Sexy in Toronto

Hello and welcome!

I had another great adventure in the book world. A couple of weekends ago I was at the “Sexy in the City” Reader-Author signing event in Toronto hosted by The Hype PR and Tricia Daniels and I had a blast.

Again, only a few authors were known to me whom I adore and had the privilege of meeting previously in Ottawa… remember my post about it?

There was Deborah Cooke, Kali Willows, Kayleigh Malcolm and for Marianne Maguire was a first. There were a few authors who were first timers, but I couldn’t tell, they looked like pros 😀

I met a lot of new authors to me, among them: Freya Barker, Shawnté Borris, Tara Brown, Alice C. Heart, S. R. Grey, Crimson Nuage, Livia Jamerlain, Susan Cairns, J. C. Hannigan, Nashoda Rose, Ren Alexander, Cara Addison, R. C. Stephens, Emily Minton, Adriane Leigh, Erin Everleigh, C. J. Wells, Jean Kelso, Cora Carmack, Cori Williams, Douglas J. McLeod, Jenna Galicki, Lara Henley, Allison Cosgrove, Christa Simpson, Alissa Rose, Angela Ford, Maureen Mayer, Helena Hunting, Kahlen Aymes, AE Watson, J. M. Walker, Harlow Stone…. hope I didn’t miss anybody.

Amazing all of them, who took the time, talked to me, to all the readers, about their books and their passion for it.

I was too shy to approach the cover models attending the event to take pictures with them, but DAYUM they were HAWT !!!!

I bought some books… ok, fine, lots of books 😀 between the Ottawa event and this one, I spent my shoe allowance for the next year too. (shhhhh… keep it on the low)

But then I won too, “Clean Lines” from Freya Barker during the FB pre-event, in the raffle: “Bitter Sweet Love” and “Twisted Love” from R. C. Stephens…  aaaaand the Scavenger Hunt basket with tons of books, t-shirts, posters, cups, bling keychains, chocolate…. I was too excited to check out the books and I didn’t take a pic of the basket.

I am looking forward to get lost in each story and find a few more book boyfriends along the way.

I like swag that I can use, good conversation starters, because I love talking about the authors and their books.

Met lots of readers, bloggers. Missed the group photo with my fellow bloggers 😦 I guess I was too hyper about the books LOL

Then there was the after signing chats with the authors who stayed till the end and since I chatted with them during the signing about their books, we had casual chats about everything under the sun, we shared lots of laughs.

I was exhausted by the end of the night, but it was a memorable experience to say the least. Thanks to Tricia Daniels and her minions for organizing this and to all the authors who attended. I HAD AN AWESOME DAY!

I have two bags filled with awesome swag donated by the authors and I would like to share the bounty with two readers.

As you can see in the pictures above, there is a lot of swag in each bag, most of it from the event and a few of what I have left extra in my own stash. No chocolates this time either, I ate them already 😉

Included in the bags, one or the other, inserted randomly, are signed copies “Kirsten Backhard – The Game” and “With Love” generously donated by Shawnté Borris.
