Kevin, my best friend Kathy and the swim team.

Tiramisu. I blame the author. All of her characters love Tiramisu.

Cherry coke.

Getting last place in a swim race. Well, that’s second. Confessing to Kevin. That was my biggest fear for years.

My Chat with Ora – “Sinners and Saints” Anthology – 14

Hello and welcome!

Today I have another heroine from the Sinners and Saints anthology chatting with me and she is very interesting. Read on!

What is your full name?
Ora

Do you have a nickname?
You can just call me Ora. It’s better that way for me if you don’t know the rest… besides, most people don’t like half-breeds from… never mind you don’t need to know that either.

What is one word best describes you?
The word I would use to describe me? Or the word Dio would use to describe me? No, wait, it’s the same…thief.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Brown leather trousers and a white shirt. Nothing fancy. I left my coat in my room, it’s the only truly flashy thing about me. Red with gold embellishments. If my mother could see it, she’d have a cow. Red doesn’t blend in well with the forests of my homeland. It’s not real great for a thief either, but… everyone has their vice, I suppose.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
No. She made me nicer than I am. I mean, sort of. I deserved worse, and she gave me better. Dio would probably agree with my assessment.

What makes you laugh out loud?
Laughter is just a mask you show to people to make them think you’re normal. Smiles, grins, guffaws and snorts, people get uncomfortable if you don’t do those things. I laugh when others laugh. It helps me blend in.

What is your favourite dessert?
Figs. And before you ask, no, not figgy pudding or fig cookies or pie or whatever. Just figs. I stole one once from a noble’s garden. He had the tree in a pot that he claimed was his pride and joy. Everyone in the city came to beg him for one of his little treats, and he’d charge them three silver pieces for a fig barely big enough to take a bite from. Oh, well, so, I should say I stole the fig tree, and then ate a fig from it. What was the question again?

I can’t help it, I laugh, she cracks me up I love figs too, especially freshly picked form the tree.

What is your favourite drink?
Ale. Give me a good, strong draught of ale, doesn’t matter what kind, and I’m happy.

What is your greatest fear?
Pass. I didn’t tell you my name so you couldn’t use it against me. Do you really think I’d tell you my fear? she laughs Look at that, you made me laugh out loud. I guess there is another answer to that question.

What is your favourite colour?
Red. Burgundy. Crimson. Any variation thereof. Red is my favorite color. Or black.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
What do I wear when I go to sleep? Sorry. Personal questions put me on edge. Yes, I know, Dio, I’m being a brat. Shut it. Where was I? Right. Uhm, I suppose bedclothes? Nothing? I mean, half the time I sleep in the trees hiding from one caper to the other so… whatever I was wearing during the day is what I wear at night, I guess.

What is the perfect romantic date?
Dark stone hallways. Massive locked gate at the end. A pair of lock picks and the threat of discovery at any minute. One candle, flickering, while we work at opening the door that keeps us from all the treasure within. Breaking through and finding a pile of gold to lie down upon and — That’s not normal, is it?
I guess 😀

Damn and blast. I meant to say dinner, and flowers, and, uhm, figs.
You are too funny, either is good, whatever makes you happy 😉

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I’m not ticklish. Ticklish is a human reaction to an undefinable threat. I know what threatens me. And never once has anyone used “tickling” to try and make me crack… Dio says my feet. Bloody shut up, Dio!

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Bergamot and thunderstorms. Curled up in a bed with… he… who I don’t like at the moment… tucked in close around me while the wind howls and the rain pelts outside.

When you look at a man what catches your interest?
… Dio … I don’t know what else to say. He’s just …. she looks at him you’re just… everything.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Diorlin Alawastas… I probably shouldn’t have told you his whole name, but this is just between us, right?

What is one word best describes him?
… thief …

No, not once upon a time, because this is no fairy tale, and a thief doesn’t deserve a Happily-Ever-After.

Author Bio

Andi Lawrencovna lives in Northeast Ohio where she was born and raised. She has spent nearly her entire life in the same area, minus the semester she spent studying abroad in England. Though she has not gone back recently, her lifelong goal is to open a pub in one of the small little towns in the Cotswold’s and shear sheep in the backyard during the slow hours of the day. Or, barring that, write about a pub keep with sheep who gets abducted by trolls or enspelled by a siren. Either path works for her.

Her mad-schemes of world pub domination currently are on the back burner while she endeavors to pass on her love of literature and writing to local area writers groups and panels.

My black fairy top with laced sleeves and hood, black pants and my necklace that has a black pendant to represent the new moon during my birth.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yes, Crystal wrote me with a free spirit, yet stubborn and confident.

What makes you laugh out loud?
My dog Zeus! He is a fierce protector, but is scared at the simplest things such as a leaf or the wind.

What is your favourite dessert?
These home-made cookies my grandmother used to make. Not sure of the name, but it is an old Italian recipe. They are like a twisted sugar cookies drizzled with vanilla icing and sprinkles.

What is your favourite drink?
Green Appletini

I was checking the recipes online and there are so many variations, I like this one though. There was one with Calvados, but I skipped that one, not one of my fave brandy.

What is your greatest fear?
Death

Green

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
As a witch I always feel my best nude, or fuzzy PJs if I must.

What is the perfect romantic date?
When I’m taken on the perfect date then I’ll let you know! But I would say anywhere outdoors.

Green Apple and it reminds me of apple pie but with my favourite colour.

I have my eye on a man who helps around the coven, but still trying to mend my broken heart.

Strong – built and personality, dark hair and green eyes, so of course I can’t keep my eyes off of him!

My book, Sage Sisters, is part of the Saints & Sinners Anthology, but will later be published as a series or trilogy of myself and my coven sisters. Lots of magic spells, mythical creatures, and coven wars.

I’ve been in two books before Fiery Billionaire, I hope so 😊

What makes you laugh out loud?
My brother, Carter Holden’s tattoos. Long story, you’ll have to read HIS book, Stay With Me.

What is your favourite dessert?
American cheesecake. Not as creamy as New York cheesecake, but not as dry as Italian.

What is your favourite drink?
Coffee. And champagne. Not at the same time.

What is your greatest fear?
That my smoking will cause a fire.

A satin night shirt.

I’m trying to quit smoking, so I won’t harp on ‘cigarette related’ favorites. The smell of the ocean outside my parents’ house in Orion Ridge, Rhode Island. It reminds me of home.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Why yes, I do! Theo Markham, a NYC fireman. And he’s hot hot hot. Yes, pun. But also the sweetest sexiest man, I’ve ever laid eyes on.

What is one word best describes him?
Brave. And not because he’s a fireman. He’s dating me. I’m a billionaire and a smoker.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Always the bridesmaid and never the bride was my motto. But no more! I first appeared in my brother’s book, Stay With Me, the last book in the Mallory Family series. Next, I showed up in Bossy Billionaire as Luke Hart’s fake date, set up by his (now) wife. I guess it worked. I must have made an impression because out of four male billionaires in the Lords of Gotham series, I’m the only female billionaire.

So in my book, there’s a man named Shane Quinlan, he’s Irish with a brogue that will melt hearts and panties. His sister, Sabine snatched up the last Hart brother in Rebel Billionaire, right before my book. Shane has three older brothers. PI’s in the Irish Mafia world. I think they may be next, starting with Shane.

And I’m so glad I’m with Theo because I want to watch this guy Shane fall hard for a woman.

Ice cream. I mean…come on! There are so many choices out there.

What is your favourite drink?
Coffee

What is your greatest fear?
I’ve had to face what used to be my biggest fear – losing my family. So now there really isn’t much that frightens me.

What is your favourite colour?
Ocean blue.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
A big t-shirt.

What is the perfect romantic date?
A picnic in the park while the philharmonic plays.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Very and I’ll never tell!

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Citrus and cedar. It reminds me of sunshine and earth.

Their eyes. You can see SO much in a person’s eyes.

Well, since I am living in the middle of nowhere, and the only other human being is my utterly exasperating hermit of a “sort of” neighbor. I’d have to say no. No I do not.

It’s not. It’s a stand-alone story of redemption.

Not really, I don’t think I’m a pushover, but it looks like it. I just know how to ‘handle’ my very overprotective bossy brother. I pick my battles.

What makes you laugh out loud?
I don’t really laugh.

What is your favourite dessert?
I’m a dancer. I love them all. I just don’t eat them

What is your favourite drink?
shudders Fireball. I got drunk at a concert once. It didn’t end well.

What is your greatest fear?
That my family will interfere with every aspect of my life.

Nate Ross was everything my over protective Irish brother warned me about. He was older, impulsive and a player.

He was always on the road with the band and would eventually leave me broken-hearted. In my brothers own words, Nate wasn’t good enough for me. Now I have to lie to my family about falling in love with him.

Tricia Daniels lives in a small town in Southern Ontario, Canada, where she raised three kids as a single parent. Creativity and imagination is something there is never a short supply of in her home. Do you have a nickname?
Chase blushes and looks down at his hands a small smile on his lips Kayla calls me Fluffy stupid i know but I like it. It’s how I knew she accepted all of me.
I don’t have… I take that back… firecracker! Chase calls me that when I get all fired up over something.

What is one word best describes you?
Just one word? I would have to say Primal. I feel the call of the wild all the time since I became an anchor.
I would say determined. I never back down. When I decide to go for something, I go all the way and put everything into it.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
I like comfortable. I’m in my favorite faded jeans a black and blue plaid flannel button up long sleeve shirt and hiking boots.
I am wearing a black free flowing skirt that comes down to my ankles it has a bright blue butterfly on the left side on the bottom, a white silk button up shirt and Black sandals.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
She did an ok job. I think I would have been a little smoother around Kayla. Kayla seems to think Megan got me just right.
I think Meg did alright. I think she should have given me a bigger salary.

What makes you laugh out loud?
I have to work really hard at not laughing when Kayla tries to help around the cabin. She is a city girl through and through. So, country living, and chores are a bit awkward for her sometimes.
I love watching Chase and Teddy when they are in wolf form. They act like pups. It is the cutest thing.

What is your favourite dessert?
Key lime pie is my weakness. Sweet and tart and so easy to make.
Oh god… best desert? Chase is such a good cook. I guess I would have to say egg custard pie. I know it sounds weird since I am from the city but the first time, I ate it… it just melts in your mouth.

What is your favourite drink?
Coffee! I need my coffee otherwise my inner wolf looks like a sweet puppy compared to my human side without coffee.
Sangria. It’s light and fruity.

What is your greatest fear?
I worry all the time that I will give in to my primal instincts. It’s alien to me this power became a part of me when Sam grounded me to the earth, and I became immortal. I have no idea what I will become if I give in to the power inside.
I am terrified of being trapped or buried alive. Just the thought of it sends my blood pressure soaring.

What is your favourite colour?
My favorite color is blue. The sky, the lake, the color of Kayla’s eyes… Yeah blue is definitely my favorite color.
I love white. The snow in winter and the color of Chase’s fur. Its just so pure and calming.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Nothing usually but if we have guests over, I will sleep in a pair of grey sweats.
I usually wear an oversized shirt or a set of Pajamas if it’s cold.

What is the perfect romantic date?
I haven’t been on a real date in seventy years. I have been stuck in the forest. So, I’m a bit rusty. I guess a homecooked meal, a long hike to see all the scenic spots and dancing under the stars.
I think a perfect date would be going out and having a nice candlelight dinner, going out dancing, then maybe a walk in the park after dark talking hand in hand.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I am not ticklish. Why? What did Kayla tell you?
I didn’t say anything she laughs Yes, I am ticklish everywhere.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Cinnamon. It’s spicy and smells like home.
I think my favorite smell is the bathroom right after Chase finishes a hot shower. His soap and cologne are heavy in the air. It reminds me of the woods at the cabin after a heavy rain and the night life of the big city. It’s really hard to explain.

I look at Kayla and ask – When you look at a man what catches your interest?
His shoulders I love broad shoulders, then his eyes you can really tell a lot about what a man is like by looking in his eyes.

I look at Chase and ask When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
What do I notice first…? Her scent would be the first thing I would notice then her eyes you can tell a lot about a person by looking into their eyes. A woman’s voice she has to have a sexy voice. Then I would look the rest of her over.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Yeah, Kayla she is amazing beautiful and smart. She’s a short firecracker. Not to mention the most determined reporter I have ever met.
I do now, Chase is the first guy I have had a real relationship with. I’ve dated and had fun but my career has always come first. With Chase I don’t have to choose he supports my being a reporter and wants to see me succeed.

What is one word best describes him? I ask Kayla
The one word that come to mind is natural. He just seems to fit no matter where or who he is with it all seems to come so natural to him.

What is one word best describes her? I ask Chase
Bulldozer. When she gets ahold of a story or she thinks one of her friends are in trouble she will push through anything to get to what she wants or needs to get things done.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Yes, our story is the first in The Hunter’s Series. Kayla answers. then Chase continues Hunters are trying to destroy the paranormal world of shifters, witches, and other mystical creatures. We have to take down the organization and save everyone we can.

Their story is A Solstice to Remember by Megan Kuykendall, a new to me author.

Chase is a wolf-shifter and the leader of an elite team of witches and shifters that protect the supernatural people from the Hunters. When they finally catch up to a siren that is killing young witches, he sacrifices his freedom to trap her in a cavern in the Smokey Mountains Reserve. He has spent the last 75 years not being able to go more than 10 miles from the cavern.

Kayla works for a small paper. She has a shot at becoming the new travel writer if she can nail this latest story. She is headed to the Smokey’s to learn about a sleepy little town that has great fishing and hiking and oh yeah, a wolf that saves people but only on the Winter Solstice. Not that she really believes it. She will stop at nothing to get her story.

The Solstice is only a couple days away when Kayla mistakes Chases home for her cabin. She ends up getting tangled up in the fight to find a way to finally destroy the siren and free Chase from his prison. Will she stay when she finds out that supernatural creatures exist, and she is falling for the Solstice Wolf? Or will this beauty run from her beast?
