My Chat with Lorenth… and Marious…. and Gabriel ?

Hello and welcome!

You would not believe what happened to me last night! Read on and find out.

With my son at a sleepover, I was finding myself at a loss for something to do. With the thought of doing as little as possible, I shut down the computer, stretched out on the couch and thumbed through a list of movies I didn’t feel like watching. This wasn’t getting me anywhere. Perhaps I should read or listen to a book, but even that didn’t appeal to me. So, what was I going to do?

A light knock on the door settled my problem. Entertainment had arrived!!! Hopefully. I went to the door and open it and would have squealed in shocked delight, if a hand hadn’t shot out to cover my mouth to stop me. MARIOUS!!! The moment Marious removed his hand, he lifted a finger to his lips to signal for silence.

Marious grinned as he whispered. I have a surprise for you.

I was so excited I could have bounced. What did you bring me?

Marious chuckled as he instructed. Close your eyes and back into the apartment. I will show you in a moment.

Dare I hope? I could feel my inner-self wiggle in excitement.

I take a step back and hear the sounds of people entering the entrance area, before the door closes and the lock gives a click.

You can open your eyes now. Marious allows.

I can hear the smile in his voice and know this is going to be good. I open my eyes and notice a man that bears a strong resemblance to Marious in front of me. I look at the two of them and smile. There is a strong connection to Gabriel between them too. With a light teasing manner I comment. So it is true that the Eagle Claw lineage breeds true.

Marious and the Elf I believe to be his father laugh, then Marious answers. You know it. This is my father, Lorenth.

I quickly offer my hand in greeting, and Lorenth bows over it, before tucking it into the crook of his arm and escorting me into my living room.

I understand you are interested in hearing certain things about my illustrious brother that only we would know. Lorenth chuckled.

I am immediately interested. My readers would certainly be interested in knowing more about him.

Lorenth laughed and a dangerously amused glint appeared in his eyes. You know my stick in the mud brother used to have little or no sense of humor at all? Nor did he give me any credit for adding on to his extensive education about the members of the female sex. I had him tutored by the best.

I raised an eyebrow at Lorenth and asked. Dark Elven Squad members are the best?

Lorenth smirked as he answered, For what Gabriel needed to know, there are none better. He learned to appreciate his gifts after a few ambushes. Of course he would never admit that in public.

I smiled as I ask, You sure about your facts?

Lorenth grinned and asked, Which of many are you asking about, the Dark Elven Elite Squad? I checked them out personally during my formative years. I man needs to know how to treat a woman in bed. I am sure Eden appreciated his technique.

I doubted it, but hey, what do I know. Then again, considering how these Elven men are built, how could Eden not?

Lorenth smiles as he watches me for a few moments, then offers. If you are interested, I can send one of the Dark Elven men to teach you a few lessons for when you meet your own Life Mate. It makes life very, very interesting.

Marious clears his throat and taps his father on the shoulder. I think you are getting carried away, Dad.

Lorenth shrugs and brushes the matter off. Depends how agreeable Enikő is. Then he turns to me, What do you think? Would you like to get lessons from a Dark Elven male? I can promise you that you would be still smiling in the morning, much as the girls used to put a smile on Gabriel’s face. He was such a sourpuss.

I laugh and reply. As tempting as that sounds, I think I better forego the pleasure. But what is this about a Life Mate of my own?

Marious sighs and mumbles, Sagan is going to kill you.

Sagan? I can’t help but wonder what the alien god has to do with this. I open my mouth to ask and I hear pounding on the door, followed by a voice much like Lorenth. Lorenth, are you in there spreading lies to our friend?

Marious grins maliciously as he opens his mouth to answer. Lorenth gives him a warning look and his smile turns smug as he mouths a reply. You are so busted, Dad.

Lorenth shoots Marious a look of knowing and replies. You ratted me out, you miserable fink. You are such a dead Elf.

Marious chuckles as he replies. Bite me. He then called out. In here Uncle Gabriel, I tried to stop him, but you know Dad.

The door flies open and Gabriel walks through. There is s menacing look on his face. The last time you did anything like this I spent three days dangling from a tree. I am not going to let you get away with it again.

Marious murmured from the side of his mouth at his father. Busted, big time.

Lorenth doesn’t look like he cares much as he smiles at Gabriel and spreads out his hands. We have barely had time to say hello.

You told her about the Elite guards, didn’t you? Gabriel growled.

Me? Lorenth asked innocently.

A moment later, Gabriel slung Lorenth over his shoulder and walked out of the room with him. Marious snickered as he watched the two brothers walk out of the apartment. I look at Marious and ask. What is going to happen?

Marious laughed and answered. The last time Dad pulled something like this, Gabriel told him that he was going to tie him to the underside of the back end of a horse.

I nearly choke at the image that brings up, then look up at Marious with an incredulous expression. Gabriel isn’t serious.

Marious laughs as he walked out of the apartment, and before he closed the door, he promised. I will send pictures, although don’t expect them to last long before they disappear. If Gabriel finds out about those, Dad will have company.

As you probably know by now, the Elves are unpredictable and I never know when and how they will come by. I love every minute of their shenanigans.

Check out book 1 in the Elven Legends series by M. A. Abraham releasing October 20, 2020 and find out about Gabriel and Lorenth.

The moment Gabriel’s father, Tyrian, looks upon his son he knows the child is destined for greatness. It is something he is determined to train him well for, as he knows the Fates never give gifts of this magnitude without a reason.

Danaë, Gabriel’s mother knows her mate well enough to fear for the way he will teach their son. Tyrian isn’t the only one aware of the heavy hand of the Fates. She does as well and is determined to shield him from the harsh road he will be forced to travel. It is a dream that will be denied when she is killed in battle when Gabriel is only six.

It is the beginning of Gabriel’s climb to power and how he comes to be known as the fiercest warrior in the Elven lands. He is both feared and respected by friend and foe alike. In war Elven Warriors shout their battle cry, ‘Eagle Claw’ as they race to attack their enemies. Their enemies quake at the sound as they know who they will soon face. He is Gabriel, High Lord General of the Combined Elven and Fae Armed forces, and he has no equal in the land.

Gabriel is one of the most favoured characters in the Elven Chronicles and his followers will be delighted in learning more about him and his past.

If you are not a fan yet of Ms. Abraham’s Elven stories, I hope you will give the series a try and become one too.

My review: 5 stars

I really loved the book and finding out more about Gabriel, it really gives a better understanding of him. I cried reading how he cared about his men after the battle, when he stopped and talked to the dying Elf. Loved seeing Marious again, he was my first love in the Chronicles. Spending time in the Elven Empire is like going home.

“Elven Chronicles” Celebration – part 2

Hello and welcome!

Today is the second of the 6 posts leading to the release of the last book in the Elven Chronicles, Kings of the Empire by M. A. Abraham on February 16, 2017. See my post with the preorder links.

Here are the bonding scenes for the next two books in the series.

Book 3 is…

3 KingsChampion-meme.png

TORRENT, Warrior Champion of High Elven Kingdom, mated to SERENITY, General of the Dragon Army.

The scene is sweet and funny too, I love this couple 😀 Serenity is my fave female character in the series.

Torrent smiled as he kissed her. “You are such a contradiction, but you are mine. I will never let you go. I will love you forever. Serenity, you are mine.” He spoke the first words of bonding to her.

“Torrent, you are mine.” Serenity softly spoke her part of the vow.

“Serenity,” Torrent smiled widely. “I am yours.”

“Torrent, I am yours.” Serenity came back at him.

They finished. “Together, we are one.”

“Finally,” Torrent added as he tenderly kissed her and pressed her close. When he released her he smiled and asked. “So what are we looking at?”

Serenity knew he was only asking about their children and she reported, “Four.” She then waited a moment, before adding. “Girls.”

Torrent dropped like a rock, and as he crumbled Serenity caught him. He folded neatly over her shoulder. She gave a chuckle as she carried him to join the others. Lord but the Elf was heavy.

Book 4 is …

4 LMTAK-meme.png

KING GAROLDTH, ruler of the Free Lands, mated to TÁRI, and she becomes Queen of the Free Lands. Their story is quite emotional but they finally get their HEA after 500 years.

“Tári, you are mine and I am not leaving you step outside of my arms until you agree to complete our bond formally.”
Tári hugged Garoldth closer as she smiled wider and she replied. “Garoldth, your are mine.”
Garoldth was quick to follow her words. “Tári, I am forever yours.”
“As I am yours, Garoldth.”
“Together we are one.” The couple completed their bond as they smiled into each other’s eyes, before they sealed their vows with another kiss.

My Christmas Story :D

Hello and welcome!

Paperback Angel-3v.jpg

I wasn’t in the Christmas spirit this year, just didn’t ‘feel’ it… then it happened …

I never heard a thing, before a pair of hands wrapped around my face to cover my eyes.  The movie I had finished watching on television had just ended, and I had just turned the screen off, with the idea of heading for bed.  It was Christmas eve, midnight.  If I didn’t get to bed quickly, Santa would miss my place and my stocking would be empty in the morning.

Don’t say a word, a deep dark, dangerous sounding voice, whispered in my ear on a breath, and my skin immediately erupted into a rash of goose bumps.

All things considered, it will sound strange for me to say this, but I didn’t feel threatened, not at all.  There was no sense of danger about how this man’s aura washed over mine.  I could tell he was strong, but his intent was pure, and filled with mischief.  I got the feeling this could be fun, or at the very least interesting.

Stand up, but no peeking, the man’s voice breathed into my ear again, and I couldn’t help but smile.  It tickled.

Who is this?  I asked breathlessly.

You will find out in time, the man promised.

That was when he took his hands away.  I wasn’t about to comply with his wishes.  I rushed to turn, felt suddenly dizzy and the world turned black as it spun around me.  It seemed strange that I was able to hear, yet had no control over what was happening around me.  Still, I wasn’t worried.

You weren’t supposed to hurt her, another voice sounded in concern.

She isn’t hurt, the man I had heard earlier spoke.

How long will she be out?  The second man asked.

A few hours, by then we should be back home and I doubt if she will care after that.  The first man answered.

Ha, was my thought.  Someone was going to hear about this!

I felt my body being lifted by a set of very strong arms, and then was cradled against a warm well defined male chest, something I took advantage of by snuggling in closer to.  It felt so good.  Whoever this was, he smelled of the deep forest, and it gave me a sense of peace.  Please, I thought to myself, don’t let me go, I want to die here.

Shh, you will not die, I won’t let you, the man promised.

I felt the cold of the outside air for a few moments, and then a deeper warmth enveloped me, as I was passed over to another person.  This set of arms was even better than the last.  I felt even more secure, and warmth, as if I was enveloped in softness, yet the chest under my cheek was hard as stone.  The contrast was overwhelming.

Sleep Eniko, and dream of a world filled with beauty and love, wake to find it real, a new voice crooned.

I smiled, as I slightly squirmed to get closer, and remembered nothing until I felt movement around me.

You will need to drink something to ease your thirst, wake Eniko, a female voice sounded in my mind.

Can I open my eyes yet?  I asked, while my mind began to wake.

The woman softly laughed, as she answered, Yes, you can look around you to your heart’s content.

I opened my eyes to look into the most angelic features on a face that I ever saw, she even had a set of white wings attached to her back.  If this was a dream, I didn’t want it to stop.

Where am I?  I asked.

You are on Tantalus, for now.  Kyllan heard your wish when you were last visited by a few of our people.  He will return in a moment, but in the meantime you can refresh yourself.  I am Karia; you will meet Mitchel in a moment.  He is taking care of the baby, as you woke at about the same time as Alusia did.  You will get to meet her too.  She stated.

Will I get to hold her?  I asked.  I really didn’t believe I was on Tantalus, but, whoever had set this up had done one pip of a job of it.

Karia took me to a different part of the aerie, where I took care of my needs, and then went back to the main room, where the largest man I had ever seen was pacing as he hummed.  He was holding a tiny child, and they both had wings!  He slightly bowed in acknowledgement of my presence and smiled at the expression of surprise that crossed my face.

I am Mitchel, he announced.  He then crossed to where I stood and gently placed Alusia into my arms.

I looked at the most beautiful baby girl I ever saw, her eyes sparkling and looked back at me with wide curious stare.  My own eyes filled with moisture and smiled, how could I not… then Alusia reached out and touched my face with her small hands while her small wings covered my head… they were so soft… my tears fell freely feeling the happy and warm energy she sent my way.

Both Karia and Mitchel laughed, pleased by my reaction, as they gazed with loving pride at their daughter.

I will never hope to compare after this. A new voice sounded, as two men entered the aerie.  One had a set of huge white wings, the other had none, but was hidden behind the first enough that I couldn’t tell who he was.  I did know that I had met him before, and would be happy to see him again.

Welcome to Tantalus, Eniko.  I will give you a choice of where you would like to sit, while you visit.  Karia, you can take Alusia back now.  The man ordered softly.

Yes, Great Grandfather.  Karia answered, as she lifted Alusia from my arms.

We have met in thought in the past, I am Kyllan. the man introduced himself.  He then moved to the side slightly, as the second man came forward, and he was smiling widely.

You remember me! Lothrariel spoke.  Kyllan was kind enough to come to the Elven Empire to pick me up, so that we could both spend time with you.

Oh YES!!! I sure do! sigh  I really had to restrain myself from jumping him when he opened his arms, but went into them slowly and he gave me a warm hug…. bliss I tell you… sheer bliss

SANTA CLAUS DID COME AFTER ALL!!! They all laughed at my uninhibited enthusiasm.

I will sit in the middle! I declared, as I made myself at home on the center cushion of the couch.  I wasn’t sure how long this was going to last, but I intended on making sure I didn’t miss a minute of it.  Not this time.

I will let you imagine the rest, all I will say that it was the best Christmas Eve ever and I still feel giddy, grinning like a loon 😀

Hope you enjoyed it.

Jess’ Chat with Eden

Hello and welcome!

Remember my new feature where I invite my friends and they bring their fave characters? Today I have my very good friend Jess with her guest and guess who it is? I was surprised when she said who her guest is and I asked her why. Her response was: “Because I love her personality and what she does.”

Read on and find out who it is.

Jess: What is your full name?
Eden Eagle Claw

Jess: Do you have a nickname?
Eden: Some refer to me as The Tratchar, others call me Tratchar Eden.

Jess: What is one word best describes you?
Eden: I tend to be a bit of a free spirit and maybe just a little dangerous. So, in one word? I am Tratchar.

Jess: Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Eden: I am wearing a green velvet gown with golden trim. I thought it would be better than my tunic and boots that I usually wear.

Jess: Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Eden: She tried to brush over the fact that all these changes are rather overwhelming. I am learning how to deal with them through.

Jess: What makes you laugh out loud?
Eden: My children, they are my treasures, and I am very proud of them.

Jess: What is your favourite dessert?
Eden: Anything with a touch of mint in it.

Jess: What is your favourite drink?
Eden: There is nothing more refreshing than cool water from a mountain stream.

Jess: What is your greatest fear?
Eden: That the Demons will get their hands on my Gabriel or our children one day. I admit, it would hunt each and every one down personally if they ever touched my family.

Jess: What is your favourite colour?
Eden: I love the colour of the leaves as they break out of their buds in spring, it is such a fresh look and makes you feel so alive.

Jess: What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Eden: When you are raising six curious, and very rambunctious children, you make sure you are covered, not that that can’t be changed very quickly, being an Elf has its moments.

Jess: What is the perfect romantic date?
Eden: Anywhere Gabriel and I can find to spend a little time together, relaxing, so we can indulge in a little cuddling. I will go to any lengths to be held in his arms.

Jess: How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Eden: We will ignore this question, if you don’t mind. Eden blushes profusely

Jess: What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Eden: I love the smell of pine, it reminds me of the deep forest and our hideaway. Eden sighs dreamily

Jess: When you look at a man what catches your interest?
Eden: I only have eyes for my Gabriel.

Jess: Do you have somebody in your life now?
Eden: As I said, Gabriel is my world, outside of our children. He is the High Lord General Gabriel Eagle Claw, Chief Commander of the Elven Armed Forces.

Jess: What is one word best describes him?
Eden: Gabriel is powerful and in many ways he is larger than life. There is no Elf better than my Gabriel.

Jess: Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Eden: I am one of the main characters in the Elven Chronicles and the series will be ready to evolve within the next two years. In the meantime, we continue to fight the Demon Hordes and the Drazon. We will prevail at some point and our people will finally know what it is like to live in a time of true, lasting peace. It has been eons since we have known that.

Thank you Eden for taking the time to stop by, I know the situation is escalating in the war with the Demons. Sending my warmest greetings to everybody, especially Loth… and Eöl of course. Thank you Jess for inviting Eden for a chat.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the chat.

Check out Jess’ review of “Gabriel”. My review is there too, a few pages back, just look for seelk 😉

If you are new to the Elven Chronicles, Eden is one of the major players in the series and we come to meet her in book 1 of the series, “Gabriel”.

1 Gabriel-coverSM

He is a living legend, a master swordsman, and a hero of the Elven Empire. He had led his Warriors home in victory from a war that had lasted centuries. He is the High Lord General Gabriel Eagle Claw, Supreme Commander of the Combined Elven Forces, and his word is law.

She is a force of nature, an Elven maiden trained in the art of survival by a Fae Warrior and she is just coming into the knowledge of her powerful talent. All of her life she has been able to converse with the forests about her. The leaves rustled their news into her ears, and the life force of the trees transmit their needs to her, for she is an Elf with a gift lost in legend. She is Eden, Guardian of the light of the Elven forests. TRATCHAR. The trees shout her title. Her people whisper it in awe.

“Catch,” the warning comes just in time to alert General Gabriel to attention and warrior that he is he is quick to react just as an arrow knocks a young Elven maiden from a tree branch that he has chosen to stand under, and he catches her as she falls. When blue eyes meet silver each know they have met their life mate, but such things as not as quickly accepted as they are recognized. He would have order in his ranks; she must be free to mark her own trail; he would bind her, tie her, control her. She would test his patience and will to the limit, and challenge his rights to own what she would not give freely.

Elven Chronicles’ Celebration of Life 2015 novella

It has been three years since Branith has been home and a few of the Princes from the Free Lands have come with him. Things have changed and they are all quick to note the obvious ones. The young girls he remembered as cute little toddlers and scamps are developing curves, and he is suddenly feeling very protective. Where did that come from?

As Elves gather for the celebration, Daroth finds his Kingdom is being invaded by what seems like every high-ranking Elven family in the Empire. There are toddlers everywhere! He would ask where they all came from, but their ages point at only one possible answer: their conceptions can be traced back to the time when Gabriel and Eden conjured their spell in the High Elven Kingdom. It reminds him of when their children were toddlers, and with that in mind, he is ready to enjoy the party.

Can it be that simple?

My Chat with the Eagle Claws !

Surprise visit… a secret is revealed 😉

My chat with Torrent… and Marious?

My chat with Eden and Gabriel…

I am puttering around, checking the refreshments and the munchies are ready. I am not a big baker, but I made something yummy for them, my fave… brownies. They smell heavenly.

Meanwhile… just outside…

“What do you sense?”  Jerrol asks Ennacas.

“She is in the house, but not the interview room,” Ennacas reports.

“Time to move,” Jerrol decides, before turning to Gildren and Timorean and asks, “Is the prisoner secured well?”

“I think so,” Timorean replied.

Eärwen looks at the twinkle in their prisoner’s yes and, felt she could argue that point, but that would be a waste of time and energy.  They were only going to release him in a few moments anyway.  Instead, she slips past her siblings to open the door to the interview room, so she can scout the area out visibly.  Ennacas is right, the room is empty.  She sends her sister a thumbs up signal, to confirm her reading, as well as congratulate her, and Ennacas smiles back smugly.  Eärwen rolls her eyes and turns her attention back to the room.  She takes a sniff of the air, and freezes.  She only takes a moment to send another signal to her siblings, telling them to hold back.  She needs to investigate matters better.  Eniko, it seems, has set a trap for them, and she has baited it well… double chocolate fudge brownies.  That is not to be taken lightly.

“I think it is a trap, I am headed in to check this out.  If it is safe, I will let you know,” Eärwen assures her siblings.

They nod in unison and watch Eärwen disappear through the door.  She smiles, as the door snicks shut behind her.  Brownies, and her siblings fell for that, BONUS!  It takes her two seconds to cross the room to where the plate of brownies sits.  She takes a deeper whiff of the goodies and comes close to dancing; they are still slightly warm, with the thick chocolate icing close enough to melting to drip.  Their hostess is one of the good ones.  She quickly stuffs a piece into her mouth and only finds time to grab another two, before Jerrol opens the door to check on his sister.

“Brownies!”  Jerrol’s voice bursts through the silence, to cause Eärwen a moment of surprise, she jumps slightly and, almost chokes on the crumbs in her mouth.

Eärwen just grins, as she stuffs another brownie into her mouth, while she greets Jerrol, “I was just checking them out. What if they were drugged?”

“You are so busted Eärwen,” Gildren declares, as he leads the rest of their siblings into the room.  “How many have you eaten already, two, three?  You have chocolate on your face and hands, you are a mess.”

“And you are jealous,” Eärwen answers, as she gives them an unrepentant smile.

“You are so dead, sister,” Galadriel warns her.  “To think you could do something like this and get away with it.”

“Yup,” Eärwen thinks to herself, “And proud of it.”  She doesn’t tell them that she can feel Eniko headed towards the door with another tray of brownies, because her mouth is too full to talk.  Nothing tastes like warm brownies.  She shrugs off the matter, they will find out in a minute anyway, so it doesn’t matter….

Then I walk through the doorway between the kitchen and the interview room, and I am so close to bursting out with laughter, as six sets of eyes focus on me.  I haven’t seen such guilty looks since the last time they were here.  There isn’t a brownie left on the plate, a clean set of hands, or a face that isn’t smudged in the crowd.  Which was why I served them warm, with extra thick icing.  I smile, and shake my head.

If Eden and Gabriel could see their children now.

The guilty expressions turn to ones of sheepishness, as Jerrol, who is the only one capable of speech at the moment, finishes swallowing and comments.

“You make extraordinary brownies and they are worth running laps for.”

I don’t even try to hide my grin, as I set down a large tray, filled to capacity with more brownies.

Eärwen grins widely, as she swallows the last of what is in her mouth, and speaks.

“You are one of the good ones, and we have brought you a present.”

I mentally shake my head, seeing their chocolate stained clothing.  I am willing to wager those were their Sunday best.  Eden would fry their little pointed ears, or join them, one never knew for sure with her.  I watch as Ennacas runs out of the door, to return with a dark haired Elf, and my smile falters.  What is the meaning of this?  Why have they restrained this man with their father’s rope?

“We brought Felcor to meet you,” Galador announced.

Did he have to be restrained?  I ask.

“It is for your protection, he can be dangerous,” Eärwen replies, as she helps herself to a couple more pieces of brownies.

“You keep eating like that and you are going to get fat,” Ennacas declares, through a mouth filled with brownies.

“Do I look like I care?”  Eärwen sniffed back, as she bit into another brownie.

They boys weren’t paying attention to their sisters.  They were watching Felcor’s hands, as they began to glow.  A moment later the rope fell and, all thoughts of the sweets were forgotten, as the children scrambled to form a battle line, between me and Felcor.  They would protect me with their lives, for I was a friend, and they weren’t so sure where he stood yet.

Felcor spoke a few words and, the rope they had tied him with, lengthened, as it flew at the young Eagle Claw children.  A moment later they were lying on the floor, while they squirmed to gain release from the rope.

Felcor smiles at me and, in a smooth baritone, asked, “Are you interested in taking a walk with me in the woods?”  He then holds out a hand to me.

I look at the amusement, written across his face, that he didn’t attempt to hide, and the robes he is wearing of a High Elven Priest, and I wonder about his real station in the Empire.  Before I could ask, he gave me the answer to my question, even before it took form in my mind.

“Yes, I am a High Priest, and no, that does not mean abstinence.”

I laugh, as I take the offered hand, and then watch while he transfers the few remaining brownies to the smaller plate.  As we walk out of the building, side by side, the plate follows us, and Felcor assures me that the children will be safe.

“Eden and Gabriel are on their way to collect their babies.  They should arrive momentarily.”

Felcor hails from “For The King and Elven Empire”, book 8 of The Elven Chronicles, a great series by M. A. Abraham, release date is June 16, 2015.

Elendil, Gabriel, Eden, and their children are accompanying King Elrohir and his bride to the High Elven Kingdom, by invitation of his father, King Silas. What started off as a simple trip turns into a nightmare, as the children disappear while working in the forest. Eden and Gabriel are frantic. Where are their children? Why can’t they touch their life forces? They join their talents and go on a search, calling in every resource they can, but get no results. They reach out to the Empire for help, but that is quickly brought under control when Lothrariel arrives. Unfortunately, he didn’t get there quickly enough.

At Gabriel’s command, the Kings and Queens lead their armies into the High Elven Kingdom, but it is not Gabriel who will take command; it is Lothrariel. He has regained his ancient powers and searches for answers, but a power as ancient as his has hidden the answers. Who has done this? Why?
With their parents away, the children of the Light Elven Kingdom work behind the scenes to regain the freedom of their friends. There is only one Elf who can reach the children where they are; S’Larea. When they are finished, will the High Elven Kingdom be the same?

For those of you new to Miss Abraham’s books, I hope you will give them a try. I promise, you will not regret it, and her loyal readers will agree with me.

My Chat with M. A. Abraham

Hello and welcome!

I am starting a new feature here in the Chat room.

Chats with my fave authors.

Being my fave author of all times, it is fitting that the very first guest is M. A. Abraham.

Ms. Abraham is known mostly for The Elven Chronicles, a series that I adore and was fortunate enough to be along for the journey from conception to publishing. She calls me her Alpha Reader 😀

I never really liked Elven books before this series, but the world that Ms. Abraham has opened for the readers is amazing and I wish I could go in and never return, and many times I loose myself among the Elves while following their life story.

Read them yourself and you will see why I love the series so much, follow the various characters, each finding their Life Mate and happiness. Of course their life is not easy, they fight against an enemy that is formidable and cunning. Amid all the strife, the author can weave in humour and lighthearted banter that make the books very light and enjoyable. The love is palpable in the story and the bonding scenes are heart melting, the words that the Life Mates speak to each other and joins their life forces.

The Elven world is not the only one that Ms. Abraham has shared with her readers. There are the single titles:

1 Aura-cover 1 Dance Ballerina Dance-cover

3 Theory in Depth-cover

4 My Darling Janice-cover

A new SCI-FI series is in the works, TANTALUS, the first book “First Contact” releasing on February 10, 2015, the second book “Integration” releasing in October 2015, the third book, “Hunter’s Challenge” coming after.

 5 First Contact-cover

6 Integration-cover

7 Hunters Challenge-cover

Aren’t the covers just gorgeous? I think all of them are. Becca A. and Cora Graphics are amazing artists.

Now onto the chat.

Welcome Mary Ann!

1. Do you have a nickname?
Regular or fictitious?  Some in the family shorten my name and call me Ann.  Then there are the others who have named me things like ‘The Godmother’ and ‘Mistress of Ambush’.  A few have labeled me ‘The Elven Queen’.  (I need not mention names.
I would add to it, Queen of Tease 😀

2. What is one word best describes you?
Good question, again, I would suppose that would change from person to person, as you asked them.  Evasive?
That you are! Also classy and an awesome friend.

3. What makes you laugh out loud?
There are many things that make me laugh.  A good joke, general humor, or slapstick types of movies.  Comic situations in a book, or simple mischief.  I don’t like the idea of using other people’s misfortune for something to laugh at; that strikes me as just wrong.

4. What is your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
I love the smell of freshly cut grass, especially in spring.  (Or the first rain of spring).  It reminds me that life goes full circle and is constantly in a state of renewal, no matter what.  It is very refreshing.

5. Favourite place to spend time in.
Lately, it has been in my mind.
I wish I could spend time in there too, I find it fascinating.

6. Is there a genre that you refuse to read?
I am not fond of heavy erotica.  When I read a book I want to feel like I got something out of it.  I want to feel like I have read a real story where I can get lost in the plot.  I don’t want to close the book and feel that there was nothing in it but sex.

7. Writing! What started it?
I was challenged by a friend to write one and, being very competitive, I went for it…. Bwaahaahaa. The rest is history.

8. If you could choose another career what would it be?
I remember a time when I wanted to work in a planetarium.

9. Audiobooks! Any plans to have any of your books in audio format?
I have considered it, thought about the costs and, honestly don’t know what to answer.  Are my books really good enough?  I admit I do have my moments of insecurity.
I think they are. I would love to have Loth whisper in my ear, or Eöl, or… Mitchel, or Adam, or Wolfgang

10. Does your work convey a specific emotion or message?
I would like to hear someday that my books made people feel good about the world in general, even if it wasn’t this world.  There are so many things going on in our lives that make us forget that there is happiness out there as well.  I want to bring people something to smile about.
Personally, I think you do, your books helped me thru some bad times and still do. Thank you.

11. Who is your intended audience and why should they read your books?
I would like to think that anyone who is old enough to read my books is my intended audience, because I believe in magic and hope to pass on that belief.

12. What is next in your writing?
I am approximately 2/3 of the way through writing ‘Integration’.  I will begin ‘Surrounded by the Light’, as soon as that is finished.  ‘Surrounded by the Light’ may … or not … be my last Christmas Novella of the Elven Chronicles.  I am considering a different one than the one I had planned for 2016.  Time will tell on that one.  After I have finished writing ‘Surrounded by the Light’, I will begin writing ‘Tratchars’.  I have a feeling this year could be filled with Elves wanting their story told, Ennacas & Endiku, Eärwen & Eöl, Larien & Rothliel and S’Larea & Lothrariel.  These will take us into the 2018/19 release spaces.  In the Tantalus Series, I will write Hunter’s Challenge and Forbidden Contact, which will be a 2016 novella release, I will release a few stand alones while everyone is waiting to come out, and we will talk about a new series that is slowly taking form in my mind.  Yes, I know, it is very busy in there and, it sucks to be me sometimes.

I am looking forward to many more books.

Thank you Mary Ann for coming for a chat and for all the wonderful books you shared with us and the ones coming our way. We are grateful for your busy mind. 😉

Hope you enjoyed the chat, and for those of you new to Miss Abraham’s books will give them a try. I promise, you will not regret it, and her loyal readers will agree with me.

My surprise visit to …

Hello and welcome!

I have to tell about the surprise visit I had just yesterday to a world that I love so much.

‘What in Heaven’s name is going on?’ I wonder.
A few moments ago there was loud sounds from outdoors intruding on my peace and grating on my nerves. Suddenly, everything has gone silent. No. That isn’t quite right. I can hear the sounds of birds, singing in the trees outside. Wait a minute; the songbirds are gone, migrating south, to where the heat is. There is also sunlight shining brightly through the windows, but the skies were overcast only a moment ago. I run to the window to check this out for myself, and do a double take. Where did all the trees come from? Where is the city that surrounded this building go? It looks like summer out there; it isn’t cold and gloomy anymore. I run to the door to see if this is real, or if someone is playing a trick on me.

OMG, there are flowers everywhere, and they are in full bloom with colorus ranging from one end of the spectrum to the other. The birds are really singing! There are trees framing a picturesque clearing and it is so wonderfully warm. Really, warm. This isn’t a dream, don’t wake me if it is, I don’t want to know. I blink in surprise as twelve Elven men walk out of the forest and bow to me.

Welcome to the Free Lands, my Lady Eniko. This is our home. Dínendal speaks, as his eleven brothers smile.

I have died and gone to Heaven, I swear it. I can’t be hallucinating, it is impossible, I was at work only a moment ago.

Your home? I stammer

Yes, my Lady. Dínendal replies, as he extends a hand to help me step off the stair I am standing on, to the ground where he is.

Of course I take it, I can’t safely make that step on my own, it is almost a full six inches high. I never thought it before, but Dínendal is drop dead handsome. My heart won’t quit pounding and it does a full flip as two blond Elves step forward to introduce themselves. One is in full dress uniform.

I am Eöl. He smiles

I am Endiku.

Endiku is wearing a ruby red robe, edged in white and gold, and it flows around him as he walks.

Both Elves offer me an arm so they can escort me around to meet their brothers. I tuck my shaking hands into the crooks of their arms and smile so wide I swear my face is splitting into two.

Haldemir, and Vandamir. Endiku began.

We heard you were coming and travelled from the Grey Elven Kingdom to make sure we got the chance to meet you. Haldemir spoke for both him and Vandamir, as he took my hand from Endiku’s arm. He then raised it to his lips to press a kiss to the back, and smiled as Vandamir took my other hand. They led me onwards, to the next set of brothers.

Elios and Eanor. Vandamir introduced his younger brothers.

Red heads, my favorite color and on these two Elves, unbeatable. I am speechless and I think they can tell; their eyes are twinkling very brightly with amusement, I am sure that is amusement, the rascals.

You don’t want to be bored by the exploits of two old married Elves. Permit us to show you around. We are much more lively. Eanor teased.

Elios grinned as he tossed me a wink and moved to stand beside me so he could wrap an arm around my waist. Just follow us and we will put stars in your eyes.

Eanor laughed, as he wrapped his arm around my waist from the other side. I appreciated the support, as I allowed them to lead me from Haldemir and Vandamir. We didn’t get far before two of their other brothers blocked our path. I looked at them and felt a whimper threatening to escape. They didn’t have to be introduced. I recognized them easily. Helix and Calix had dressed in the golden splendor of their Battle Bird squadron uniforms…to meet me!

Be good my brothers, you know we won’t let you get away with this. I am Calix.

I looked from one to the other and gave a sigh of appreciation. The two Elves looked so alike, and it was enough to make a girl melt at their feet. This is so unfair.

But of course we look alike. I am Helix, and we are twins, so we should look somewhat the same. I am the handsomer of the two, as you can see.

Of course! I replied.

All right, so I am sounding a little shell-shocked. Can you blame me? I feel like I am standing before two golden Elven gods. I expect them to lead me further to meet their other brothers, but it doesn’t turn out that way, as a dark haired Elf steps between his brothers and parts them. He takes my hand and pulls me out of the small circle I never realized I was in the middle of.

I have come to your rescue, fair maiden. My name is Tathar, and this is my brother Reiss. You remember him, I am sure.

I sure do, but can’t seem to respond fast enough, as Reiss pulls me into his arms to press a soft kiss against my forehead, while he croons. Of course she remembers me. How could she forget?

Very easily. She never met me. A younger Elf answers, as he wrapped his fingers around mine and pulls me gently out of Reiss’s arms. I am Garrett, and much closer to your age than they are.

Yes, but… I know I am forgetting something important but can’t think what…

I believe I know someone she would like to meet, even more than us, while she is here. Come this way, Lady Eniko. Dínendal purrs.

Someone I would like to meet more than Elven Royalty? The thought strikes me into a state of sudden awareness; these Elves are all Princes of the Free Lands.

A lone Elf slips out of the forest. He is in disguise. He is wearing a mask to hide his face, so I can’t see who he is. I am not an Elf, but despite that I can still sense this man’s power. It threatens to overwhelm me, yet I get the impression he has muted it so he doesn’t hurt my senses.

His says my name, and it rolls off his tongue with a seductive smoothness that races through me like aged brandy. Who is he? I can see the smile in his blue eyes. Wait a moment; there is something familiar about this Elf. He laughs, a full rich sound that makes goose bumps appear suddenly, all over my body. Can it be?

Of course it can be. The mysterious Elf purrs, as he takes my fingers in his hand and lifts them to his lips, to caress them with a light touch. When he releases my hand he raises his hand to the mask that shields his face from me. He removes it, as Endiku speaks from behind me.

Eniko, may I present Lothrariel, King of the Elven Empire.

I don’t know what happened after that, but when I woke up I was laying on the couch in my interview room. The day was overcast again and there were signs of the city I live in all around the building, including the noise.

Did I dream it all?

But I know one thing… the down comforter that surrounds me smells of an Elven forest and flowers. I have never felt a cloth so soft, warmth so complete. I feel precious, treasured. Special. Again, I have to ask myself.

Did I dream it?

But I know this much. There was no down comforter in this room before, and I sink deeper into the cozy depths of my bower and inhale deeply I swear I can smell the scent of a certain Elven King. Unfortunately, it is soon overwhelmed by the fragrance of flowers as they fill the room. Elven Starflowers, now those I KNOW don’t grow where I live.

Hope you enjoyed my tale of the trip to the Free Land in the Elven Empire.
