Hello and welcome!
I invited the heroes of “Highland Flames” as mentioned in my previous post. Read on to find out what my second guest has to say.
Welcome! Welcome!
What is your full name?
James Waterson, the newly titled Earl of Ruthven.
Do you have a nickname?
Nay, I am only called James.
What is one word best describes you?
Intense.
Describe what you are wearing now to our readers.
As I sit here at desk writing you, dear lady, I am wearing only a white lawn shirt, kilt and boots.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Aye, she did, though I would say she was kind in showing the best of me—as much as was possible, in any event.
What makes you laugh out loud?
he laughs softly As a lad, I laughed often. But that changed, and I have no’ laughed for some time. Lately, however, Lady Annabelle has made me laugh, and often. She cannot keep her thoughts to herself. That does tend to get her into trouble, but it is also very humorous.
What is your favourite dessert?
Fresh berries on a hot summer day.
What is your favourite drink?
Port.
What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is that I will make another mistake that gets another innocent woman killed. A killer already hunts Lady Annabelle. I must protect her at all cost.
What is your favourite colour?
The soft blue of a clear spring sky.
What do you wear when you go to sleep?
What all vigorous men wear when they sleep: nothing.
What is the perfect romantic date?
I know little of romance, lass. I recently spent an evening stranded in a snow storm with Lady Annabelle and we…well, if ever there was romance, that would be it.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
Nay, I am no’ ticklish.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
My favorite smell is the rosewater Lady Annabelle bathes in. It reminds me of her, and is a memory I will cling to for the rest of my life.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
Her eyes.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
Nay, no’ in the sense ye mean. I have sworn to be Lady Anabelle’s friend, and I will keep the promise until my dying day. But she belongs to another man.
What is one word best describes her?
Vivacious.
Is your book part of a series? What does the future hold for the readers of the series?
My story is the second in the Regency Bride series. The first book, Lord Grayson’s Bride, told the story of Lady Annabelle’s sister Lady Josephine. I believe Miss Scott plans next to write the story of Miss Summerfield, Lady Annabelle’s cousin. She is a very interesting woman.
I loved “Lord Grayson’s Bride”, I had Nicholas for a chat and I can’t wait to read Lena’s story. Thank you James for this chat.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed the chat.
James hails from Lord Ruthven’s Bride by wonderful Tarah Scott. I looooove her stories!
Lady Annabelle is torn between two men. The man she is betrothed to and the man who saved her life.
And what a story it is! The story has suspense, humour and a wonderful HEA. Loved James and Annabelle’s interactions, she is lucky that he is always there to save her, her curiosity got her into trouble many times. They are so good together, I laughed out loud a few times, especially at the end. It is such a delightful story. Thank you Tarah for the ARC!
It is one of the scrolls in the Guardians of Cridhe’s second volume, HIGHLAND FLAMES, to be released on September 21, 2015.
