Hello and welcome!
One of my newest BBF (book boyfriend) stopped by for a chat, it was easy to fall in love with him. Keep on reading and find out who it is 😉
What is your full name?
Alexsandr Maksim Markov. In case my name didn’t make it obvious enough, my parents are Russian. he chuckles
Do you have a nickname?
No. Everyone just calls me Alex.
What is one word that best describes you?
If you ask my associate Marissa, she would say, stoic.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
My girlfriend Dana would laugh, but I’m wearing a grey suit. She teases me about the lack of color in my wardrobe. I just like what I like.
I love it, gray is one of my fave colours too 😉
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yes. It was somewhat disturbing, actually. I would like to find out how Ms. Leo got some of her information. Never mind. Maybe I don’t want to know after all.
What makes you laugh out loud?
Few things. I’m a pretty serious guy. It’s just my temperament. But Dana makes me laugh. She makes me smile a lot. That’s how I knew.
What is your favourite dessert?
Well, I’m vegan so the desserts I love may not be as decadent as others. If you gave me a few pieces of ripe fruit, the juices dripping from them, I’d be in heaven.
Raspberries are my fave fruit, I found this great recipe for vegan smoothies, and made some for you, hope you like it.
What is your favourite drink?
Ah, these are tough questions, Eniko. I don’t drink alcohol. At least, I don’t anymore. I try to keep as healthy as possible. Even in my clubs, I stick to Coke.
What is your greatest fear?
I’d rather not talk about it, if you don’t mind. I already saw it realized and … well, the thought of anything happening to Dana sends me to very dark places.
What is your favourite colour?
he laughs It should be grey but it was recently replaced as my favorite color. I’m very fond of dark brown now, the color of Dana’s eyes.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
he laughs again Eniko, does any romance hero come to your blog and admit to wearing clothes to bed?
What is the perfect romantic date?
Despite the decadence of my surroundings at Vice, my needs are basic. I like the idea of minimalism. For me, an ideal date would be Dana, a beautiful nature trail and time to enjoy it. he winks Of course, I would never say no to a firm mattress.
Or a booth in Covet VIP room? That was hot, I have to say.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I don’t get ticklish. he taps me on the nose Did you hear me? Not ticklish at all, especially not under my arm!
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
Dana has this amazing perfume. She says it’s a custom blend. It smells like flowers and fruit and powder, all at once. Whatever it is, I need to buy the factory where they make it. I’ll probably sound like romantic fool, but she smells like the gardens at Versailles.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
It’s never just one characteristic. It’s the way the woman carries herself and the light in her eyes. When I first met Dana, we were both in a bad place, but there was a spark in her. Of course, I’m also obsessed with her beautiful dark skin and those legs.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
You mean I get to talk about Dana some more? Awesome. She’s been in my life for over a year now and we’ve set a date.
What is one word that best describes her?
Heat. My Dana is pure heat.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
It sure is. Ms. Leo tells me my book is number 2 in the series. I hear a third may be in the works. In fact, I’ve heard rumblings that the heroine of that book will be Marissa Flores, my colleague and the designer at Vice. I’ve known Marissa for a while and she’s always been tight-lipped about romance. I can’t wait to see her get her turn.
oooh I can’t wait to read her story, I like her, she is a good friend to you from what I’ve read so far. Thank you Alex for stopping by and for the chat.

Hope you enjoyed the chat. I certainly did 😉
As Alex mentioned, he hails from Covet, book 2 in the Vegas Sins Series by one of my fave authors Rosanna Leo.
I LOVE these covers, intense and beautiful, just like the stories.
Alex just acquired Sin City’s hottest casino hotel, and he’s determined to make Vice the ultimate pleasure palace—along with the mind-blowing new club, Covet.
But behind the successful entrepreneur façade, Alex struggles with a past that continues to haunt him, day in and day out.
After a surprise hookup with a beautiful stranger, he thinks he’s found the perfect distraction…until she walks out, leaving him with an unfamiliar ache which the pulse-pounding nights of excess at Covet can’t soothe.
When their paths cross once again, Alex realizes Dana is so much more than a mere distraction. He wants her—all of her.
But having her means he needs to face both her demons … and his own.
My review – 5 stars
I was so happy when I heard that we get to go back to Vegas. Ms. Leo didn’t disappoint, as usual the story is heartfelt and engaging. As the story unfolds, the layers reveal complex characters some that we get to love, some that we get to hate or pity.
I did fall in love with Alex and the way he got Dana to love him. They love, they heal, they protect each other. They get their HFN ending. The one thing I would have added to tie the loose ends, or satisfy my need for revenge, is what happened to the reporter and the driver. I guess will have to imagine that 😉
I hope you give this series a chance, you will not regret it.
Here is a short excerpt
“Ms. Hamill?”
“I’m sorry. What were you saying?”
“Just that we do work closely with a number of the other hotels on the Strip. It’s a busy week in town, but I’ve heard there might be openings at the Flamingo and Excalibur. I would be happy to see if we can find you something at one of those properties.”
Okay. The time for calm was officially over. “Excalibur, huh? We booked Vice, the most sophisticated hotel on the Strip, and you want to send me to a place that has a fire-breathing dragon in the lobby?” Dana checked the clerk’s name tag. “I’m sorry, Cecilia. That just won’t do.”
“But we have no rooms.”
“Check again. I bet if you try really hard, you’ll find a couple.”
“You don’t understand—”
“Oh, I understand, believe me. Did I mention I work for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Association? I’ve spent the last few years bringing major conventions to the Strip. I have worked with every hotel and have sent a great deal of revenue in Liam Doyle’s direction.”
“Mr. Doyle no longer owns Vice. Mr. Markov is the new owner.”
Dana’s frustration erupted in a crazed laugh. “You’re missing the point, Cecilia! I’m trying to tell you I have done this before. Now I’m not blaming you. Let’s say, for the sake of argument, someone else mislaid my reservation. Mistakes happen. Systems go down. I get it. I’m just asking you to fix it. Maybe you could bump someone else and send them to Excalibur.”
“Ms. Hamill.”
“Look, we’re wasting time here. I want to speak to a manager.”
“I’m sure my manager would be happy to talk to you but she’s in a meeting.”
“Great.” Dana’s voice cracked. “Please. I don’t like causing scenes. I’ve had…a lot on my plate lately. Woman to woman, help me out here.”
A deep voice sounded over Dana’s shoulder. “Maybe I can help.”
Dana froze.
That voice.
The last time Dana heard a voice like that, it was cursing softly in her ear as its owner fucked her into oblivion.
Help me, Jesus.
She turned, degree by degree. It couldn’t be.
And yet, everything she remembered was there. The cat eyes, the sun-kissed hair, the long, hot body.
This Alex looked different, though. The stubbled, jeans-clad creature from Joe’s was gone. He’d been replaced by a man who held himself with an easy authority. Dressed in an expensive grey suit, he looked as if he’d be just as much at home on a catwalk as in a casino. His short hair shimmered under the hotel lights, a deep golden color that would make most trophy wives salivate. His lips compressed as he took in the shock on her face.
Various emotions flickered in his pale eyes. Disbelief, concern, even anger. She understood them all and would have felt them too.
It was the last emotion that caused her heart to sink.
Indifference. The Alex from her fantasies now looked at her with indifference.
