan? I can’t help but wonder if he put them up to it as he has played such a big part of this type of thing in the past.
One of the women gives a shake to her head to let me know this isn’t the case. Not this time. This time it is only us. You see, it was your spirit that we felt guiding our actions through parts of our quest. We wanted you to know that although the journey has been perilous, the end was worth fighting for. We are happy in a way we never have been.
A basket floats across the distance between us to land at our feet. It is full, I can tell by the way it bulges, but I can’t see what is in it. I bend to open it, so I know what I have been given, but I am warned away. It is not to be opened in this world, but in mine.
We will be leaving now, One of the Elves in the group warns.
But I don’t have any answers, I cry out. Surely you won’t leave me not knowing what is going on.
They laugh as one assures me, Of course we would, for now. We may never meet again, but there will be others. We will not forsake you or yours. As quickly as they appeared, they are gone. I am no longer in the box, but there is a basket before me. It says,  ‘Do no open until Christmas’Do I dare? My hands itch, but my mind hesitates. These are Elves I am dealing with, and most of them are either Eagle Claws, or others who are related to them. Do. I. Dare?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Can you guess if I did? Can you guess what’s in it?

Anyway… 4 of the Elves I met are from book 4 of the Elven Sentinel Series by M. A. Abraham.

Lyra and Raine live on a mountain, next to a ski resort where they teach snow sports on a daily basis. It’s a perfect foil for two Ice Elves who are Guardians of the last portal. Things get interesting when Telion and Riven arrive to escort the two women who are their Life Mates to the Elven Empire. There they find that not only is the portal weak, but inaccessible. As things turn from bad to worse, they are left with no choice but to travel to the deep north to find Pianth.

They are about to find out this is the least of their concerns, for even when they finish with their task, they learn the Elven Empire is preparing to go on a move that is bonded by fire.

My review: 5 stars

The series has been great so far and this last book is no different. I love reading the stories Ms. Abraham weaves, especially the ones that have Elves in it 😉 This one is a short ones as were the other 3 in the series, but didn’t feel short as it packs a punch with the two couples trying to get to their destination and out of the human world before is too late. A perilous journey to say the least and one vengeful greedy woman on their heels. I loved the ending and I am sure you will too, as it hints at things to come and being an Elfanatic, I can’t wait!

Surprised by visitors from Tantalus

Hello and welcome!

Read on my surprise visit I got yesterday.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A knock on my door gives warning that I am about to have guests, and considering the time of the day, I assume it isn’t just anyone. I open the door and can’t stop the squeal of delight I give. “Kyllan!”
It has been ages.
I quickly open the door wider to allow Kyllan to come in, and note that he is being followed by an Elf, or someone I assume is an Elf. What is this about?
Kyllan opens his arms and invites me in for a hug, which I am more than glad to accept, as well as return. It has been entirely too long since we have met, Eniko. I am glad to see you again.
I agree, I reply, as I watch the man behind Kyllan. The Elf is gorgeous, but not the way Loth is. He is cheeky though, as he smiles at me before winking.
Kyllan catches the wink and frowns as he turns to make the introduction. “This is the newest member of our Tantalarian planet, or at least should I say the newest of many whom I have gotten to know about. I have come here to solicit your help. His name is Raven.
I hold out my hand to shake Raven’s and he smiles openly as he bows, takes my hand in his and presses a kiss to my knuckles. What a charming friend you have, Kyllan. You didn’t mention that we were travelling to meet such a gracious and charming lady.
I clear my throat, recognizing an act when I see one. Raven’s actions make me wonder what is going on here. I know how to play this though. Welcome to my home, Raven. Please come in, can I get you two some refreshments?
Kyllan smiles and answers with a smile that tells me he is amused and can see right through me. I frown at him and send him a thought, It isn’t polite to peek.
Kyllan replies, “You are broadcasting.In a more vocal manner, he adds, You know what I like.
I definitely do, but how about your friend, Raven? I wonder.
Raven’s eyes narrow slightly as he also smiles and answers, I prefer my water as fresh from a spring stream as I can get it.
I falter for a moment then nod, I can see what I can do, but distilled is probably as close to that as I can get.
Raven replies, I am sure it will be perfect, coming from you.
The man is up to something. He is being too obviously charming. I toss Kyllan a quick glance and send him a question, What is this all about?
Kyllan quells a grin as he answers me telepathically, I am not sure, I was hoping you could help me ferret the answer out of Raven.
As I place the bottles of cold water before Kyllan, Raven, and myself, I begin my interrogation, I am assuming that as you are with Kyllan, Raven, that M.A. had something to do with you meeting each other.
Raven gives no indication that he knows what I am talking about, M.A.?
Alright, now I know for sure I am being stonewalled. M.A. Abraham, the one who writes about Tantalus?
Ahh,Raven gives a nod of recognition, then takes a drink. I know of her, and yes, she did introduce Kyllan and I. However, she didn’t mention much about anyone from Earth. I assume we are on the planet Earth. Kyllan didn’t tell me where we were heading, but I know something about this system. The Phoenixes tell us much about the different world that surround Tantalus.
I reply, I am assuming she hasn’t done a lot of talking about you to anyone else though. Can you tell me why?
As I talk to Raven I can’t help but appreciate the view, shoot me, I am still breathing and he is stacked. He is also the polar opposite to Loth in coloring, having dark chestnut hair, bright blue eyes, and the type of physique a woman can appreciate. Oh yes, he is also dressed in leather from top to bottom.
Raven gives a shrug as he answers, The Phoenixes only tell what they want a person to know. I cannot tell you much more than that.
It looks like Raven is going to be a tough nut to crack. I ask, How long have you known about Tantalus and the Phoenixes?
Raven is open as he answers, All of my life.
I have to ask, Why is it that no one on Tantalus has mentioned you before?
Raven is vague in his response. We just met, so I assume the Phoenix didn’t tell them about us.
Would you like to fill us in on what we have been missing?I ask as I watch Raven drink the water and sigh. How do Elves make even the simplest things look sexy?
Raven finishes off the bottle and replies, You can ask, but I have no intention of telling you any more at this time than I did Kyllan. You can read about how we get to meet in ‘People of the Phoenix’ though. Perhaps the story will provide you with the answers you are seeking.Raven then shrugs as shoulder as he adds, Then again, perhaps it won’t. I do believe we have to leave now though. The mothership will be coming around again and we can’t afford to miss it. Am I right Kyllan?
Kyllan frowns and replies, Unfortunately, you are. I am sorry I can’t stay longer, but we can’t afford to leave Tantalus visible for any length of time. I am sure you understand, Eniko. I will return at a later date though.
As I stand, I answer, I will hold you to that promise.
This time Kyllan walks out onto my balcony, wraps his arms around Raven, and as he jumps into the air he spreads his great wings and takes to the sky. Kyllan and Raven are gone for now, but I can be sure they will be back, and I will be waiting to find out what this is about.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well? What do you think? Did it pique your interest?

If you read my posts before, you know Kyllan hails from the Tantalus series by one of my fave authors, M. A. Abraham.

Raven hails from “People of the Phoenix“, book 0.5, the intro in the new spin-off series “Tantalus United“, continuing the saga from the Tantalus series.

As Tantalus begins to come back to life from the ice age it went through, the population of Tantalus labour to create their idea of Utopia. They don’t realize there is more to this land than what they know.

Trysuil is haunted by a feeling of being excluded by the Phoenixes, something that should not be happening. He is the Adjudicator, he should be a part of what is going on in this developing world.

Under the command of The Great Phoenix, the favoured people of the Phoenix travel the girth of the planet to return to their homelands. It is time they were introduced to their new neighbours and returned to the outside world. They have lived in Sanctuary for long enough.

The ways are challenging and the tests they face, as they search for their identity to retake their place on the planet are many. Will they be able to reach their goal when so many obstacles stand in their way?

My review: 5 stars

My dream became true, my two favourite worlds created by Ms. Abraham combined, I actually squealed in excitement when I found out. Elves are on Tantalus! YAY

The Elves have been on Tantalus, relocating to a better region and go through many trials getting there. Being shielded by the Phoenix, they remain a mystery that frustrates the rest of the Tantalus population, The Great Phoenix is not being forthcoming which made me question it for a while.

Being the giving type, all those living on Tantalus unite and jump in to help when is needed. Went through many emotions while reading this story, it had a good ending. Left me curious how the new world of Tantalus will progress going forward.

If you like fantasy and sci-fi genres, I recommend this story with 5 stars.

Surprised by the Elven Sentinels – September edition

Hello and welcome!

This happened to me yesterday… read on!

There is music being played in the halls of my apartment building? That is a first, and oh what beautiful music. It is like nothing I have ever heard. As the doors of the elevator leading to my apartment open I hear the cadence of the song change as the instrumental is joined by the most beautiful voices. I have a hard time believing this sound comes from a human throat. I exit the elevator and look down the hall to where I live, I am right. There are 3 Elven men standing before my doorway. All 3 had light blonde hair, were lithe, but powerfully built, and the distinctive silver-blue eyes of the Eagle Claw family. I wonder who they were related to that I already new, because I don’t remember meeting these three men in the past.

As I approach them, the first of the trio steps forward and bows. When he stood once more, he presented me with two-dozen perfectly formed white roses,

These are from one whose love is true. I am Goldier.

As Goldier stepped back a second Elf takes his place, bows and presents me with two dozen red roses, as he speaks,

These are from one whose passion is only exceeded by his devotion. My name is Falcon.

Falcon takes the keys to my apartment out of my hand as he steps back and opens the door. The third Elf is the one who was playing a harp that provided the background music. Without stopping his performance, he stated,

The music I play was created to wrap the love a Life Mate felt for his love. Yours sends the melody to you. I have been asked to play it for you from yours.

I walk through the doorway and into my apartment and find it filled with starflowers. Three Elven maidens are busily setting a meal on a shiny mahogany table, there are many covered plates. There are two chairs set behind it, side-by-side. The three girls smile, then break into giggles as one steps forward to speak.

I am Jenna, these other two are Julia, and Alissa. We have brought you fruits of our labors.

Julia and Alissa present me with desserts made with Mutzu apples. My fave, I have not seen these often since leaving my homeland decades ago. On the table there is a bowl filled with them to be enjoyed at my leisure. I pick one up and smell it, its fragrance makes my mouth water. Then Jenna continued,

We grew them for you in our orchard, and your Lord asked us to bring them to you.

I look around at how my apartment has been transformed. The air is heavily fragranced with the scents of the flowers that I hold and those that surround us. And I am sure about what is yet to come. First, however, I must thank these Elves for serving as messengers.

I can’t believe you came all this way to do this for me. I presume you are the ones who were in the orchard in ‘Air Bonded’.

Julia answered,

We were, but that part of our lives is done. However, when we returned home to find Lord Athïan looking so glum, we thought we would give him a bit of help to reach out to the one he is missing so much.

Jenna explained further,

We thought it was only fair, as we are together with our Life Mates.

Goldier smiled as he added,

We will serve you and your Lord as you share a meal. As the evening progresses, we will leave the two of you some privacy. In the meantime, enjoy the music, and the company of the one you love.

A golden light glows as Athïan walked into the room through a doorway that is wreathed in hundreds of starflowers. He holds his arms out to me, and I drop the roses as I run to embrace him.

Athïan!

I’ll leave the rest to your imagination 😉 Hope you enjoyed the part I revealed though.

They hails from book 3 of the Elven Sentinel Series by M. A. Abraham.

Jenna, Julia, and Alissa are three orphans who were taken in by an elderly couple. The land they live on has been theirs for centuries, it is where they have stood guard over one of the last few portals in existence. They can see the nimbus that marks its location from their farmhouse, and like the others of their calling, they refuse to leave it untended.

Riehl, Goldier, and Falcon know what and who they are looking for. Disguised as apple pickers, the Elven males arrive to find their Life Mates being held at gunpoint. The weapons the enemy is using is beyond their experience and they will have to handle the situation with great care and without exposing their Life Mates to even more danger.

My review: 5 stars

A great addition to the series. As it usually happens when I enter any Ms. Abraham’s worlds, especially the Elven world, I got lost in this story and was not able to put it down. The evil is not fully defeated, but suffers a major loss and the story ended on a happy note with the Life Mates claiming each other. 3 more happy couples added to the Elven Empire 😀
I am looking forward to the next instalment when the Elves finally (hopefully?) end the evil taking root in the human world for good.

Surprised by the Elven Sentinels

I am shelving my books after receiving another box full of them from my awesome friend while listening to an audiobook when a soft knock interrupts. I frown… now what? I thought I would have the day to myself.

The chagrin I had felt at the thought of unheralded visitors turns to one of glee as I open my door to reveal two beautiful Elven men, and they have their mates beside them. Yes, I know, I mention the women second, but hey, the eye-candy is so drool worthy. Just my type, tall, good-looking, and male. Elves has such an advantage over the rest of us. So not fair.

As I smile, I tease, Hi, are you here to take me with you to the Elven Empire?

I get no answer, other than laughter, then one speaks. We came to bring some of the last Portal Sentinels home to the Empire. I am Hawk, my friend is Adriel, and we wanted you to meet our Life Mates before we left your part of the world. Please meet Caia and Thea.

I step aside and invite them in, Please, enter. Perhaps I can interest you in some tea, coffee, cake, cookies, or an adoption.

Caia cocked her head a bit as she allowed Thea to enter first and asked, Adoption?

Yes, I reply, I am an honorary Elf looking for a way home too.

Thea and Caia laugh. We understand and don’t blame you for wanting to go home. It isn’t always possible though.

Thea then holds up a bakery box and says, I was sent with a message from Gabriella. She says she will see you soon, and has sent you something you might like.

As Thea puts it down, I take a peek through the cover, Black Forest Cake.

Adriel comes up behind me, and placing an arm across my shoulders, he offers me another box. As he does, he leans over and whispers into my ear, Cherry Cheese Cakes with toasted coconut garnish around the sides, it is to die for, just as you are.

My eyes grow wide, and shoot up to him, I didn’t think male Elves spoke to others like that after they were bonded.

Caia rolled her eyes, Once a flirt, always a flirt. Don’t listen to them. They are all promise and no delivery. Well, except to us. But you know all about that.

As Caia spoke, Hawk’s expression went blank, a moment later he explains. We have to go, time is running out for us. I am sorry we couldn’t spend more time with you, leaving so fast wasn’t something we had thought to do. Perhaps we will meet again in the future.

They didn’t even leave through the door, but used a portal that suddenly appeared before them. I admit, I was tempted to jump through with them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So what do you think? Should I have jumped after them? Maybe I could have surprised Athïan 😉
If you don’t know who these are is because their book just released an hour ago.
CONGRATS to M. A. Abraham!
They hail from Book 2 of the Elven Sentinel Series by M. A. Abraham.
As Hawk and Adriel settle into their search for two Sentinel Guardians known to be in the coastal area, they join a game of volleyball on the beach. Little do they know they are about to meet their Life Mates. They are also the Guardians they had been sent to locate and take to the Elven Empire.
Caia and Thea guard one of the last three remaining portals that allow passage from one side of the Boundary to the other. Caia and Thea know they are being hunted by an ancient foe, but they refuse to leave their posts, not even by imperial command from the emperor.
While the Life Mates begin to get to know each other, the enemy is closing in. As this happens, new information comes to light, and the services of higher powers are called in to help.
The Elven Sentinel Series
Book 1, Earth Bonded released March 23, 2021 and is available at your favourite e-store.
As with Earth Bonded, I enjoyed reading Water Bonded too. I recommend with 5 stars. In her usual unforgettable style, Ms. Abraham brings us into the world of her beloved Elves, but with a twist… it all happens in the human world. As the Elves get ready to leave the Empire grounds (see the Guardians of the Empire series 😉 ), they have to make sure they are not leaving anybody behind and they find some in unexpected places. I can assure you, it will be an interesting, funny, suspenseful ride as Hawk and Adriel find and help the Sentinels they go to retrieve.
