My Chat with Shelton!

Hello and welcome!

I am so happy to have my next guest here with me. He reminds me a lot of my cousin who I grew up with and were close to, I reminisced a lot about those long ago days after listening to his story.

OMG he is gorgeous! Marla! A little warning would have been good, girl! Where is my ice water? Where is my notebook with the questions? Oh drat! I know the questions by heart or I’ll wing it. Ahem!

What is your full name?
Shelton Morrison

Do you have a nickname?
No. Well, my cousin Fallon calls me Shell, among other things. But, otherwise no.

What one word best describes you?
Ooh. Just one word? Hm. Focused? Determined? Maybe, loyal? One of those will work. he chuckles

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Well, I had another meeting today. So, today I’m wearing my dark blue suit, with a dress shirt. he looks a little self-conscious and amused…

and I see he wears cufflinks OH MY … men in well tailored suits are my weakness

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yes! On the one hand I think she makes me sound more interesting than I really am. But, on the other hand, she also doesn’t expose all of my flaws. So, it’s a nice balance.

What makes you laugh out loud?
We’ll I’ve been in two books so far. Have you read them? If you have, you’d know that I laugh a lot. Especially when I’m around Fallon. he shakes his head
I love your relationship with Fallon, reminds me a lot of what I had with one of my cousins growing up.

Would you say you’re easy going?
Yes and no. I can be just as easy going as I can be serious and everything in between. So, I guess I would say, I can be easy going. And, maybe I am most of the time. But, I’m not one of those people that is just easy going and nothing seems to bother them. A lot bothers me.

What is your favorite dessert?
Cheese cake. I love cheese cake. I don’t allow myself to eat it often. But, I love cheese cake.
It sounds like you really do love cheese cake.

What is your favorite drink?
Well, I drink a lot of water. I have to stay in shape and keep my cousin Fallon from getting ahead of me. That’s fairly easy, since she’s a chocoholic and she’s so much shorter than me. he chuckles But, she’s always competing with me. So, I can’t slip up and give her an edge. Or, did you mean my favorite alcoholic beverage?

You can tell me that too.
Tequila. Specifically, Herradura Reposada Tequilla.

What is your greatest fear?
I don’t like being in really confined spaces. I think I’m a little claustrophobic.

What is your favorite color?
Blue

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Usually boxers or nothing.

What’s your favourite smell?
Freshly brewed medium or dark roast coffee.

You are a coffee drinker, only then you would know the difference 😀
Good thing too because I made some for us and I only drink the good stuff.

What is the perfect romantic date?
The perfect romantic date would involve a beach, maybe several. Driving down the coast on a sunny, balmy afternoon with someone I love. And, watching the sunset disappear from the horizon.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
No. I’m not ticklish.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
Appearance. And, I have a thing for stilettos. He looks thoughtful Yeah, I sort of lost it the first time I saw Savina in stilettos. I’m not sure. I like an interesting face. I don’t seem to have a specific type, except there’s something about them that is interesting.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Yes. I do.

What is one word that best describes her?
Charismatic

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
Yes. It’s part of Marla Josephs‘ Reluctant series. I’m not sure what will happen next in the series. I know there will likely be other books. But, I have no idea if I will be in them. I’ve made an appearance in the other 2 so far. And, have this one that I’m a main character in. But, I really don’t know what will happen in the future.

As Shelton mentioned he hails from the Reluctant series by Marla Josephs, specifically Forbidden, book two in the series, is his story.

Shelton Morrison has a strict and fast rule about not getting involved with his tenants. He doesn’t do it. It’s bad for business. But, his latest tenant is definitely testing his resolve. She isn’t just living in one of his various rental properties. She’s living in his upstairs apartment just a stairway away.
Savina Savagar is tired of her overbearing, male dominated family. She’s moved out and right into the upstairs apartment of her irresistible new landlord. Only, he seems determined to resist her. The more she gets to know him, the more she wants more than the friendship he is offering.

I listened to the audiobook and it was a 5-star experience for me, especially listening to the delicious voice of DC Cole ❤ who was my guest for a chat in December.

I looove Shelton, he is my book boyfriend in this series. He caught my attention in book 1, and the close relationship he has with Fallon reminds me of a cousin of mine. I can’t say the same of Savina. She is nice and I like how all the Alpha overprotective men in her family are scared of her, but the way she acted sometimes just irked me. It doesn’t reflect on the story though, their journey to HEA is bumpy to say the least. Got some twists too where the author threw me for a loop which made it entertaining, keeping me engaged the whole time.
Mr. Cole did an amazing job as usual bringing the story to life and the characters feel so real. His voice is addictive, looking forward to more.
