My Chat with Gedeon, Duncan & Xiu

Hello and welcome!

Do I have a treat for you today!!! Read on to see what happened, make sure you have the arctic fan at full blast. You’ve been warned 😉

I try to scream, but I can’t, there’s no air in my lungs. One moment everything is black, in the next moment I need to close my eyelids at the bright light. I’m dizzy, my knees buckle. Thank God strong arms are holding me tight.

Are you alright Ms. Eniko?

I open one eye. I’m right in front of a bulky chest. I’m tempted to find out if those pecs are as hard as they seem. I let my forehead fall against them. God! They’re even harder!

Uhmm… Ms. Eniko? Another male voice asks.

I blink. Where was I? I look around. I’m in a clearing, before a cozy cabin. Oh God! I’m in the dream-world! I’m in a real dream-world!

Well, not exactly. You’re just dreaming that you’re here with us.

I turn my head around, to find Ged smiling at me. Damn! That guy is gorgeous!

If you’ve recovered, we can go inside. There’s coffee and tea waiting for you.

And Ged has made cookies and pancakes! Duncan comes out with a smile. You’ll love them, Ms. Eniko.

The sexy shifter wears a white t-shirt that shows all his muscles. Gulp. I want my own dream-world full of sexy werewolves, vampires and dream-walkers! I can only nod.

Uhmm… Ms. Eniko, you can let go of Xiu now. Ged’s eyes are twinkling.

Do I have to? Uhmm, yes. Sigh. I suppose that it is time to let go and chat instead.

 

What is your full name?

Duncan: My full name is Duncan—

Xiu interrupts  I’m sorry Ms. Eniko, but we have enemies. We can’t give you our full names. the hot Native American interrupts Duncan frowning at him.

If glares could kill…

Ged: Xiu, is right Ms. Eniko, we need to protect our privacy. Is it okay for you if we give you only our first name? My name is Gedeon.

Of course, I didn’t even think of the danger, sorry!

Ged takes my hand with a smile. His lips barely brush my skin, but his eyes… Wow! If angel’s exist then they look like him for sure.

Xiu bends his head in my direction: Xiucatle.

Duncan: I’ve already said my name. Duncan.

Temperatures rise when Duncan winks at me with a charming grin. I knew I should have brought a fan to this interview!

Do you have a nickname?

Ged: Everybody calls me Ged, he’s Xiu… Ged points with his chin at the Native American. And we call him sometimes Shadow… And the pup at my side is just ‘Pup’.

Gedeon bends to the side so fast that I can discern only a blur. It seems that Duncan’s fist just failed to reach his cheek. Duncan growls and Gedeon bats his lashes innocently at me. This is going to be interesting.

What is one word best describes you?

Duncan: Alpha.

I hear someone chortle. Xiu? I can’t say for sure, he keeps a straight face when I turn to him.

Ged is rubbing his chin as if he wasn’t sure what to say Patient? Strategyst? Too complicated for one word? he chuckles.

Duncan: If you had asked me, I’d have said that Ged is sophisticated, but thinking about it… yes, he’s definitely complicated—at least for a man.

Silence. Everyone looks at Xiu, who is fidgeting in his seat. Their gazes cross. Xiu’s is full of pain. I know about his past as a slave, but all that pain makes me want to know more about him. Duncan’s smile has disappeared, he has his fist clenched now and all his muscles are taut. Ged shakes his head almost imperceptibly. I’m getting the feeling that they’re having a conversation without me.

Xiu, finally, he raises his chin… Warrior!

Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.

Duncan: A white T-shirt and jeans.

Xiu: Black cargo pants, black T-shirt, and black combat boots.

Ged: I wear a dark, slim fit suit in stretch wool from Armani; a white shirt; a light blue tie from Hermes; and black, handmade Italian shoes.

Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?

Ged: Basically yes. Ms. Xireau understands how different we are from each other.

Duncan: I’d have liked if she had shown more of our background and our daily life, but I understand that there was a word limit.

Ged: Some women have shown a special interest for Xiu, but the Ms. Xireau would have to write a whole book just to tell his story.

Ged winks at Xiu. Xiu is frowning, but his blushed cheeks betray him.

What makes you laugh out loud?

Duncan: I suppose that the same things that make other people laugh. I don’t know.

Duncan looks at his mates. What makes you laugh out loud?

Ged and Xiu are staring at Duncan as a lopsided grin appears on their faces.

Duncan: F*** you! He shows them his middle finger.

Ged and Xiu laugh out loud. No words are needed, I catch the idea and I chuckle.

What is your favourite dessert?

Xiu: Pancakes!

Ged: My tastes are… very singular, you don’t want to talk about them, Ms. Eniko.

Duncan: I love almost everything Ged cooks, and of course… whatever my mates have to offer.

There is a twinkle of mischief in Duncan’s eyes. Again… No comment!

What is your favourite drink?

Xiu: Water.

Duncan: German beer.

Ged: Let’s say that I never say no to a glass of good, red…wine.

What is your greatest fear?

Duncan: To see myself in a situation where I’m not able to protect my mates and specially Sarah and our unborn daughter.

Ged smiles at me The same as yours.

Has he just read my mind? Duncan’s answer made me recall my son and my need to protect him. Is Ged talking about a son? His son?

Ged: Sons, daughters, mates… They’re all our loved ones and, usually, also the reasons for our greatest fears.

He’s doing it! He’s reading my mind!

Ged: Sorry Ms. Eniko, I can’t prevent it. You’re a bit nervous and that makes you think loudly.

Xiu: A good warrior never lets others know his real fears.

What is your favourite colour?

Duncan: Blue.

Ged: Bright red for drinks, blue for everything else.

Xiu: Green, it represents the equilibrium between the head and the heart.

What do you wear when you go to sleep?

Duncan grins Are you sure you want to know?

Xiu: Only my dagger.

Ged: When I go to sleep I wear pajama trousers.

Duncan turns to him frowning I’ve never seen you go to bed in a pajama.

Ged rolls his eyes I’ve said when I go to sleep. If you’re in the room I know I’m not going to sleep.

What is the perfect romantic date?

Duncan: Whatever, as long as Sarah ends in my arms. And no, this time I’m not talking about sex.

Ged: The perfect romantic date changes with time. We change, our relationship changes and circumstances change. The perfect romantic date is when you adapt to the moment and the person you love.

Xiu: The perfect romantic date? When you look at your mate and know that she’s aware of how much you love her and that she’s happy spending that moment with you.

How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?

Duncan: Not much.

Xiu and Ged stare at Duncan.

Duncan: Okay, I’m a bit ticklish.

Xiu and Ged keep staring at Duncan.

Duncan: Okay, okay, I’m very ticklish! I’m ticklish everywhere, but nobody needed to know it!

Duncan keeps muttering something under his breath.

Ged: It depends on how relaxed I am.

Xiu frowns I don’t know.

Duncan: You don’t know if you’re ticklish? Who doesn’t know if he’s ticklish?

Xiu: I don’t know!

Duncan: Great! We’ve got plans for you Shadow, and Sarah will love them!

Xiu: Don’t dare to even think about it!

Duncan: Oh, it has nothing to do with thinking, I promise! he chuckles

Xiu: Duncan!

Duncan: Xiu?

Ged: Stop! Both of you! We don’t want Ms. Eniko to get a wrong impression about us, do we?

Duncan: Of course not! I’m sorry Ms. Eniko, Xiu is a bit grumpy but —

Ged: Duncan!

Xiu growls at Duncan.

What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?

Xiu: My mates. Home, peace.

Duncan: My mates. Their smell reminds me of sex and love.

Ged: My mates scent. It reminds me that I’m alive and that live is wonderful.

When you look at a woman what catches your interest?

Xiu: The only woman I look at is Sarah. I love her smile, the way she frowns when she doesn’t understand something, the way she moves… Everything in Sarah catches my interest.

Duncan:  Curves. I like women with curves. A generous cleavage, hips to hold on when I get lost in them… But to be honest, since I’ve mated with Sarah the only curves able to catch my interest are hers, and Sarah is so much more than just curves. She’s smart, sassy, strong…

Ged: Physically? Seeing the back of a woman has always raised my interest. There’s a special kink in observing a nude woman from behind. Just tracing a woman’s neck with my gaze, going down following the line of her spine, and reaching the generous curve of her bottom, is one of the most fascinating and arousing sights for me. If we’re talking in general, nevertheless, then a woman’s intelligence, her sense of humor and her compassion toward others takes precedence over any physical aspect.

Do you have somebody in your life now?

All 3 respond in unison SARAH!

What is one word best describes her?

Duncan: She’s a Dream!

Ged: Life!

Xiu: Hope!

Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?

Ged: Yes. There will be a series, each book can be read as a standalone though.

Xiu: Sarah wants to turn our dream-world into a safe place for those who are in danger in the real world.  We’re already helping Samgar. His female mate is in danger, and his male mate is condemned to die if he can’t find a place where he can let loose his true nature.

I still don’t like that f****** dragon-shifter near Sara. He’s f****** out of control! Duncan mutters with a low dangerous voice

Ged: Ms. Eniko, soon it will be time for you to go back to your world, but we’ve thought you’d enjoy a short picnic at the cascades. The three blood moons are impressive when they shine over the lake.

Oh that is wonderful! Are you sure I have to go back? I am ok with staying here for a while longer.

Ged smiles as he whispers A little while longer.

And that is the last  thing I remember.

My review:

First book I read from this author and I am impressed with the imaginative and unique story. I loved the way Ms. Xireau matched a vampire, a shape-shifter, a dream-walker, made them work in a menage without interfering with their traits. All 3 heroes are book boyfriend material, so I will not choose, I’ll take them as a package 😀 lucky Sarah, they fell in love with her. The story develops and grows as it unfolds… suspense, passion, laughter, self-discovery ending in a unique HEA.
