My black fairy top with laced sleeves and hood, black pants and my necklace that has a black pendant to represent the new moon during my birth.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yes, Crystal wrote me with a free spirit, yet stubborn and confident.

What makes you laugh out loud?
My dog Zeus! He is a fierce protector, but is scared at the simplest things such as a leaf or the wind.

What is your favourite dessert?
These home-made cookies my grandmother used to make. Not sure of the name, but it is an old Italian recipe. They are like a twisted sugar cookies drizzled with vanilla icing and sprinkles.

What is your favourite drink?
Green Appletini

I was checking the recipes online and there are so many variations, I like this one though. There was one with Calvados, but I skipped that one, not one of my fave brandy.

What is your greatest fear?
Death

What is your favourite colour
Green

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
As a witch I always feel my best nude, or fuzzy PJs if I must.

What is the perfect romantic date?
When I’m taken on the perfect date then I’ll let you know! But I would say anywhere outdoors.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
VERY and everywhere! But don’t tell anyone.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Green Apple and it reminds me of apple pie but with my favourite colour.

When you look at a man what catches your interest?
The expression in his eyes.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
I have my eye on a man who helps around the coven, but still trying to mend my broken heart.

What is one word that best describes him?
Strong – built and personality, dark hair and green eyes, so of course I can’t keep my eyes off of him!

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
My book, Sage Sisters, is part of the Saints & Sinners Anthology, but will later be published as a series or trilogy of myself and my coven sisters. Lots of magic spells, mythical creatures, and coven wars.

Author Bio

Crystal St. Clair is a busy mom who lives in the multicultural country of Canada. She does not live in an igloo, but would love to own a pet beaver who loves maple syrup and pancakes!

Crystal graduated as a Law Clerk but would love to one day become an author full time, writing novels for adults and younger generations.

She can often be found playing soccer with her children while their dog steals the spotlight! She loves making others laugh, writing poetry and other inspiring stories. Once upon a time, Crystal played Momma Bear in a Middle School production of The Berenstain Bears and wrote her first A grade children’s story that sparked her creative writing interest.

Aside from fulfilling her long time dream and calling as an author, Crystal enjoys helping her community as a volunteer for charitable organizations such as, Canine Connect A Care Rescue, Boys’ and Girls’ Club of London Ontario, and many more. For this one, I’ll need you to close your eyes and imagine a still lake overlooking the serene mountains in the distance. The smell of fresh air. Reminds me of home.

My review – 5 stars

– Up till 2am
Well Ms. Healy, I blame you for being up so late.
My first from the author and I started it thinking I will read a few pages before sleep. Well… I could not stop reading! Love the style of writing, it was so easy and light for the first half, the story grabbed me from the first page and with each page found myself more invested. Loved the chemistry between Scarlett and Alec. Their story is intense but the reward at the end is so good. I laughed, I cried, I shouted at them to not be stubborn. Brought back quite a few memories, dial-up internet and the songs mentioned in the story. I recommend this story with 5 stars. Looking forward to more, I hope more characters will get their HEA too.

I love discovering new authors and their worlds, and I am glad I found Ms Healy’s. I love her style of writing and will be checking out more of her books.

The story and the voice telling make it …

a must listen

I picked up this book because I love Mr. Callanan’s voice and I am glad I did.
It starts out like any other story, character intros, showing the dynamics between the main characters. I was zoning out a bit in the beginning at the very detailed scenes, BUT… am I glad the author did that because the twist in the story is major, I mean life-altering major, I did not expect and what happens after is very detailed and eye-opening for somebody who has not gone thru that. It is about love, loyalty, friendship, family, what it means to have those when you need them the most. The book has crazy LOL moments, steamy dirty-talk scenes, and tear jerker ones too.
It ends well, but have tissues ready. Emma and Riley’s wows are just beautiful, the nicknames for each other cracked me up. It put me thru the emotional wringer, but OH SO WORTH IT !!!
I think this is the best I heard so far from Mr. Callanan. He outdid himself in every way, the various voices, the emotions, the passionate delivery made this an enjoyable experience.

Overall – 5 stars • Performance – 5 stars • Story – 5 stars

It has been almost 3 years, December 18, 2017 to be exact WOW time flies since I listened to it, but I still remember the feeling of contentment when finished.

My review – 5 stars

I loved all of Ms. Bowen’s books I listened to so far, and ‘Loverboy’ is no exception.

A great mix of sweet love story, second chance angst, suspense, some comic relief and of course HEA ending. Posy’s inner voice cracked me up and was well voiced. Loved Gunnar’s protective alpha, charming flirt and sweet gooey heart. Great secondary characters, Duffy was one of them, funny and sweet, smart ass young man. Scout piqued my interest too. I hope they get their story too.

Loved loved the voices giving life to the characters in this great story. Joe Arden is on my ‘eargasm’ voices list, same with Emma Wilder. Vanessa Edwin is a new voice to me and will have to add her to my ‘to listen more from’ list. Checked her backlist, I added quite a few onto my TBL wish list already.

Moreno’s by Elizabeth Reyes – Cover Reveal

Here is an excerpt from the book, where Isabella, the heroine, has just overheard a girl flirting with the hero, Alejandro. For years they’ve referred to each other as just friends because they’re too young for more but she’s silently always hoped/felt there was more to their friendship…

Despite the gesture and his sweet words, her head was back to what she’d been thinking before he handed her the candy. Trying to hide the jealousy she still felt over the possibility of him hanging out with Imelda at the dance that weekend Isabella glanced away when their eyes met.

As usual he picked up on her disquiet immediately because when she turned back to him, his eyes narrowed. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” She lifted and dropped her shoulder.

The girl waiting on her esquites from Cido interrupted Isabella’s thoughts with her loud question. “How come I never see you guys at the rio parranda’s Saturday nights anymore?”

“Because those river hangouts are for middle school kids,” Cido said taking her money. “We’re preparatoria men now. We’ll be at the dance this Saturday instead.”

Isabella rolled her eyes. Ever since Cido and Alejandro started high school in the city he acted like he was all grown up. It’s why it was so hilarious when he made his dad mad and he was called a clueless mocoso in front of everyone.

Another group of kids walked up to the vending cart and ordered cobs from Alejandro. One of the guys in the group, Juan Carlos, a boy in Isabella’s class was immediately smiling when he saw her.

“Hey, Isabella. You going to the parranda this Saturday?”
Alejandro noticeably slowed his slathering of butter on the cob and eyed Juan Carlos, but then went back to focusing on what he was doing.

Juan Carlos hadn’t lived in Pueblo De Oro long enough to know about her and Alejandro’s history. Taking advantage of this, Isabella smiled feeling evil. But it was a necessary evil.

“I might, since I’m not allowed to dance yet.”

Juan Carlos smiled even bigger. “I’ve only been to a couple since I moved here, and they’ve been cool. I looked for you both times.”

“Yeah, I haven’t been to any lately. But I have been before and you’re right, they are fun. I’ll try and make it out this weekend.”

“Good.” He smiled sheepishly. “Last two times I brought my guitara. I’ll bring it again and play for you.”

As Alejandro finished preparing Juan Carlos’s corn and then his friends, Isabella asked Juan Carlos more about his guitar playing. She knew Alejandro as well as he knew her, to instantly pick up on his change in demeanor during the conversation she continued to have with Juan Carlos. Even if he hadn’t said a word throughout.

Isabella made sure to lay it on thick and did a little extra giggling at anything even remotely silly Juan Carlos said. When Alejandro was done with their food, she realized she may’ve laid it on a little too thick because Juan Carlos was suddenly a little too confident.

“So, what are you doing now?”

“Um . . .” She glanced at Alejandro whose intense glare practically burned a hole through her, then she turned back to Juan Carlos. “Nothing. Just hanging out.”

“Come hang with me at the placita. We’re just—”

“She can’t,” Alejandro said making her heart spike.

Juan Carlos’s eyes narrowed in obvious confusion. He glanced at Alejandro, then Isabella and back at Alejandro again. “Why not?”

“Because she’s hanging out here,” he said simply then added. “With me.”

It took a moment for Juan Carlos to understand Alejandro’s attitude, but once he did, he nodded, even as his friend chuckled. Lifting his elote at Alejandro, he then tipped his bangora at Isabella but said nothing before walking away.

Alejandro eyed Juan Carlos then turned to Isabella. “I’ll be there with you at the parranda this weekend.”

Isabella did her best to hide the smile as her insides burst with excitement. “But I thought you’d be at the dance?”

“Is that where you want me to be, Isa? While you’re at the river listening to this guy play guitar for you?”

“No,” she said too quickly, then backpedaled. “I mean I heard you tell that girl you might be at the dance.”

“That was just me being polite with a customer. Why would I want to go to a dance without you?”

Feeling her heart flutter Isabella shrugged. “Well I thought because Cido said you two—”

“Cido,” he said openly and without bothering to lower his voice since their other best friend was busy flirting with three girls buying esquites. “Says a lot of shit, but you should know by now, he doesn’t speak for me. So, wherever you’re at Saturday night, I’ll be there right next to you.”

This time Isabella did smile. She was not about to argue. Not when she’d gotten exactly what she’d wanted. Confirmation that even as he’d gotten older and was now going to high school in the city with older girls, Alejandro was still one hundred percent feeling for her what she felt more profoundly for him with each passing day.

I’m dressed for war today. I have my black pencil skirt, crimson silk blouse, black blazer and my favorite red soled, black patent leather pumps on. Of course, my hair is in a French twist and my makeup is flawless. Always be prepared for battle, I say. Hades and I are going to see the Oracle of Delphi today.

Pomegranate martini. Every time I share one with Hades, I’m reminded of those tiny seeds I ate while captive in his realm which sealed my fate as his Queen.

What is your greatest fear?
Darling, I fear nothing. Did you miss the Queen of the Underworld part? I’m also quite a powerful goddess in my own right as well.

What is your favourite colour?
Red, crimson, the darker the better.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Nothing at all. Pajamas are for children and lingerie is a human thing.

What is the perfect romantic date?
Hades once took me on a moonlit picnic to the top of an erupting volcano. That was special.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Queens are not ticklish.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Spring lilacs, they remind me of life on Mt. Olympus.

When you look at a man what catches your interest?
Confidence and a powerful stature. I could never be with a man below my station.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
My beloved King Hades, of course. He is the son of the Titans, a god on equal to Zeus and Lord of the Underworld. He has a whole realm named for him. Not even Zeus can say that.

What is one word best describes him?
He’s the King, darling. He is my past, my present and my forever. What else would you ask for in a man?

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
My story is my own, entitled Freeing Persephone. It will appear in the Sinners and Saints Anthology. Hannah Earl has a series called Amyara, Daughter of Eros. It follows the baby goddess Amyara on her journey from human teenager to goddess. I make a few little cameos along the way. There are three novels and a short novella available on Amazon now and an all new novel coming later this year. I may make an appearance in the next book as well. 😉

Persephone, Queen of the Underworld, isn’t threatened by much but when a new Greek goddess hits Mt. Olympus she sees her own demise in the near future. The baby goddess must be stopped at any cost and Persephone is willing to do anything to prevent that from coming to pass, even if she has to defy Hades and Zeus to do it.When her plans get discovered by Zeus, she gets imprisoned by Zeus in Poseidon’s under water prison. She will do anything to get released and resume her campaign against the new goddess.

I currently live in the Daytona Beach area of Florida. (No, it is really not the party spot you think it is.) I have been an avid reader since childhood and even though I have always told my tales of fiction to friends, I never thought to start writing them down until recently. I have always needed a creative outlet in my life and have trained as a singer and actor. Now I really love writing.

Indie Authors – 2021 Catalogue

Hello and welcome!

I have some news, good news, for both authors and readers. Read on to see what one of my fave authors, Erika M. Szabo has to say in her news.

I came across this post on your Facebook mentioning your online magazine. I flipped through it and I think it is such a great idea for both authors and readers. For those interested check it out HERE.

How did this come about?
I started publishing my book teasers as 3D flip-books and readers seem to like it a lot more than my newsletters. In May, I abandoned my newsletter because less and less people opened them, and I started publishing what I usually added to my newsletters, as monthly online magazines with fun, short anecdotes and book teasers. It pains me to see how much the Indie authors spend on promotion, so I stated adding Indie books by fellow authors.

Why do you think it will work?
The flip-book type magazines are easy to read on computers, phones, or tablets, easy to share them on social sites, and they can be embedded into website and blog pages.

I also saw the post about the call-out to Indie authors to sign up for the 2021 catalogue. How much is the fee to be included?
I’m planning to publish an author catalog in January, to introduce Indie authors. The magazines I put together previously, Meet the Author Gang and the anthology One Picture Thousands of Words had been very successful in spreading the word about the authors. Both had been read by thousands and because the magazines are displayed on the shelf, readers are regularly click and read them.

The entry fee is $5 per page to the Author Catalog. Authors who have 8 or less books published, they can fit everything on one page. Authors who have more books can fit everything on 2 pages.

In my monthly magazines, $2 per book on pages where I add 6 books with genre and link, and $5 where I add 2 books with blurb and link per page.

What can the authors who sign up expect?
Although the magazines are shared by many and read by thousands, I can’t promise sales for everyone. I can only promise a lot of exposure, the rest is up to the readers. My experience is that readers tend to click on the catchiest book covers to read about the books, and they tend to click on author links if they find the bio interesting or fascinating.

Who should they contact to sign up or get more info?
Interested authors can ask to join the Facebook group I created for this purpose where I share the info and ask any questions that come up.

Being an avid reader, I always look for info from my prospective.
What can readers expect from a digital magazine?
Every magazine, book teaser, or anthology I publish is reader oriented, except the ones I specifically publish to help authors such as the Self-Publishing issue.

In my monthly magazines I try to add short stories and anecdotes that readers can enjoy as well as books from authors they might not know yet.

For example, the October issue had spooky stories and poems, fun Halloween recipes and decoration ideas, as well as books fit for Halloween.

I create author portfolios as well check out mine for example.

The One Picture Thousands of Words was a fun project. I gave a picture to the participating authors to write a story based on the feelings they were getting from looking at it. The end result was amazing! Every author saw something different in the picture and everyone wrote something different in various genres.

I’ve been in two books before Fiery Billionaire, I hope so 😊

What makes you laugh out loud?
My brother, Carter Holden’s tattoos. Long story, you’ll have to read HIS book, Stay With Me.

What is your favourite dessert?
American cheesecake. Not as creamy as New York cheesecake, but not as dry as Italian.

What is your favourite drink?
Coffee. And champagne. Not at the same time.

What is your greatest fear?
That my smoking will cause a fire.

What is your favourite colour?
Red.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
A satin night shirt.

What is the perfect romantic date?
Anything so long as it’s not a fundraiser! The cheaper the better. Movie night on the couch always gets me.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Very. Behind the ears.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
I’m trying to quit smoking, so I won’t harp on ‘cigarette related’ favorites. The smell of the ocean outside my parents’ house in Orion Ridge, Rhode Island. It reminds me of home.

When you look at a man what catches your interest?
His eyes.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Why yes, I do! Theo Markham, a NYC fireman. And he’s hot hot hot. Yes, pun. But also the sweetest sexiest man, I’ve ever laid eyes on.

What is one word best describes him?
Brave. And not because he’s a fireman. He’s dating me. I’m a billionaire and a smoker.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Always the bridesmaid and never the bride was my motto. But no more! I first appeared in my brother’s book, Stay With Me, the last book in the Mallory Family series. Next, I showed up in Bossy Billionaire as Luke Hart’s fake date, set up by his (now) wife. I guess it worked. I must have made an impression because out of four male billionaires in the Lords of Gotham series, I’m the only female billionaire.

So in my book, there’s a man named Shane Quinlan, he’s Irish with a brogue that will melt hearts and panties. His sister, Sabine snatched up the last Hart brother in Rebel Billionaire, right before my book. Shane has three older brothers. PI’s in the Irish Mafia world. I think they may be next, starting with Shane.

And I’m so glad I’m with Theo because I want to watch this guy Shane fall hard for a woman.
