My Chat with Frederick and Amelia – “Sinners and Saints” Anthology – 5

Hello and welcome!

Today I have a double treat for you. Read on and meet them.

Welcome! Welcome!

What is your full name?
Frederick… and whatever last name is acceptable for the time period.
Amelia… and whatever last name my husband has at the time.

Do you have a nickname?
Fred.
People try to give me a nickname, but I don’t really like them. I like it when Fred calls me “Miss” though.

What is one word best describes you?
Valiant.
Persistent. Although Fred would say I really mean stubborn.

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
Dark jeans, tight black shirt with a v-neck sweater overtop, and a newsboy cap.
Stretchy comfy jeans, a tank top and a loose-neck sweater overtop.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Perhaps, however I think she could have described my svelte body and dashing good looks more.
Sure. It’s a bit embarrassing to remember how timid I was in my youth before Fred and I were together, but she got my personality just right.

What makes you laugh out loud?
Listening to young women talk on the phone when they think I can’t hear them. They share the most awkward conversations while riding the bus because they forget that I exist.
When Fred tries to fit in with young people in the world and he uses the phrases wrong.

What is your favourite dessert?
Warm rhubarb pie. They make it with strawberries nowadays but my Mom used to make it with just rhubarb when I was young. It’s one of the last things that brings back her memory.
I love rhubarb & strawberry pie, my fave pie actually.
Definitely Indian Pudding! Warmed up with a dollop of ice cream on top. Yum! Best comfort food ever.
I will have to look that up, never heard of it.

What is your favourite drink?
I wasn’t a big drinker in my younger days, but I’ve come to appreciate a good old “Old Fashioned” when I take time to go to the bar. Otherwise sweet tea works just fine.
I made a few of those in my days working as a bartender.
I don’t really drink. I like sweet tea, mostly. If I feel like having a drink, we go to the bar and I ask them to make me a chocolate martini or something sweet and fancy. I don’t usually finish the whole thing before Fred is carrying me to the car.

What is your greatest fear?
Losing Amelia.
Losing Fred.

What is your favourite colour?
Blue.
Emerald Green.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?
Nothing if possible. But sometimes pajama pants.
I have a long cotton tshirt that is my favorite. It’s long enough that I don’t feel obligated to wear panties while walking around the house before bedtime. I just don’t feel comfortable sleeping naked.

What is the perfect romantic date?
Going to a putt-putt course and ending with ice cream and then cuddling at home.
Anything that is a surprise.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Nowhere.
Don’t let him lie to you. He’s ticklish on the arches of his feet. I’m ticklish just about everywhere.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Amelia. She always smells like fresh laundry and pencil shavings.
The salty smell of the sea. Or caramel.

When you look at a man what catches your interest? I ask Amelia.
Everything about Fred. But mostly his eyes. Men these days don’t really have that sparkle in their eyes anymore like they used to… not like Fred.

I turn to Frederick and ask When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
I’m a people watcher. Every woman catches my interest. There’s only one that has ever caught my heart.

Do you have somebody in your life now?
Yes, Amelia.
Yes, Fred.

I look at Amelia and ask What is one word that best describes him?
Stubborn. And of course brave.

Then I turn to Frederick What is one word that best describes her?
Stubborn, but smart as a whip and more beautiful than any jewel.

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
It seems like every year with Amelia is a new chapter in our lives, every era is a new series.
The future is one thing I can never predict, but I can say we have lived many many series in our history together. I guess we will just have to wait to see if the author decides to keep writing the next part.

Thank you both for spending time with me, looking forward to reading your story.

Hope you joined the chat and will read their story too.

Their story is Beware the Blue Moon by S. E. Winters, a new author for me.

It is said to beware a full moon, for it can make people crazy. But what about love? Especially a love that comes only once in a blue moon?

Listen to a tale, told by a simple man driving a bus, to a studious woman heading home at the end of a long day, of a love so epic that the tale has been handed down for generations along the shore. It begins like all others with a man who fell in love with a girl who lived with a protective father, and the need to prove his worth.

Unfortunately, this tale ends in screams and blood, but the simple man’s story continues long after the bus ride ends. Will you be brave enough to hear the rest?

Author Bio

S.E. Winters (a.k.a. “Snow”) is an author, mother, wife, and curious individual. No topic is left unexplored in her mind, and what happens as a result is anyone’s guess. Branching off from her romance writing duties (as Raven Genevieve), S.E. Winters decided to dip her toes in the waters of the mysterious, paranormal, possibly macabre, and even horrible. I mean, what good is having nightmares if you can’t do anything with them after you wake up?

Raven Genevieve is inspired by life and the women she sees for her romance novels. Feeling that the world needed to change its approach to love, she started writing to get thoughts out of her head, and what happened was a story inspired by herself and every woman that she had ever met. Now she continues to write stories that include all the things that women experience in real life, including sex and love.
