Hello and welcome!

Today I would like to introduce you to Sharon Hamilton‘s ‘twisted’ sister. When I read that first time in her newsletter, it made me crack up.

Do you have a nickname?
LOL. I once had a boyfriend who called me “HotLips” from Mash. Yes, I admit to being a little sexually repressed growing up in a conservative church-going household. I wasn’t allowed a lot of things. When I began dating, well, let’s just say the whole world opened up for me. I think I have the Minister’s Daughter syndrome.

What is one word best describes you?
I’m driven, compassionate, care about people and my readers, love exploring emotional trails and shadows, looking for clues. I’m curious, positive, and never want to act my age.

What makes you laugh out loud?
I guess clothing mishaps, unintended circumstances happening to people who try to control everything… Just daily little things that make me smile. I don’t like bullies, big mouths, braggarts or insincere people. It hurts me if I forget someone, but even something painful can cause me to laugh. Like someone falling down in the cafeteria at school, spilling their lunch. That almost made me pee. (Don’t ask).

What is your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
I love the smell of fresh, red roses. I love So. African lilies, lavender, vanilla and the “cotton” scent in air fresheners.Favourite place to spend time in.
I love bustling coffee shops. Love bakeries and donut shops (the smell), love movie theaters and sometimes I spend all day trying to see as many as I can! Love buttered popcorn. I love live plays and musicals, love the symphony, art galleries and cruising. I especially love the long ones that go across the Atlantic.

Is there a genre that you refuse to read?
BDSM and anything too graphic when it comes to women’s pain or children being raped. No way. I don’t care if it’s true or not. Not in my library.

Writing! What started it?
My house burned down in 2008 and I was put up in my apartment for 18 months. My husband had to stay at the house because of our animals. After 40 years almost of marriage, I was suddenly alone again. I watched all the TV I could stomach, then read until I got tired, and then started to write. And I never looked back nor went back to my previous job again.

If you could choose another career what would it be?
Interior Decorating, I’d own a nursery, I’d be a permanent author-in-residence on The World ship. A beachcomber and searcher of shells.

Audiobooks! What started them?
Amazon actually helped and paid for my first one, helped show me the process.

Does your work convey a specific emotion or message?
True Love Heals In The Gardens Of The Heart. I believe in true love, and that it brings out the best in us all, and it heals powerfully.

Who is your intended audience and why should they read your books?
Women who want to escape, who also want to celebrate heroes, either dark beings who do good things or military heroes. This applies to both pen names: S. Hamilton and Sharon Hamilton.

Why the switch / the new name?
My Amazon page was getting so stuffed with SEAL books, which require a different branding, that the paranormals were getting sent to page 3 or 4, so readers were never seeing them. Not everyone comes to my website to look over what my series are.

So, I added S. Hamil as a primary author, and thereby created a separate Amazon page so readers could see other books my paranormal readers bought. Not just the SEAL books.

I’ll always continue to write SEALs. I’m not giving up one to do the other, but I’m asking for help in building up the other. They are such distinctive genres, that I wanted to give them a little wall of separation. And I didn’t want to fool readers into thinking they had to re-purchase my books when they already had bought them before. So S. Hamil was created!

What is next in your writing?
I’m doing a billionaire bachelor SEAL, I’m also writing a rom-com older SEAL, more Silver Fox SEALs, and spinoffs from my original SEAL Brotherhood series. As S. Hamil I have another series I want to launch: Paranormal Warriors, former SEALs immortalized. Coming 2021. Will be my first big venture into this.

Paranormal Warriors? Oh that sounds so good, I am looking forward to plunge into the new world. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule and chat with me.

I am so excited to introduce you to a new BBF I acquired recently.

What is your full name?
Quinn Connelly

What is one word that best describes you?
You’d probably suspect as a vamp I’d say bloodthirsty. I’m a Biological vampire, which means I’m half human, but the vamp is dominant. I’ve lived for a few centuries. Every new life I’ve created for myself, changes me. As the owner of Vyro Creek and living as a rancher, I’d say the best word is ‘intense’.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
When I’m working at Vyro Creek, I wear trousers and stovepipe boots. It’s a throw-back from the 1800’s while working on the Transcontinental Railroad. But don’t get me wrong, I like my Wranglers. Yet, if a woman prefers I wear nothing, I love to make her happy.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Natasza envisioned a hero cross between the Witcher and Cullen Bohannon from “Hell on Wheels”. Gritty, harsh, but has his compassionate moments.

What is your favourite drink?
That’s a loaded question for a Vrykolakas, what humans commonly call a vampire. (Grin)

What is your greatest fear?
The Second Blood rebellion is gathering steam. There have been others in the past, but this one is far more serious. Vamps don’t normally fear much, but humans, let alone my favorite human, is in serious danger.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
I don’t sleep. My mind is on other things when I’m in the bedroom, and it doesn’t require clothes.

What is the perfect romantic date?
My brothers and I choose to live among humans. In practice, our kind doesn’t date, but when I met Ariana, she ignored me. Sure, I could have swept into her bedroom at night and taken what I wanted the old-fashioned way. But times are changing, and they’ve changed for my species as well. Unwittingly, Ariana demanded my attention and respect. I had to have some ‘alone time’ with her and suggested we take the horses out for a ride on her ranch. Let’s just say things got intense when an unexpected microburst forced us to seek cover. That was the first time she learned what I was and the true meaning of erotic pleasure.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
For a Biological vamp as old as I am, I’ve come across many pleasing scents. But without a doubt, Ariana stopped me in my tracks. Initially, I restrained my instincts to satiate my thirst. Unless you’re immortal, it’s hard to describe what the rich, intoxicating aroma of blood smells like to us. For my species, it strikes us similar to the peak of sexual release to a human.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I’ve learned over the centuries that beauty doesn’t mean much. The Vrykolakas dens satisfy the darkest desires for males who don’t have wives or blood slaves. And I’ll admit that I, like others of my species, have ventured inside the walls to relieve my instincts. But I’ve learned the depth and passion of a woman is a huge turn-on and only human females possess this quality.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Ari Holland and her two friends bought the neighboring ranch to Vyro Creek, which belongs to my clan. My initial interest was to protect her against the vamp rogue attacks that increased in our backwater town of Saguaro Gulch and across Arizona. Yet, something odd happened when we met, and it changed everything.

What is one word that best describes her?
Committed. To her ranch. She’s not afraid of hard work, but she tried to accomplish the impossible task on her own. She doesn’t want my help, but I give it freely because I want her to succeed. The closer we become the more I realize, I want to spend eternity with this woman.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Arizona Lightning is Book One of the Vyro Creek Series. Arizona Thunder will be out shortly, followed by Arizona Squall. Readers will find the depth of the True Blood Series; the passion of the Black Dagger Brotherhood saga, and the suspense of the Dark-Hunter novels rolled into one. Natasza’s goal is to immerse readers in a new world of tension and romance.

As he mentioned, his story is the Arizona Lightning, book 1 of the Vyro Creek Series by Natasza Waters.

Three women fed up with the hustle of Los Angeles take a leap of faith. They land in a world of rebellion and immortals. The first, they can do without, the last, they can’t resist.

Ariana, Lynn, and Tess can’t turn down the steal of a deal on a dilapidated ranch in Saguaro Gulch, Arizona. The moving boxes are barely unpacked when visitors drop by. Three immigrant brothers from Ireland own the neighboring ranch named Vyro Creek.

While Tess and Lynn are infatuated by the bachelors, Ari isn’t as overwhelmed by the rugged cowboys with cut jaws and piercing blue eyes. There’s something distinctly unsettling about the oldest brother, Quinn Connelly.

After nightfall, a ruckus in the decrepit barn sends Ariana to investigate. When the threat is gone, so are her memories of the predator.

The desert is a rough and parched landscape. But Ari and her friends learn it’s not just the wildlife that’s hot and thirsty.

My review: 5 stars

I have to say I was surprised, and excited, when I saw Ms. Waters was releasing a paranormal book. I love her style of writing and I knew this one will be good too. Reading this story is not just reading, but getting immersed in a world that is old but new at the same time, with a new twist that made it into something exciting. I could not stop, read well into the night, needing to know what happens next. Quinn is lovable despite his sometime stubborn attitude, and he met his match in Ariana LOL those two can make fireworks. I wish they would make up their minds and see that they belong together. The story has an almost cliffhanger ending, but not really. Love the world building and how the layers are revealed slowly throughout the story. I can’t wait to read the next one.

My Chat with Mike

Hello and welcome!

This chat has been in the works for a while and I am glad that I can present it to you today.

What is your full name?
Michael Edward Murphy

Do you have a nickname?
Just Mike but sometimes my family calls me Mikey

What is one word best describes you?
Wow. I only get one word…? Humm… I guess I’d have to say driven. I’m driven.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
I’m a personal training so most of my clothes are workout clothes. Right now I’m only wearing swim trunks since I just got out of the pool.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yeah, I think she did well. I was a career driven, single guy who worked a lot and had some serious issues with my family. Now I’m happily living with the love of my life and I’m a dad. I’ve also reconciled with my family.

What makes you laugh out loud?
My daughter. She’s truly funny and I love hanging out with her. Some of the things that comes out of that kid’s mouth. She surprises me with her cleverness every day.

What is your favourite dessert?
I’m not a huge fan of sweets. I usually eat fruit for dessert, but if I had to pick, it would probably be strawberry shortcake.

What is your favourite drink?
I drink a lot of water, but when I need a pick me up, it’s coffee. When I’m taking the night off and need an alcoholic beverage, it’s usually beer or fine whiskey.

What is your greatest fear?
I’ve lived through losing the love of my life and losing my brother, I’m not sure there’s anything I can’t handle. But to lose Rachel again might kill me, and now, the thought of anything happening to my daughter scares the hell out of me.

What is your favourite colour?
Green.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Boxers usually or boxer briefs only. I see no reason to wear much else to bed.

What is the perfect romantic date?
That’s a good question. I don’t think I’ve given this much thought. I guess it would have to be hiking the hills with my girl and a healthy picnic lunch. That’s a great day in my book.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I refuse to answer this question. No one should ever try to tickle me.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
I really like citrus smells. Orange, lemon, lime. They’re refreshing and clean smelling and remind me of summer.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
Usually, it’s her eyes that first catches my attention. I also love a nice smile.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
I do. I’m back with my high school sweetheart and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

What is one word best describes her?
Despite what we’ve been through, I’d have to say honest. Don’t let the title fool you, Rachel is the most honest person I know. She also deserves two words. She’s honest and kind.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
This book is the last in a series. If a fourth book is written, it’ll be next year and will probably be Rebecca’s story. She’s Emily’s best friends from Accidental Lies.

My review – audiobook edition – 5 stars

heart broken and mended again

WOW I thought the last book was so good, I love Drew, but… this one stole the limelight. Ms. Mason, my heart broke and mended again, to repeat the process again and again. I love Mike and the way he loves Rachel. Her story broke my heart and her mother reminds me of a family member that caused so much heartache UGH I did let loose a few choice words while listening in the car LOL
A well deserved happy ending for the 3 of them, left me grinning. Another great story in the series, my fave for sure… until the next one that is… I hope there will be a next one.
Ms. Navarro is on my ‘eargasm’ list and she does this story justice. Love listening to the voices she gives to the characters and how she gives their emotions life.
