Unexpected visit from Tantalus

Hello and welcome!

Earlier today… as I was writing in my journal … YES! don’t judge! I still write by hand on paper, in a notebook, not as much as I used to and my handwriting suffered for sure. That story is for another day though… ok… where was I? Ah yes! Sitting in my comfy chair, writing in my notebook …

Are you busy? A soft, melodious male voice flows through my mind.

I can tell whoever is contacting me hails from Tantalus, but I have never heard this voice before. I am curious to find out what kind of surprise awaits me.

I am never too busy for my friends. I respond.

I will be brining some special people with me, if you don’t mind. The voice returns.

The more the merrier. You do realize I will be asking questions when you do. I tease.

I can hear the smile in his voice as he responds, We would be surprised if you don’t. You may be even more surprised with some of our answers. There are many changes happening on Tantalus and, although we can’t fill you in on all of the details, we can leave hints about what some of them are. The voice teases me back.

I can feel whoever contacted me leave my consciousness and I shout, You can’t tell me something like that and then leave me in limbo, get back here.

There is no response. NONE! As I pace the room, I swear I can feel my blood pressure rise and I want to hit someone. How dare he leave me hanging like this? You wonder why I hate cliffhangers so much? This is a prime example.

When I think I am about to blow a gasket, I hear a soft rap on my door. He is here, I can feel him, and boy have I got a few words to say to him.

I open my mouth with the intention of speaking my mind as I fling open the door, and then freeze. DAYUM!!!

Hello Eniko, I am Kyran.

I am Kystan, and it looks like Trysuil was right about you.

Trysuil? Right? Okay, so I sound brain dead, but DAYUM …. great mounds of Angel flesh!!! They are Kyllan’s sons, I can tell they are, they look like a younger version of him. Somehow, I find my misplaced wits and ask. What is Trysuil right about?

Your reaction to our presence. He sent us to fly you up to the ship. Would you like us to hold you in our arms? Or, would you rather ride on the platform?

I can’t help but grin or stop the words that flow unchecked from my mouth, nothing new there, right? Your arms are for me. M.A. would have chosen the platform. She is such a scaredy cat 😛

Who would you like to fly you?

Do I get to choose? I ask. Perhaps I could be the one in the middle, I think I would like that.

Interesting byplay on words, considering what you are thinking. Kyran snickers.

So bite me, right here, I don’t even think as I motion towards the spot I am thinking of with my hand. I am not even aware of the fact that I have spoken aloud, or that I am already blurting out the rest of my thoughts, Can I lick you, to see if you are real or if I am dreaming?

I thought that phrase was pinch me, to see if I am dreaming, Kystan wrinkles a brow as he considers the matter.

It is and I am willing if you are. I answer with a grin. All right, so I am flirting outrageously, but I can’t seem to stop myself.

Within moments Kystan whisks me into his arms and we are off to… who cares where… I am clinging tightly to his shoulders OH MY!!! I hope it will take long. A small opening appears ahead of us and we land inside their ship where Trysuil is waiting to greet me.

Welcome to Tantalus, Eniko.

Damn, he is hot. I allow my thoughts to flow through my mind and watch as he smiles slowly enough to make my blood heat up. He spreads his wings wide, so flames can ripple freely amongst them. I watch and give an excited squeal of delight. I can’t believe the Adjudicator has come to see me. Where is Alena, his lucky mate? I wonder if the Tantalarian Females realize how good they have it. They not only have men that are handsome enough to make a gal drool, but they are treated like precious dolls. I want one for my own.

Can I go back to Tantalus with you? I ask.

Trysuil shakes his head as he answers, You have important work to do here, but we have heard so much about you from Kyllan that we felt we should come see you for ourselves. We also have brought someone to show you, although this part of the story has yet to be told, as is Kystan and Kyran’s.

So far I am not complaining about a thing, I reply.

I would introduce you to my mate, Alena, Trysuil speaks, as he turns slightly to wind a wing around someone approaching him. There is so much love and pride in his face as he speaks that I can’t talk past the lump that forms in my throat. This is how love should be between two people!

Alena is covered by one of Trysuil’s wings as she comes forward. He unfurls it and I can see she is holding a small bundle in her arms. She is also glowing with happiness in a way that makes me glad I am wearing sunglasses. She is so beautiful. Are there Tantalarians that are not drop dead gorgeous?

We wanted you to be the first human to see our son, Alena’s voice is light and airy, and she unwraps the child from its little blanket.

My eyes grow wide, then misty as I see the perfectly formed little cherub being revealed. I reach for the baby and then stop. It is not my place to take a child from its mother. Besides, Trysuil might object and then he would fry my hide. Not a good thing.

Alena smiles wider and moves close, so she can place the baby into my arms. I feel tears running down my cheeks as I touch his soft skin and downy feathers. He smiles at me and I coo at him.

His name is Tyrell, Alena speaks while she watches her son with a tender expression. He is our miracle.

He certainly is that, as are all children, I agree, as he begins to fuss.

Alena is immediately there to reach out and hug her child to settle him. It is everything I can do to give him back to her, babies are so precious.

I look at Trysuil and ask, So what can we expect in the future?

Much! comes the answer Our world is coming into its own now and those that were hidden are almost ready to come back out into the world and out of their sanctuary. First, we must come to this world, so we can help those in need here.

When will we get to know more about the future? I want this information now, not in a couple of years from now.

Patience, Eniko. One story at a time, you have a much better idea now what to expect from us later, when People of the Phoenix releases. Until then, we will work to sever our ties with this planet.

Does that mean I will never see you again? I worry.

I give you my word, I will not forsake you, Trysuil promises wrapping his wing around his family.

I heave a great sigh as I watch him leave the room. I am already beginning to feel abandoned.

Kyran and Kystan wrap their wings around me and I am nearly smothered in wings and the heavenly scent of male Tantalarian bodies. I grin as I realize I forgot to even check to see what they were wearing. And here I am, sandwiched between Kyllan’s sons. I have to admit, I definitely don’t feel alone at this moment.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was bliss even though it was fleeting encounter and I didn’t get to ask many questions. We got glimpses of the distant future that I even didn’t know about, how cool is that? It was disconcerting at the beginning hearing the voices in my mind, but I like it! I would want that power too.
You get to meet Trysuil in The Phoenixes Choice, book 5 in the Tantalus series by M.A. Abraham.
The Phoenixes Choice-cover
Kyllan has come home to find several surprises waiting for him, one in the form of a man he had thought dead. Trysuil is most definitely not lost to their people, and he couldn’t be happier. His daughter, Alena, is ecstatic, for her love has been returned to her.
The Phoenixes saved Trysuil from what would have been a certain death, for he had more potential than anyone could have imagined. They kept him in a state of suspended animation, until the time was right, with the knowledge that their world was about to go through many changes in the future. In his new position of power, he will be known as the Adjudicator. He only answers to the Phoenixes; he is their judge and jury.
Those who have gotten to know Kyllan respect and admire him as a good leader of uncanny foresight and abilities. As they get to know Trysuil, they find out that he is fair, just and a man of vision. He will not abuse his position. He would rather help those who have come to live on Tantalus build a future for the generations that are to follow, but he can bring down the might of the Phoenixes to bear on them, if there is a need.
My Chat with M. A. Abraham and her first audiobook release
Hello and welcome!
Do you remember at the beginning of the year I posted about First Contact, book 1 of the Tantalus series by M. A. Abraham being recorded? If not, you can check it out here.
Well… it is done and was released TODAY!!!
Help me congratulate Ms. Abraham and share her big news. Her very first audiobook release and I am soooo excited! I loved the story when I read it. Listening to Brian Callanan, the very talented narrator giving it life, makes it even more special.
Congrats to Mr. Callanan too, looking forward to listening to more. My ears really like his voices 😉
Check out the short audio clips on youtube…
Twenty ships have left the gravitational field of the Earth with the intention of colonizing Mars. Each is independent of the other and set to become domed cities upon landing. The mission is simple: go forth to develop the new planet, make it an extension of our home. Well, it sounded simple.
No one expected life on Mars to be easy, they are pioneers and that is a type of life that comes with dangers. What they didn’t expect was for the settings of one of the ships to be off enough to miss their landing, to miss the very planet they were meant to settle.
Even more astounding was to find another planet within a three-week travel period that lies in the shadow of the red planet. It is where they will land, where their ship will unfold to become a domed city. Where life is dangerous in a hostile land and they find unexpected help. The indigenous winged people of the planet don’t live on the surface of the planet, they live in cities in the clouds, but they are willing to extend a welcoming hand to those who have come to their land, as well as teach them what they can to survive. Their relationship begins with three words.
“Welcome to Tantalus.”
Here is a clip of the story at the beginning of the book …
… and here is one at the end and one of my fave scene in the book, I got goosebumps reading it, but listening to Mr. Callanan telling it … he captured the characters and their temperaments very well and the voice he gave for my love, Kyllan, the Tribunal Elder is PERFECTION
I got to chat with Ms. Abraham about her experience…
Tell us about Tantalus.
Tantalus is basically about a planet that is inhabited by people that have been seeded from other worlds.  There is more than 1 species on it, but the main one is the winged people who are dominant.  They are open to interaction with others, but are not deluded as to the problems that could cause, or the negative, as well as positive sides of the relationship this could cause.  They also realize that they are not perfect, for those that should have been watching over the direction the main population took during their rest period, neglected their duties and it had very adverse reactions from the order of things on the planet.  They are not only being approached by people from the Human race, as they wake up to what needs to be done to correct their error, but the restructuring of their social and governmental order within their own people.
First Choice… why the format of parallel stories?
You have to know where you are coming from, to have any idea where you are going.  The people from Earth have to make the trip to get to the planet.  We need to know what it took, and the problems they encountered on their journey.  Also, things are going to take a while to improve.
How did you come to decision to plunge into audiobook world?
Well, I had this little voice poking at my subconscious mind for a few years.  We all know who owns it.  I need not say more.
I am grinning big and fist pump yessssss
What is the process from deciding to go for it and releasing the audiobook? Was it easier or harder than you anticipated?
Deciding to go for it was making sure that the funds were in place before taking the initial step.  Once you get past the first hurdle, it doesn’t seem to be that difficult.  Getting the right narrator for the task is a huge plus.  It seems simple when you find the right person for the book, one who can connect with the feel for the people you are writing about.  I think in most cases it is like anything else, the wrong impression can destroy something that you believe is good, or it can make something mediocre sound like a song to be repeated many times over.
Personal feelings… are you excited, apprehensive?
Nervous as a cat trying to bury something on a marble floor before getting caught.  I am even having difficulty writing, and I need to get these books written, I am way behind.
What is the reaction of those close to you to this new adventure?
Some are pacing with me, others are not audiobook fans.  It is like picking a car, Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes, GM… one person’s poison is another’s candy.
Why should people pick up this book?
Because it may give you a different perspective from what is on the market today.  I do not tend to follow the beaten path when it comes to writing, which means you can expect something different.
How was working with Mr. Callanan… from author’s point of view?
Brian is very professional, if something is off, he catches it, even if it is something that shouldn’t be there.  He caught the nuances of the characters right off the top, and the few he didn’t, he rethought when it was pointed out.  Some narrators won’t listen to what you have to offer for advice.  Those I tended to reject straight off, the last thing a writer needs is more stress in their lives.
Are you glad you did this?
Well, we will find out.  I have done a lot of crazy things in my life and often the ones I thought were the nuttiest, were the best.
Why didn’t you do this sooner?
I looked into it, but unlike some, I don’t jump off a mountain unless I know there is a safety net beneath me.
Why Tantalus first and not the Elven Chronicles, which is the bigger selling series of the two?
The right narrator at the right moment.  Gabriel was up there, but 90% of the auditions were just wrong for that book.  The one I am looking at right now nailed all the names, and that is a feat in itself.
What is the strangest question you have had someone ask about the Tantalus Series?
Why I didn’t connect them to the Elves.  I could hear it now, Elves in space using light sabres.  That would have been so wrong.  Then again, who knows, the night is young.  😉
What is next?
Aura – and I have heard the audition that makes that book come alive already.  It will be done in February, and I am soooo looking forward to it.
Me too! It is my fave standalone book of yours! I can’t wait to hear Thorn sigh
Integration, book 2 in the Tantalus series, will be done in April and so you know the narrator on this book, to quote someone we all know,  “The scintillating voice of Brian Callanan will narrate this masterpiece”.
LOL I remember that
Thank you so much MA for chatting with me and I wish you much success with this new adventure. I am looking forward to more stories and my ears are ready for more audio time.
To celebrate the brand new release. Ms. Abraham is giving away a few audio copies of First Contact. Let me know in the comments if you would leave Earth for Tantalus if it was an option. I would be on the first ship! 😀
Awesome news from Tantalus!
Hello and welcome!
Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were merry.
I had a relaxing week off and put quite a dent in my TBR pile, especially the audiobook one.
Now onto the awesome news from Tantalus!
I am having a great time listening to an audiobook in progress as it is finished chapter by chapter. The book is First Contact, book 1 in the Tantalus series by M.A. Abraham.
I AM SO EXCITED and I can’t wait for you all to hear it when it releases soon, I do not have an exact date, but you can bet I will share it when the date is set.
The talented Brian Callanan is the one narrating it, he chatted with me back in October. If you missed it, you can find it here. It is such a pleasure working with Brian, he has an uncanny ability to capture the many characters’ temperaments and quirks and the progress is swift. I am hoping he will be narrating the whole series. I love his various voices, male and female, young or old, the colourful nuances, the way I can hear the emotions behind the words.
I will have a trailer for First Contact audiobook to share soon. Until then you can check out his voice on Audible or ACX.
My Chat with Leontide
Hello and welcome!
As usual when I invite one of M. A. Abraham’s hunks, they have to do their own thing, and forget about answering my questions. But… I AM NOT COMPLAINING 😉
Read on about my newest adventure…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I shut down my computer and again it is way after quitting time. It has been a hellish day and the rush requests haven’t quit all day. I want to go home, grab a bite and loose myself in a book, my usual escape from reality.

I rush to the exit, open the door, and step into the arms of a man that hadn’t been there only a moment ago. I swear it is true, he appeared out of nowhere. Oh yes, did I mention he has abs that were made in Heaven, with the white wings to match? I look up… and up … and up …. and I can’t contain my smile …

KYLLAN!!!!!!

I blush and stammer,So sorry, I didn’t see you there.

Kyllan chuckles, I know he has heard my thoughts and my blush deepens. I don’t know why I even try when I know they are sensitive to thought patterns.

Timing is sometimes everything, Kyllan replies.

Yes, it most definitely is, I respond, with a sheepish grin. I mean, what is a girl to do or say?

I have brought you a guest, if you don’t mind, Kyllan announced. The Siren Elder, Leontide. I believe you have heard of him.

Yes, I had, and yes, I am curious. As Kyllan moves aside, to allow me to see Leontide, I am expecting an elderly gentleman to appear before me. Hot damn. These aliens need to be labeled with warning signs: ‘Danger ladies, can cause overloading of Human circuits.’ I nearly break into a sweat.

You are Leontide? I stammer. I never stammer!

At your service, Leontide answered with a bow of greeting.

He thought that he would bring you a surprise, Kyllan chuckled.

As if this isn’t surprise enough, he has the physic of someone around twenty-five years old. How do they keep themselves in this kind of shape? I am both jealous, as well as running on hormone overload.

It is all the swimming and flying we need to do to live, which is something I thought you might enjoy. This is why I have come, as well as to meet you. Kyllan is always talking about you, and for him to be impressed by a Human, I thought you had to be something special.

They certainly weren’t in the back of the line when it came to handing out charm. I look at Leontide’s sparkling eyes, and I know there is more to this than he is telling me. All right, I will bite, and anything he offers actually. Where did that thought come from? He is also talking about swimming, and although it isn’t really the right time of the year, I am curious.

You needn’t worry about the temperature of your lakes, we know it is cold and will take precaution. I have brought someone to keep you warm and safe in the water. Leontide assures me.

Warm and safe in the water? There was ice in that water only a week ago, I exclaim.

You will find that is immaterial to us, Leontide informs me.

My thoughts were, ‘maybe immaterial to them, but I will freeze my bootie off.’

Allow me to introduce you to Sailon. He is one of our people, about your age. With your permission, he will show you the wonders of you oceans, or at least some of them. Leontide offered.

Sailon stepped out from behind Leontide and smiled. I could have cried. The temperature of the outside world also just spiked at fifty degrees Celsius. Yes, I could use a cold swim right about now, although the lake might not be cold enough. He is not only built like a surfer, but his blond sun kissed hair over a well-tanned face makes him look like a model for one. I am dying here, but I may go happily.

Sailon smiles, as he holds out his hand and purrs, I can’t think of an expression close enough to cover that sound, this will have to do. Name your pleasure.

I take a deep breath, clear my throat and bless the day I told my son he could have a sleepover at his friend’s. I am going to Heaven.

I will be near, if you need me, Leontide teased.

I am remembering Sten and Errisa, as I think, ‘Hopefully not too close.’ Then I answer him, I have always wanted to go to the South Sea Islands.

South-Sea-island-3.jpgsource

Our pleasure is making you happy, Kyllan will transport us, but we can’t be gone for long. Despite that, we will make sure your time with us will be pleasurable. Leontide assured me with a wink.

Ta-Ta people, we are off, see you when I return.

Well, what do you think?

When my chats are hijacked my adventures are always oh-so-satisfying, don’t you think?

That gorgeous hunk on the cover is The Tribunal Elder, KYLLAN sigh

You will meet the Siren Elder, Leontide in INTERCESSION, book 4 in the Tantalus series by M. A. Abraham, releasing on May 10, 2017. He is such a character, funny, with a mischievous streak that will have you laughing.

The Tribunal Elder has lived through more millenniums than he cares to think about. He is not the type to shirk his duties. He is a force to reckon with; yet he is known to be a kind man. To settle a dispute between the Martians and the Human, he will travel to Mars. Before he returns home, this problem will be settled, one way or another.

The message from the Martians is clear, remove the settlers from the surface of their planet, or they will die. The Tribunal Elder soon discovers there is more to this than those who are in command know about, for the act that precipitated this action had multiple events. Someone is working in the background, manipulating forces, to create a power struggle between the two species.

Will he allow the Tantalarians be pulled into a conflict that they have and want nothing to do with?

Unexpected Tantalarian visitors

Hello and welcome!

You will not believe who just stopped by! It was a surprise.. an awesome one. Read further and I’ll tell you what happened a few hours ago. Go on, you’ll love it.

What is that noise? I can’t help but wonder if I am hearing things, or dreaming, as the sound of giggling comes from the other room. It is the middle of the night, and I am reluctant to admit I am uneasy about going to check on things. I quickly push that feeling aside, as I attribute it to a bout of rampant imagination.

Setting the nagging suspicion that I am not alone aside, I enter the chat room, where I entertain my guests. I can hardly believe what I am seeing. There are two winged people in the room, and no, they are not paying attention to me, as one tickles the other. I can’t help but laugh, for their horseplay and the sound of their laughter is contagious. They are immediately alerted to my presence and they become more guarded, although the smiles they were wearing earlier remain in place.

Eniko? The dark haired male asks, as he bows deeply in greeting.

The sound of that rich baritone in my mind sends goose bumps all over me.

I have a feeling I know who this is, especially as there is a red haired winged female by his side. Together this couple makes quite a contrast to each other. His wings are very black, so much so that they seem to have a blue sheen to them. Her wings are so white, they gleam.

I have to work at taking my eyes off their wings, and I get the feeling they realize this, as they tuck them away behind them, to help out. That was when I saw his very naked and well-defined chest. Oh yes, a woman could die happy pressed against that. I nearly blurt out the first thought that crashes through my mind, and only stop in time to prevent verbalizing them. It isn’t quick enough to prevent these two from reading them though. The female is the first to begin teasing, and she is outrageous.

Really Eniko? That is all you can think to say? Hallelujah? I am Adele, and this is my mate, husband, Terec. We bring you greetings from Tantalus.

There is no sense trying to hide my thoughts from them, and their names tell me exactly who they are, as well as where they came from. I respond as well as my shock will allow me to, as I return their bows, while my eyes continue to stray he, I mean, they, present such a splendid sight as a couple… I am in such trouble. Both are wearing their ceremonial garb and, while Adele looks fabulous in hers, Terec makes me want to race for my drooling towel. That chest should be outlawed, and probably would be in he lived on Earth. So unfair, I want to go to Tantalus, even for a little while. I can barely stop myself from teasing him. You know the saying, never trust a redhead, they have wicked tempers.

I don’t mind if you tease and, it is alright if you look, after all, we have eyes for a reason. Right? Adele gets the ball rolling.

I like her.

Be good Adele, poor Eniko is having a difficult enough time controlling her thoughts without your help, Terec warns his mate.

You are such a spoil sport, Terec. Perhaps I should allow her to do some of what is going through her mind. Eniko, you would find his wings are definitely as soft as you suspect. Especially on the underside, and he is very ticklish, as you get closer to the inside ridges. He likes it when you… Adele got no further, as he interrupts.

I am sure Eniko isn’t interested in the details.

But I am, is my thought, even as Terec clears his throat. I would like to know as much as possible, and more, if I could get away with it.

Terec, behave, Adele admonished him, before adding. We are here for a reason, not to embarrass our hostess. If you can’t keep your thoughts to yourself, I will definitely allow her to fondle your pearls. You know how Eniko loves black pearls.

Terec’s eyes bulge, as my face burns, and I am sure it looks as hot as it feels. Red generally suits me, and yes, it is my favorite color, but not when it covers my face. Right about now, I would rather just find a hole to hide in.

Adele realizes she has taken her joke a touch too far, and moves to my side, to wrap a wing around my shoulders. She is immediately contrite for the blunt teasing remarks, and lets me know.

You must forgive my crude form of teasing. I love to get reactions from people, and tend to get carried away.

I am surrounded by the downy softness of the interior of her wings, and can only wonder if Terec’s are the same. The thought barely crosses my mind when his wings surround the both of us and, while they are not as comfortable as Adele’s, they are definitely worth dying for. Then again, so is the body that is pressed up against mine. That man is so hot.

Be good, Adele warns me. There is only so much of my man I am willing to share.

Quite understandable, I agree, as I put a little distance between Terec and I. Sigh, such a shame.

We come bearing an invitation from Kyllan. He requests the honour of your attendance at an evening get-together in approximately three months from now, in your time. If you are interested, he will provide transportation, Terec passed on the message they had been sent to deliver.

AM I INTERESTED? Three months from now? Do I have to thing about that? Snort.

Mentally listing the pros… Kyllan, maybe with a red bow wrapped around his hips? Something to consider, no matter how unlikely…. cons – hmmm, cons?

Adele laughs out loud, as she responds to the pictures that cross my mind.

We will pass your messages on to Kyllan that you are considering the matter, and how.

Terec and Adele don’t stick around to chitchat further. They leave.

I follow them outside, into the darkness, and watch as they fly off together. A few moments later, I hear the sound of deep laughter, and know Kyllan has received my thoughts. It is definitely time to go back into my rooms.

One Tantalarian, in particular, feels he has an axe to grind with this ‘Witch Hunter’. This entity has mentally attacked Terec, and singled out the woman he loves to use for his own nefarious purpose. He will not rest until his foe is dead, the game lines have been drawn, the war is on. He might be a young warrior, but he will protect his own. He has nothing to lose but his life, for until the one he loves is safe from the madman, he will stop at nothing.

Adele, a young Earthling, falls in love with the young Tantalarian Hunter, Terec, at first sight and is determined she will have no one else. One of the Phoenixes connects with Adele, creating changes in her, both mentally and physically, that no one expected.

INTERCESSION by M. A. Abraham – Cover Reveal

Hello and welcome!

Look at the gorgeous cover of a book coming in 2017. I know it is early still, but I am so excited. This series is growing and expanding in a way I think even the author is surprised. The characters have a mind of their own and she learned is better to give in, otherwise she will not get any sleep 😉 it is enough that the Gorgeous Bratz keep her awake…

Intercession is book 4 in the Tantalus series by M. A. Abraham.

Intercession-coverSM.jpg
designed by talented Cora Graphics

In the history of the Tantalarian people, The Tribunal Elder is the only one who ever stood up to the Tribunal. He did that when he was a Tribune, and managed to live to eventually lead it. He had disagreed with a decision the counsel made and acted on it. In protest; he cut off his ceremonial braid and threw the discarded plait onto the floor at The Elder’s feet, and refused to ever wear a braid again. His action was considered an insult, to the Elder of that time, as well as the Tribunal. The spirit of the man, who was, still lives in the ruler who is now.

The Tribunal Elder has lived through more millennium than he cares to think about. He is not the type to shirk his duties. He is a force to recon with; yet he is known to be a kind man. To settle a dispute between the Martians and the Human settlers, he is being forced to take the mother ship that they had arrived on Tantalus with many eons before back into space. This, he is not happy about.

The message from the Martians is clear, remove the settlers from the surface of their planet, or they will die. The Tribunal Elder soon discovers there is more to this than those who are command know about, for the act that precipitated this action had multiple events. Someone is working in the background, manipulating forces, to create a power struggle between the two species.

Will he allow the Tantalarians to be pulled into a conflict that they have and want nothing to do with?

That gorgeous hunk on the cover is The Tribunal Elder sigh

My Chat with Mitchel… and Synric

Hello and welcome!

Today I waiting for somebody you heard about, but who very few of you has met yet. I am so excited, I have butterflies in my tummy and I can’t sit still.

I hear rapping at my door and know my guests have arrived.  I admit freely I am very nervous about this interview, I mean, seriously, how many people can honestly say they have interviewed an actual alien?  I wipe my sweaty hand off on the side of my slacks and open the door.

My mind has been a tangle of questions about the Tantalarians and I am curious to see what they really look like.  Did M.A. exaggerate the size of their wings?  What will they be wearing? I admit freely to being extremely curious about their ceremonial outfits.  I close my eyes as the door swings open, I am afraid to look, but open them back up anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I suppress a squeal of delight, and they smile as they bow in greeting and spread their wings.  Angels with black wings, and they are glorious.  If this is an example of what heaven has in store for me if I am good, I just might start going to church, and YES, YES, YES… they are wearing their ceremonial outfits… Halleluiah.

I am Mitchel! the first Tantalarian speaks into my mind.

I am Synric! the second one follows.

I can’t resist the temptation to check out their uniforms.  Did M.A. describe them right?  I sigh as I note that she most definitely did, much less and there would be nothing left for the imagination.  Are those real pearls decorating the edges of the skort?  Black pearls?  I mentally slap my hands to prevent them from straying to the jewels to touch them.  Yes, I have a pearl fetish!  I must have thought about the idea for too long and too loudly, because Synric, bows again and offers to allow me to check them out, if I dare.  Mitchel just stands there and grins with his eyes twinkling merrily.

I suddenly remember my manners and invite them in, and I begin to babble. I have never done that before, but give me credit, these are Aliens. And what aliens they are. Drool.

Welcome to my chat room.  I hope you aren’t too crowded, would you like refreshments?  Me? Anything?  I cringe as I realize what I have just said, oh well, they would have read that from my mind anyway.

We are fine. Mitchel replies as he bends from the waist to fit through the doorway.

The room suddenly seems very small, and those wings look so soft, I wonder if they feel as downy as they look.  Synric grins as he carefully unfurls a wing to wrap it around me.  Oh yes!  A girl could get used to this.  I feel so very warm and comfortable.  Protected.  Does Mitchel’s feel the same way?

Mitchel grins and answers, You may take my word for it that they do, but they are reserved for Karia, and her only.

Synric is more open to the idea, I have hopes, but am willing to share until I get signals that my advances are welcome.

The man is a flirt.  I can live with that.  It isn’t serious, after all.  Synric wraps an arm around my shoulders and tucks me against his chest and I suddenly feel unsure of all the attention he is offering. Feeling warm, secure and impressed with his perfect physique no longer counts.  I have to question his intentions; there are limits to my friendliness.

Just so you know, I already have a husband.

I know that.  I merely wanted to give you some idea of how our females feel when they are held in our embrace.  Synric teased.

Should I tell others about this, I wonder, or keep this to myself?  Decisions… decisions.

I hear a strange noise and both Mitchel and Synric suddenly prepare to leave.  Mitchel heads for the door first.  He tells me their time has come and they need to leave now.  I am stunned; I didn’t ask most of my questions.  He smiles and bows as he sends me a mental picture of Karia.  She is gorgeous.

10962078_10202219054758087_451283736_n

My Karia waits for me, I will not keep her in suspense.  She is as curious about you as you are of her.  Mitchel replies.

Synric releases me from the confines of his arm and wing, and the temperature seems to drop 20 degrees, I need a coat.  He grins mischievously and sends me an offer.

I could send one of the Guardians in training to tend to your heat problem.  I hear you have an affinity for Phoenixes.  The Guardian would be more than happy to help teach you how to connect with the bird and together you could make it purr.

Does he mean what I think he does?  My eyes widen, but he doesn’t answer my question.  I guess I will never know, though he does send me a wink before disappearing through the doorway.  When I go to check where they went, I can’t see any signs of either man.  It is like they were never here.  Where did they go?  How did they disappear so quickly?  I give a sigh of disappointment.  I have so many questions I wanted answers to, and now I fear I will never know the answers.

Another voice enters my mind, We may come again.

Yes, do that! I replied gleefully.

I reenter my chat room, close the door and give a sigh of bliss as I remember my guests.  Oh, but those wings are glorious.
