Hello and welcome!
Today I have Malcolm visiting…. and…
*blink-blink* … ah… yes, Malcolm… ahem… yes… please have a seat…
Where are my papers? I can’t remember any of the questions… oh yes, there they are. Phew!
What is your full name?
Malcolm MacDonald, Lord of the Isles
Do you have a nickname?
I do not know what that is.
A nickname is a familiar or humorous name given to a person or thing instead of the real name.
My wife calls me her love. Everyone else calls me Laird MacDonald.
What is one word best describes you?
Loyal. I will do anything and everything to protect those I love. Some people think I am headstrong, however I prefer to think of myself as dedicated.
Do you think the author portrayed you accurately?
Yes, although she needed to be reined in on several occasions. That lady has quite the imagination.
But that is what we like authors to have, imagination!
What is your favourite drink?
I enjoy ale or mead.
What is your greatest fear?
That the fragile peace I have forged between the clans will fall apart. Some men appear happiest when they are in some sort of conflict. It takes constant effort to maintain peace.
I know what you mean, I’ve met people like that, they are not very nice.
What is the perfect romantic date?
My wife enjoys a casual stroll through the blooming heather, followed by a light lunch beside the loch. We do just that as often as our duties allow.
How ticklish are you? Where are you ticklish?
I do not really want to answer that question. If Sheona were here, she would no doubt answer it for me, though.
What’s your favourite smell? What does it remind you of?
I enjoy the smell of lavender, it reminds me of Sheona.
When you look at a woman what catches your interest?
The sparkle in her eye, or a pretty smile. I like a woman who can think for herself. That is very appealing to me.
Do you have somebody in your life now?
Yes, my wife, the lovely Sheona MacDonald.
What is one word best describes her?
Driven. When she puts her mind to something she will stop at nothing until she achieves it. And that is part of her charm.
Thank you Malcolm for accepting my invitation and answering my questions. Greeting to Sheona!
I hope you enjoyed the chat.
Malcolm hails from “Spirit Stones” by Kate Robbins. A new author for me and I looking forward to discovering her other books.
Sheona MacLeod has a gift.
Connected to the spirit world, Sheona engages with souls long departed. Caught in the middle of the most vicious battle she has ever witnessed, she is captured by her bitter enemy. Armed with only her gift, can she escape his clutches and return to the safety of her clan?
Malcolm MacDonald seeks change.
Exhausted from the centuries old feud between his clan, the MacDonalds, and the MacLeods, Malcolm sees no future for any of them. His enemy’s intoxicating daughter stirs a need for peace within him that drives him to risk everything—except her.
Together, they can change destiny—if they dare.
At the climax of one of the bloodiest feuds in clan history, Malcolm and Sheona forge a powerful bond strong enough to break the shackles of prejudice and hatred.
It is one of the stories in “HIGHLAND WINDS”, Volume 1 in The Scrolls of Cridhe. This wonderful anthology will be released on November 17, 2014.
