My Chat with Lucifer and Westmancott

Hello and welcome!

Oh I have something that will delight you… and probably puzzle you too 😉

Read on to find out why.

I rush through the entrance of my home and notice a pile of mail sitting on the stand. Probably bills and a package is my first thought. Do I want to look at them? Do I just ignore them? I better not. This means I am going to crack the seal on the box first. I look at the return address and squeal. I know who sent me this and it will be chocked full of goodies. Did I ever tell you I love books? Audiobooks? Well, I am.

I check out the rest of the pile. Flyers. More flyers. A few envelopes that I place into a pile off to the side. Then I noticed one that doesn’t fit with what I usually get in the mail. It is a heavy, cream coloured envelope. There is even embossing on it and it is closed with sealing wax that bears the crest of an Angel in the centre. I grin as I think, “Aren’t we fancy.” I can even tell whomever addressed the missive did so with a fountain pen. I am in love already. I look closer at the stamp of the Angel and notice the letter “L” in the middle. It is a pity I am going to have to break this seal to see what is inside.

Written on a heavy cream vellum sheet that I draw our from inside of the envelope is:

You have been granted an interview
with the Angel Lucifer and Wm. Westmancott.
We will arrive on May 17, 2020 ,
at precisely 7 pm.
Thank you for the invitation.

I glance quickly at the clock and groan as I curse the postal services for taking forever to deliver this. I only have an hour to prepare. What is even worse, I have to really think to remember who these people are. When I do, it sends me diving into my closet.

Three quarters of an hour later, I walk into my studio. At precisely the given time, I hear a solid rap on my door. Showtime. I brace myself, open the door, and my jaw drops to the floor. Standing before me are two handsome men in the most amazing suits I have ever seen. One is slightly older, the other looks to be approximately thirty.

Enikö, I presume. I am Lucifer, The younger man speaks with an accent that has a hint of British hidden in its depth. This gentleman is Wm. Westmancott. I believe you were curious about his work.

Remembering my manners in time, I smile then welcome them. Please come in. Can I get you anything before we begin? Coffee? Tea? Water? Something a little stronger?

That would be nice, Wm. Westmancott replies. Do you happen to have some bourbon on hand?

The high-class British accent flows through his lips so smoothly, I can tell is has been cultivated especially for dealing with the finest in the land. It takes me a few moments, but I eventually find a small bottle of bourbon I must have rifled from somewhere in the past. I mean like really, who drinks bourbon?

Water will do for me, The man called Lucifer answers.

As the two men find a seat, I get their drinks and sneak glances at them. You just have to love a man in a suit, especially when they fill them in so nicely.

While I serve their drinks, I ask. So Mr. Westmancott, what made you decide to become a tailor?

I enjoy my work. I believe there is nothing more presentable than a well dressed man. Wm. Westmancott states.

I could not agree more. I understand you made the suits for the gentlemen in ‘Angelika Leanne’. I prod.

It paid well.

Have you ever made a suit for a woman? I couldn’t help but wonder.

A few times, but it is not my specialty. I am not often approached by women to create for them. Wm. Westmancott answers.

Your work is exquisite, I reply with unfettered admiration. Do you mind if I touch? My hand automatically strays towards Lucifer. Damn, but that man is drool worthy.

Lucifer laughs as he comments, I thought that was meant for our tailor and his suit, not mine.

I blush slightly, but refuse to voice my thoughts. His is the better fit. Instead I comment. You were closer. Granted, I had to cross the floor to make it seem that way, but who is paying attention. Right?

I am not as available, Wm. Westmancott states with a grin. He knows Lucifer doesn’t like being touched.

No one asked you for a commentary, Lucifer snarls.

All of this because I was curious about the fabric? I wonder.

My pardon, Enikö, Lucifer replies. I am solitary by nature.

Grouch by character, Wm. Westmancott snorts.

And ready to cancel my orders from you if you keep it up. Lucifer states.

As Lucifer speaks his phone rings and he answers. A moment later, he looks at me, bows and apologizes. We must leave, I have an emergency. A good friend of mine is in trouble and needs help. Another time perhaps. One without the tailor.

Wm. Westmancott gives me a wink and they are gone. I am left standing there wondering what just happened. I didn’t get the chance to ask any of my usual questions. But Lucifer did say here will be another time.

I hope you enjoyed the chat. As it happens with MA’s characters, they side-tracked me. Maybe next time… when I get Lucifer to myself 😉

The two hail from the Daughters of the Valley series by M. A. Abraham.

If you have not read them, you should.

The last one releases May 20, 2020 and I cannot wait for you to read it.

Angelika-cover-lr.jpg

Angelika moved to the land beyond the portal when she was only sixteen and has lived with Tyndal for four years. She has been successful, but misses her people as well as her home world. Despite this, she is happy in her work.

With the intention of bringing Angelika back home to the Valley, Ravel and his brother, Rafe, journey to the outside world. She is needed at home, it is time for her to take her place in their society. It is Rafe’s hope that he will catch her interest and return as his wife. It is, however, not to be, as with one kiss, Ravel realizes that she belongs to him. He will fight anyone that gets in his way, even his brother. How can he get her to come back willingly though?

Forced to go to Ravel’s help, Angelika’s family travels to Tyndal’s home and the fun begins. It takes the female members to track her down, and then, much to the dismay of the men, they decide to indulge in their idea of having a good time before they leave for home. The problem with this is that it does not involve the men. How are they to not only find their wives, but get them to go home peacefully after they have been allowed to run wild in this world?

My review: 5 stars

Being Merika’s granddaughter and Teryka Rose’s daughter, Angelika Leanne inherited many of their qualities … and faults too LOL Stubborn is high on that list, but in a good way. She stands for what she believes in and does everything to realize her goals. She finds her HEA too but poor Ravel is put through the wringer, as many men of the Valley were before him. Got to see the characters from previous books make an appearance. Tyndal had a big role in this book, she is one of my fave BGF from the series, I hope she gets her story too.
A great finish to the trilogy, M. A. Abraham took me on an adventure that spans three generations in two worlds and makes me wish I was in the Valley too.

I heard that there will be another trilogy with the “Sons of the Valley” SHHH it is a secret yet 😉
