Hello and welcome!
Today we celebrate 5 years since ‘Gabriel’, book 1 of the Elven Chronicles was released to the world.
CONGRATS M. A. ABRAHAM!

5 years later and 12 full novels & 9 short stories make up the Elven Chronicles! An epic series you should not miss!
For this occasion I asked a few of the fans of the series to share with me their impressions of Gabriel.
But first I would like to introduce Gabriel to those of you who have not met him yet.

Gabriel Eagle Claw is the High Lord General of the Combined Elven Armies in the Elven Chronicles by M. A. Abraham. He plays a big part in the series and is adored by many. I came to really-really like him, especially after reading the last book in the series, “Kings of the Empire” released last month.

His Life Mate is Eden, a powerful Tratchar, a special title held by Elves of extreme power focused on the health and welfare of the Great Guardian and the Sentinel Trees of the Elven Empire.

Here is my impression of Gabriel when I first read it, way before it was published, sent in an email to MA…

Subject: Gabriel
Hello Mary Ann!
I finished Gabriel and I am looking forward to getting Marious. You have a wonderful imagination and it should be shared with a lot of people, but I am glad you decided to share with me. I think the story is wonderful, lots of twists and turns, unexpected surprises…. I loved it because it had a range of emotion triggers, especially the humour, and I find it an easy reading, just enough descriptions without getting boring.
In the end I found myself hungry for more. I hope you will continue the story line.
I would love to read any of your stories.
Hugs
The response I got: “I am working on Marious and there are 3 others that follow”
Here is my review for ‘Gabriel’
5 stars – I am definitely an Elfanatic!
I haven’t read too many books of elves and the ones I read were portraying elves as evil or at least not very nice. Gabriel’s book opened another world which portrays elves in a totally different light, as any other supernatural beings, with the good and the bad. I really enjoyed the book, with its complex and varied characters and at the same time easy to read, just enough descriptive scenes without getting overwhelmed. I look forward to the next ones in the series. I highly recommend the book, even if you are not into elven books.
You can check what other people had to say about it since it released on line in reviews left on various portals.
From the author:
The idea of Gabriel popped into my head about 2 weeks after my mother died. For whatever reason I picked up a pen and started to write.
It had never been my intention to write more than Gabriel‘s story, but by the time it was finished, ‘Marious’ Story’ had been born, ‘King’s Champion’ took flight when Serenity showed up on the scene. Gabriel, as a character kept growing until he seemed to grow bigger than life to me. It was something I felt that only an Elf could do. In many ways, I felt that the expectations that others had of him were enough to bring anything less than the strongest of men to their knees. Bringing him to life, along with the others who surround him was quite a trip. Keeping him humble was a challenge.
The impressions from the fans of the series:
“This was my first foray into the Elven world and I was astonished how much I loved it. What a wonderful and intriguing story this is and I loved the characters. Gabriel became my Elven book boyfriend! Oh and Eden, what a beautiful spitfire she is but a very loyal soul! I couldn’t wait to read the next intriguing story – I was hooked.” ~ Betty ~
“I was pulled into this world and loved the characters and the world Mary Ann built for them, and didn’t want to leave it. At first I was pulled more to Marious in the story but by the end I was in love with Gabriel, he and Eden have remained my favorite couple through out the series. I had a very hard time reading another book after this one, and had the same problem with each of the books following. I would love to live there. Have reread it many times.” ~ Emily ~
“This is a genre I don’t generally read, but decided to venture out…Now I know why I was waiting for the perfect book & in Gabriel I found it, I was transported to a world so fantastic I never wanted to come back. Also discovered a new found love of Elves 🙂 This is a wonderfully written tale, with moments so touching brought tears to my eyes….But every emotion is played on. If you read nothing else, Read this. 🙂
Gabriel stayed with me, the perfect dream man, his bravery, loyalty, & his great love for Eden, his life mate & their children…What a wonderful pair… Eden was so stubborn, but loving, willing to give all if need be… They complemented teach each other perfectly, this is a series I hate to see end but they will always have a special place in my heart. I can’t thank Mary Ann enough for the emotional journey these books brought for me. Gabriel’s story will always be very special to me.” ~ Liz ~
“I have known Mary Ann before she had any thoughts of publishing her works. I first met her in Christine Feehan’s site, which was a wonderful place to meet many people who had the same enjoyment of reading and the author. I learned upon our many talks about her love of writing and her thoughts about not trying to publish her books, which I gathered were many over the years. Becca and many of her friends pushed Mary to self publish, which she eventually did. That is where it all began with Gabriel and the start of the Elven Chronicles.
Sandy and I started our own blogging site for book reviews in January of 2012, and we were happy to feature a new author, M.A. Abraham. 5 years later, we have followed and supported Mary throughout her career as a novelist, and now though it has been a joyous journey, the first arc of the Elven Chronicles has come to a close with Kings of the Empire. I thought I would give my thoughts on this series, which includes 12 novels and many novellas.
When I started this series with Gabriel, it was a new world created by M.A. Abraham, with Elves, warriors and a sweet romance between Gabriel and Eden, who would continue to play a major part of this series the entire way. Little did I think after the first book how much Gabriel, Eden and all those elves we met along the way would become part of our family. My final comment on my review of Gabriel: ‘M.A. Abraham is a fresh and interesting new author, with a wonderful imagination.’ Wow, I had no idea how true this would be as each new book was published.
In my later reviews, I had noted many times about Mary’s wonderful imagination creating all her stories, besides the Elven Chronicles; as well having a wonderful sense of humor. By the time we got to the 4th book, I can see a change in Mary’s writing as she was evolving into more serious stories, with tense, exciting action, added to her blend of humor & wonderful romantic couples. Each book just kept getting better and better. In the last book, Kings of the Empire, I think this comment says it all:
‘M.A. Abraham blows us away with a wild, non stop, thrilling, exciting finale that wows us with her seamless flow, especially with the main characters, both new and those who have been with from the start. Thank you M.A. Abraham for bringing us into your world of Elves, and your wonderful characters we have come to love.’
I am proud to call Mary Ann my friend, and an author I will always read. Thank you, Mary, it has been a fun wonderful ride with you and I look forward to being with you on your next journey.” ~ Barb

“I’ve read many of M.A.’s works and enjoyed each one.
‘Gabriel’ happens to be one of the first works of this author I read. I enjoyed the escape it allowed me and all of the magical sweetness.
Elves are not easy to write about. They’re rather complex beings with unpredictable personalities. Creating a world the characters as M.A. has done, and with such vivid imagination, is not easy yet she did it for not just one book but an entire series.
I’ll say that many will be turned off from the overconfidence most elves project. But given the proper chance, I feel they’d find themselves rather enjoying themselves and the unity they show as they progress further into the pages. I’d recommend ‘Gabriel’ to any reader’s out there looking for something different.” ~ A.R. Von ~ author of Wunder Series
“It was such a beautiful world you’ve created M.A. And I think thats what Earth should have been =D “ ~ Al ~
“This is my first book about Elves and I was not disappointed. I didn’t know what to expect, but Ms. Abraham painted a beautiful picture in my mind with her words of Elves, beautiful villages and woodland forest. I was taken on an enchanted journey, were I met amazing an sometimes funny Elf characters, that I wanted to know more about. I felt like I was actually there in the story watching Gabriel and Eden’s love develop and grow. What a wonderful couple. Their are a few twist and surprise’s in the story that I didn’t see coming and at time I was wondering how is Ms.Abraham going to pull it all together, but she did!! This is a very well written story. WELL DONE MS. ABRAHAM!!! I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next book in The Elven Chronicles!!!” ~ Edwina ~
“I enjoyed this book quite a lot. It’s a great fantasy, one that I recommend to anyone who loves the genre, and one that I definitively want to read the next book from.” ~ Mel, Journey with Words
” The feeling of a new world, of powerful beings with an unknown and interesting possible destiny, AN AMAZING MAIN COUPLE, lot of romance, a superb plot and much, much more. I will definitely keep reading this series, actually I’ll start next book right away.” ~ Valee ~
“This by far is one of the best Elven stories I have read in quite awhile. Gabriel sets out on a mission to find a mate for his king. instead he finds the beautiful Eden who is wild., lovely and happens to speak with trees! If you love Elves., this is a story for you. The style of Ms Abrahams writing will keep you addicted and wanting more. on to book two I go.” – Rose ~
Notes the author received:
“The first comment I got from anyone not involved, was that she read it as a favour, because she was a friend. She felt she owed me an apology for thinking I couldn’t tell a story at the time. She said she changed her mind quickly.”
