Twelve Days of Christmas in a Highlander’s Arms

Hello and welcome!

A great set of Medieval historical romances released recently. I am still reading it, but from what I read so far, I highly recommend it.

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me… Twelve Highlander heroes, brave and true.

Honor-bound and sworn to protect, they’re about to meet their match in twelve feisty heroines.

Amidst the wild Scottish mountains, the snow is falling deep, but twelve heart-warming stories of love await–one for each day of Christmas.

Discover an embroidered partridge fuelling revenge, two turtle doves sealing an ill-fated match, a feathery Yuletide tale, the betrothal of a reluctant songbird, five golden rings forged in forbidden love, a pet goose who represents a second chance, a swan taking flight, a dairymaid with murder on her mind, nine ladies dancing in the moonlight, a duty-bound laird and a wayward lady, a beautiful piper, and a ghostly drummer playing matchmaker.

Curl up with these passionate tales, filled with intrigue, adventure and the magic of Yuletide.

Available for a limited time only, make these Highlander heroes your own festive treat.

Loving Her Highland Enemy – by Samantha Holt
A revenge-obsessed lass keeps a depiction of her clan’s partridge close to her heart in this passion-steeped enemies-to-lovers Yuletide tale.

Highland Dove – by Elizabeth Rose
Will Duncan MacLean be able to escape the English prison in time to fulfill his promise of marrying Mari Stewart on Hogmanay, before she weds another?

The Kitchen Maid’s Tale – by Hildie McQueen
Riding in the back of a cart down the center of the village could be quite embarrassing. Riding in the back of a cart, in a cage with three chickens, was mortifying.

Brenna’s Yuletide Song – by Cathy MacRae
Humor abounds in this rollicking tale of a pampered merchant’s daughter and the Highlander she must marry.

Ringing in Yule – by Sky Purington
Will years of forbidden love remind Tavish and Nessa what’s at stake before she marries another?

Highlander’s Christmas – by Mariah Stone
A secret child. A pet goose. And an unlikely couple who could get a second chance at love this Christmas—if he doesn’t kill her father.

Highland Swan – by Anna Markland
Dr. Pendray must save his patient’s life, though it means losing the woman he loves.

The Lady’s Guide to a Highlander’s Heart – by Emmanuelle de Maupassant
Disguised as a simple dairymaid, Lady Flora Dalreagh sneaks into the home of the warrior she believes murdered her father, intent on revenge.

The Laird’s Midnight Dancer – by Ashe Barker
A sacred stone circle, moonlight, and a bewitching midnight dancer to bring a laird to his knees…

An Angel at the Highland Court – by Celeste Barclay
A laird who fears making a mistake, and a lady whose made one mistake after another…innocence and experience, fire and ice make for one steamy Christmas.

The Piper – by Lily Baldwin
A battle-wounded laird whose sight has been stolen is soothed by the music of a beautiful piper who also bears scars of a tragic past.

Scot Under the Mistletoe – by Caroline Lee
A ghostly drummer turns out to be very much flesh and blood in this hilarious Yuletide romp featuring a second-chance romance, a mysterious little plant, and more than a few Henrys.

My review for The Piper by Lily Baldwin

A short but potent story that had me in tears at times, sometimes in sadness as my heart was breaking for both Cait and Ewan and their struggle, but also in joy on how they overcame their injuries and found their HEA with each other. One of my fave quotes from this story: “I don’t even feel dented anymore. I feel full and sumptuous and perfect.” and alludes to a saying that the cook told Cait. Well woven tale that will stay with me for a while. – 5 stars

I hope you will give these stories a go and maybe discover a new author or two. I know I will.

NEW RELEASE – Broken Rules by Lily Baldwin

Hello and welcome!

There is a new release today I’ve been anticipating ever since I found out about it. I fell in love with the cover. Isn’t it gorgeous?

CONGRATS Lily Baldwin!

Broken Rules

Someone at some point claimed that the love of a good woman could change even the most wayward man. Savannah Honey has put this theory to test more often than she’d care to admit. And what experience has taught her is that it isn’t true.

Bad boys never change.

So she makes a new rule…no more bad boys, period.

Hard knocks haven’t made Damien hard…they’ve made him indifferent. But when he gets a second chance at love with the girl who once showed him a kindness in his youth that he never forgot, he can’t help but care.

Dangerous and doomed to fail, their attraction is impossible to defend and even harder to resist. But love never reads warning labels and sometimes rules were made to be broken.

I will have Damien for a chat soon, so keep a lookout for that. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the book. I started it already and I love what I read so far.

The Scrolls of Cridhe 2

Hello and welcome!

Today I would like to welcome again the Guardians of Cridhe and their Scrolls.

The Legend…

Long, long ago, in the time before time, seven sisters were called from the far reaches of the realm. Each brought unique talents, but had one common gift; the ability to weave ageless tales of love and courage. An evil witch coveted their gifts and locked them in a tower, silencing their voices upon threat of death. But the Highlands are enchanted, and magic will not countenance seven pure hearts such as theirs to be lost.

Highland Flames-bannerWith no one else to hear them, they sang their stories to each other. Fate blew a braw Highland wind to their prison, and the sweet, high timbre of the sisters’ voices enthralled it. The wind gathered close their silver words as it raced past each day, and carried their love and goodness throughout the world…then across the ages.

Today, their words live on in the Guardians of the Cridhe, seven sisters who have sworn to preserve those pure and musical hearts so long as they live. It is said these seven descend from those ancient female bards. Only their words can bear witness to that truth…

Check out their Facebook page and Twitter to keep up to date.

On September 21, 2015 you will be able to read their scrolls in the second volume, HIGHLAND FLAMES.

The Pocket Watch by Ceci Giltenan

Jack: A Scottish Outlaw by Lily Baldwin
Jack MacFie is a thief—with a code. Even though Lady Isabella Redesdale is a hated English noble, when her carriage is attacked by another band of villains, his conscience forces him to kidnap the lady to save her life.
More alike than they first realize, Jack and Isabella both crave freedom from war and despair, but in a world where kings reign and birth dictates one’s station, freedom is not won, it is stolen.

One Knight Standing by Kate Robbins
Thrust together by desire and ancient secrets, William Gillies and Catherine St. Clair embark on a journey of discovery wrought with passion, intrigue, and adventure, revealing their true destiny.

Winter Fire by Sue-Ellen Welfonder

Today I have a visitor all the way from Cape Wrath. I did search it on the web, the photos show a beautiful, peaceful place; also in google maps and it is at the very tip on the Northern part of Scotland.

Of course… I am looking and taking all of him in at a leisurely pace and he smiles

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?

6 big

He hails from “A Jewel in the Vaults” by sweet Lily Baldwin.

She has never met a man like him before. Then again, he has never met a lad like her.

In 1802, Edinburgh’s poverty-ridden Old Town is rife with danger, but it is the only home Robbie MacKenzie has ever known. To safeguard herself against the worst villains of the street, Robbie conceals her femininity behind her shorn hair, dirt-smeared face, and tattered breeches. To all the world she is a lad, but beneath the ruse is a woman aching to break free.

Leaving his beloved Highlands behind in pursuit of his prodigal brother, Conall MacKay journeys to Edinburgh. There, he solicits the aid of a young street lad named Robbie. But Conall soon realizes that there is more to both Robbie and Edinburgh’s Old Town than meets the eye.

It is one of the stories in “HIGHLAND WINDS”, Volume 1 in The Scrolls of Cridhe. This wonderful anthology will be released on November 17, 2014.
